It isn't about posting perfect work. It's about posting your work. It's a way to keep track. There is only a sense of accomplishment for making at least one new thing every day. As you create, you learn.

It's fine to ask for advice or critique. Please do not offer critique unless it is requested. Please use a link for Not Safe For Work (NSFW) images.

The only rule: post only what you have done today. Not yesterday or last month. Only today.

ps- for those who are shy. Don't compete with others. Compete with yourself. Do not be discouraged by others' success. Learn from them instead, and continue forward on your own path.

Yes. The muscles have weight in these. The picture is not "perfect", sure, yet the body form is well translated and it's easy to read its motion, and that gives art the mood, in my eyes, at least.

Hatch lines are a good start. Experimenting with length/width/angles can bring a variety of interesting results.

Not done with this, but I wanted to get this out as quickly as possible.

Ugh. I've been wanting to make Lacie's face a realistic deer for a while, but I didn't have a species for her yet until just recently. It makes me feel like crap though, since she's had the design she's had for so long, and people are used to that one. =/

My idea was to make her look like how her species looks, though she still has the white coat. I wanted the inverse marking of Xiu, to further the connection between the two (It's also backwards in comparison to Xiu's). I'm thinking of adding some black markings along her body, but I haven't obviously drawn the whole body yet.

This thread is so inspiring, I've been meaning to join for a while in the hopes that scribbling something daily might help me improve a bit. So, here is a lazy sketch for today. I'm already learning since now I know to make my lines darker in future! X3

Unplugged, if I comment on someone's work and then not on someone else's, s'not because it's better or whatever. It's either because it simply catches my attention, I relate to it more, or it's personal with the player if their piece stands out from their other work, blabla. It's more about personal taste than talent, I guess. Just saying.

I understand that. But the result is the same essentially. If that doesn't suffice, it's just not what I post for here. I want my work to be treated the same as everyone else's, regardless of personal taste. And regardless of content and quality, I would like each of my pictures to be valued the same because they contribute towards one goal. Which all just works best if just no outside influence is given.

You've brought up a very good point, Unplugged.
Though I disagree with your personal reasoning, I like the concept of the wordless ground.
I wonder if a personal example will be enough, the custom of commenting has set in firmly, it seems. Hmm, perhaps some even post their work secretly awaiting for feedback, these days. I'd like to hear others' thoughts on this [not in this thread, though].

@paperfang: A friend of the parent of my friend (haha) is writing a book on her 'miracle lamb', as she calls it. The poor thing was seriously injured by another animal and somehow managed a full recovery. I'm not sure how the story will be told, exactly, I've just been recruited to illustrate. >w<
