Not sure where this will fit into my stories but I wanted to write it. I also never explained how Caw returned to the Endless Forest so here ya go.

He was compelled to get up and walk this night. The blackbuck nudged his daughter, "Hey Zephyr, I have a funny feeling that something will happen tonight.", Quad spoke to her. The doe sat up, shaking the snow from her fur, "What do you think it'll be?", she asked. Her father shook his head, "Don't know, but I'm going to go walking for a bit and see." The doe stood up and stretched, "I'll come with you. I'm not sleepy."

The two walked in the snow going toward the Twin Gods' statues. The sky was clear and starry, and a slight wind chilled them. Zephyr pressed up against her father for warmth, "I wish the Twin Gods would make it warmer.", she said. Quad let out a sigh and nodded. He was a little tired of the cold himself.

As they stopped on the hill, they saw a few others had come. The ghost deer, Trunks, smiled to them and bowed. His body was surrounded by a few strange glowing orbs, as he was a guide for lost souls. "Hello, my friends.", Trunks spoke. Blixt was also there, the candles on his antlers all lit and radiating light around them. He, too, bowed to them, but he was the more silent type.

Pent slowly made his way toward them, "The trees told me to come here. And one of them said I was getting fat, the nerve!", the pronghorn nipped. Zephyr looked toward Quad, "He's a strange one isn't he?", she whispered to him. Quad smiled, "Don't forget he's your uncle. You're related to him.", the stag replied.

As he spoke those words, two orbs pulsated from the statues before the deer. They morphed and shaped into Michael and Auriea, and immediately the five deer bowed to them in respect. "Thank you all for coming.", Auriea spoke to them, "We have an important matter to attend to tonight."

"There is a strong presence of another here.", Trunks spoke, his fur seeming to stand up a little. He was quite good at this extrasensory skill.

"Yes, you are quite right. Tonight we have decided to bring a deer back to the Endless Forest, someone who was banished many years ago.", Michael spoke.

"'Banished'? Do you mean...?", Quad smiled widely. The gods nodded their heads in agreement, "Yes, the legendary stag Caw has redeemed himself."

The blackbuck nudged his daughter, "We're going to meet Caw! I cannot believe it!", he said excitedly. Zephyr tilted her head, "Isn't that the deer who lived on an island?", she asked, "I thought that was just a tale Dag made up."

"No, he is very much real.", Michael spoke. "It is time."

The two gods stepped back, and channeling their powers, a strange portal appeared before them. The deer all could smell strange, exotic scents in the air. Saltwater, sand, coconut...the air was drenched in the variety. A figure then manifested before them, and the portal sealed up as soon as he appeared. A seasoned, faded-brown stag stood on the hill, his face covered with a wooden mask, his head adorned with strands of grass. The pictogram on his head read "Caw".

The deer before him bowed in respect. The old stag nodded back to them, in such a way that Quad's skin tingled with excitement. Caw wasn't just a legend to Quad, he was the blackbuck's idol.

"Hello, my brothers.", Caw spoke to them.

"Brothers?", Pent questioned. The other deer looked to one another, also confused.

"It's time you knew, all of you.", Auriea spoke to them. "Caw is your oldest brother, and Zephyr's uncle."

Blixt looked toward them, "Whose brother? He couldn't possibly be mine, I was an only child.", he questioned.

"That life of yours was only to protect you. Do you remember the name 'Duo', Blixt?", Michael asked. As he spoke the name, the green stag's eyes widened. "That name...why is it familiar?", he questioned. The god deer smiled, "Because we named you that before you changed your name to Blixt. The same goes for Trunks, who may remember the name 'Trio'" The ghost stag nodded, "I do, and now I understand Quad and Pent's names. They are our younger brothers."

"It has been a long time since I was called 'Uno'...", Caw spoke.

Pent was taken aback, "Who were we being protected from? Why did we each live our own lives unaware of all of this?"

The gods lowered their heads, "Since the beginning of time, we have represented the good of the world. But evil manifested, darkness attacked us. You would not remember the conflict, it was thousands of years ago."

"Iugulare...", Quad spoke. The gods nodded, "Quad knows her all too well.", they replied.

"Caw, Blixt, and Trunks each fought Iugulare in a previous life, but each of them was trapped by her, and the darkness spread. We rescued them from their bodies, giving them new lives here, but Iugulare soon followed. Trunks lost his fawn life because of her. It wasn't until Quad defeated her that we knew the time would come when the five of you would be reunited.", Michael spoke.

"With the unity of your brotherhood, we could defeat her once and for all.", Auriea told them. "Each of you is gifted, and the combined skills may be the key to defeating Iugulare once and for all."

"What gifts do you speak of?", Trunks asked.

"You should know yours all too well, Trunks. You are a healer and a guide. You reside on the world for the sole purpose of finding those who have strayed from the path and bringing them to safety.", Auriea said to him.

"Blixt, you were given another life after your defeat by Dond, and you learned how to appreciate the world and not see everything with eyes of anger. You are equally strong but also very tactical - a great warrior and a trainer for the others who choose to fight."

"Caw has learned from his mistake of worshiping a false god, and thus he is much wiser than he appears. He can see through deception, traps, and problems with ease, and has learned how to handle any situation without worry. He will be our strategist against Iugulare."

"Quad as you probably know is the Grand Talux. He represents the strongest force against the darkness, and will lead in the final battle against Iugulare. He will be the hero we all must protect and support, because his gift is that of immortality as well as light."

"And lastly, Pent is gifted with the ability to talk to trees. But more importantly, he is an accomplished oracle. He has successfully predicted future events, and furthermore he can obtain information from his surroundings. He makes a fine scout."

The deer all looked to one another, each understanding their role and also realizing that they will need to rely on one another when the final battle comes.

"Now that you know the truth about one another, I suppose you all have some catching up to do. We will be here if you ever need us, but for now, begin to harness your skills. We do not know when Iugulare will attack, but when the time comes, there will be no room for mistake when we fight back.", Michael spoke, and the two gods bowed, seeming to vanish from their sight.

The six deer all stood around one another, all seemingly speechless.

Quad was the first one to speak up. "Caw, it's so wonderful to finally meet you...and even more so, now that I know we are all brothers." He approached the old stag, showing him much respect. "Ah yes, my lad. I wondered when the day would come that we would all meet.", Caw replied.

Zephyr walked over to Blixt and Trunks. "I never thought I'd have you as uncles. This is a wonderful night!", she spoke. Turning to Trunks, she asked, "Uncle Trunks, I heard you are a healer. Is there any way I could learn from you? I've always wanted to help other deer." Trunks smiled, "I'll teach you everything I know.", he replied.

Then turning to Blixt, "Uncle Blixt, I also wanted to ask if you could teach me how to fight. I have a little experience but I would love to learn from you.", Zephyr asked her other uncle. The green stag nodded, "Of course I will."

Pent approached Caw and Quad, "So we finally get to meet the legend. The trees have told me all about you, I knew you were real, though I am surprised they didn't say anything about our brotherhood.", the pronghorn spoke. "It was all part of the Twin Gods' plan to keep us in the dark. They didn't want Iugulare to attack us once again, it was very wise of them.", Caw replied.

The six would continue to talk through the night. They knew that Iugulare was building her forces, but now they had the beginnings of a strong defense. As the morning would come, all of them would begin their training to further their skills.

The countdown to the final battle had begun.
