I realize that a good chunk

I realize that a good chunk of these were the Return to Nature stories/chapters, but I'm pretty surprised at how much I've written this year...and the year isn't even over yet!

Still got stuff to add though from the previous two years, including the entire Divine series.

Finished this list today.

Finished this list today. It's surprising how much writing I've done this year compared to 2008 and 2009. I mostly did my Divine stories for those, which is Quad's (as well as Zephyr's and Iugulare's) origin.

I noticed a few of my stories are similar, so I will apologize about that. It was an accident that I wrote two that were the same, I must have forgotten that I used an idea before. The ones I will point out are:

Working on a new story, not

Working on a new story, not sure where I want to take it but here's the general idea:

Three animals break out of either a zoo or carnival-style setting. All three want to return to their natural surroundings, but the journey will be difficult as all three come from different lands.

Two of them are carnivores and one is a herbivore. One of the carnivores often jokes to the other about eating the herbivore, but I wanted to make it where it was the herbivore that broke the other two out of holding, so the other carnivore feels like they owe him a debt.

I won't throw out which species yet but you'll already know what the herbivore will be. Not sure what direction to take it but I'm always open to suggestions. I just really like the idea of having three unlikely animals team up to deal with a similar situation, as well as conflict among them while they travel.

I haven't decided yet, but a

I haven't decided yet, but a few of the stories I might lump together into a series told by one of my deer. I seem to have a good theme going with them.

The stories in the series would be:

The Grey Rhino
The Golden Hare
*maybe*Left for the Wolves
Out of the Nest
The Spider's Home

Not sure yet, but if I decided to make these into a series, it would probably be Trunks that told the stories, or maybe Zephyr. Just depends on who we see as a better moral storyteller.

Thanks for the support! I'm having a lot of fun writing them (although I'm feeling like a few of them are too similar or having redundant themes).

I think the next shortstory I want to write will be non-deer, so I'm trying to think of a different animal to write about. I really like coyotes, as well as jaguars/leopards... Or I could write one about gazelles, antelope, rams, or goats... hmm...

What compels me to write? Is

What compels me to write? Is it the sudden spark of an idea that becomes a wildfire in my mind, and the only way to unleash the flames is to write them down? Is it my desire to travel and explore, journeying to strange and exotic lands by describing the details of what I see? Is it the realization that I can harness the senses, paint a picture within the mind, do extraordinary things by writing a paragraph?

All of those are the correct answer for me. When I have an idea, I want to write it down so I won't forget the details and things I had come up with - I don't want to lose the spark that ignites the wildfire. I'm constantly dreaming of escaping the life around me, walking a mountain trail, sitting on an island, exploring an old forest with ruins. And lastly, discovering that I can share these experiences with others, maybe even inspiring them to create their own works, is a great feeling to me.

So what compels you to write, draw, paint, create? What dreams have you had that you'd like to share? What drives and motivates you to transform ideas into reality?
