Identity }
Dag's full name is pronounced '
I-or-dag-nyre', and was given the title
'The Fortress' in recognition of the guardianship he gives to and inspires in others. He is a symbol of unyielding strength of will and exhibits an impenetrable, one-pointed focus to rise above any situation. The emblem of victory - the Peregrine Falcon - still remains with him from his first and very old title of 'Wings of Peregrine'.
The Fortress }
Voice - Deep bass; an equal balance of gentility and authoritative power associated with a voice of moral substance and leadership. Feral vocalizations are rare from him, though he is known to produce brontidal rumbles and has an extraordinarily low, growling bellow.
Scent - His scent is very gustatory - likened to the smoulder of a warm, damp bonfire in the middle of open fields; burnt soil of old forests long gone.
Build - Based on an old-world ice giant
Eucladoceros species; the first species of deer genus to have highly evolved antlers yet is a primitive mass of strong bone and muscle. His body type is a visually solid domination with a dense muscular structure most noticeable around his barrel-chest and shoulders, reinforcing the relatively short, strong neck that bares the weight of a heavy square skull - resembling more bull than deer - and its gargantuan artillery; both of which being the most prominent indication of his skeletal bulk. Being top-heavy, his posture is almost restricted to one position when still. A long body means legs are stationed far apart to accommodate and spread the weight, and his head is always held high in balance giving him a kingly air, which is also reflected in his fluid and powerful gait. At full speed, there is very little that can stop his bulldozer momentum.
Antlers - Fortress by design. Supernumerary, elongated branched-antlers where the beam has grown outward behind him, tines growing upward; his outer primary tines are the largest and grow into long forward-facing pincers. There are 12 tines per pedical and are split into four sets, all of which together are specifically designed to interlock with any antler type. Central clusters suited to single beam pronged deer, outer and brow tines designed for the larger supernumerary or palmated antlers such as Irish Elk. They are incredibly thick, astonishingly heavy, and an impenetrable defense that cannot be breached.
Visual - His coat is made up of dense, varying shades of grey that give him an overall arsenic colouration, but his mane and face are the most striking; dirty white for the most part with a carnelian-red pattern draped around the contours of his beady-eyed, frill-cheeked face. The white of his mane continues only half-way under his stomach, and ends in a point with a very thin separating line of charcoal.
There is also an enormous patch-scar that tears through the left side of his neck which is coupled with the nick in his ear on the same side. This was given to him by the Spring Wolf in 2010*.
Conqueror - Being the placid giant he is, Dag never lowers his antlers without reason; rarely has his combat been seen within the peaceful confines of the forest. However, heed the warning of his scar. Events leading up to his present existence shed further light on this war-hardened battler. There is something prehistoric and almost predatory about his combat - the misfortune of colliding with such a monolith is simply an all-sensory deluge.
Antediluvian }
Iaurdagnire's story has become that of Endless Forest legend, starting in 2009 and ending in 2013. His story involves the Forest, the Gods, and the spiritual embodiment of the Seasons whom he served with perpetual lives as a God-given duty. Dag wanted to escape, and continually fought for a life and death that was his to dictate; to cease to be a higher power's fuel for intellectual evolution. But in learning about his place in the world and a way to put an end to his duties, he became even more lost. Ultimately, Dag's story is an exploration of purpose and morality in all forms, and almost entirely community driven. The community has been involved in each section in some way, and these are referred to as "Season Events" by those who have participated; the events were designed for everyone to enjoy, regardless of the story.

Core }
Ravenflight - The Queen His love and greatest treasure; indescribably bound to her like no other. Their history had long ran parallel, and although their paths crossed only rarely in bygone years, they were connected by a deep empathy for their respective trials and desire for freedom. Behind closed doors they each played a part in helping each other fulfill a purpose in order to escape, and then found themselves lost without it. When Dag returned to the forest, Ravenflight tried to help him re-adjust through her understanding of what it is like to feel truly detached from the world around you. As they spent more time together, Dag increasingly began to dote on her and fell very deeply in love. Captivated by her in every way. Ravenflight has given him a new purpose, and Dag is utterly devoted to her continued happiness. Adores and is enchanted by everything she is.
Cry - The Ace Guardian; a source of security; life indebted to. Dag has known Cry for a long time, and upon his return was healed by him (
see 'War Drum' Act V). Displays an affectionate "big brother" attitude towards the small white stag when around him.
Ephiré - The Jack An unspoken natural affinity; indebted to. The two giants have much in common with the way they cope with the world around them, and it is this understanding that lead Ephiré to become the catalyst in Dag's journey (
see 'Catalyst' story arc Act I-III). Has a profound trust in him and admires him greatly. He is also the only deer within the forest to have witnessed the full brunt of Dag's combat.
Virgil/The Red - Part of the Fortress' strong foundations. One of his oldest friends of a different world to his own, wild and unrestricted. At the time of his trials, Dag thought of Virgil's existence as "real", moreso than his own and one he wanted to achieve. Events between then and now strongly effected Dag, but their friendship remains strong and has been rebuilt. [to be re-written]

Dag!... -Dag!... -Dag!
He could hear his name being called repeatedly, sometimes far, sometimes near. Kiraki's calls were like a steady blip of a radar, and the way Dag looked around and swiveled his ears to keep track of her looked as if he was looking out for something dangerous. But that was always half the fun; not knowing where the little terror would pop up from next. The game made his heart thunder in anticipation.
Eventually he could see movement in the grass not too far from him, and he crouched down to hide... Even though his antlers were a give away wherever he was.
Instantly transported into a fawn-like state buckling under excitement, Dag's huge tail wagged back and forth as he waited for the perfect moment to jump up and startle her.
(ajdhfksjd ♥)
>>>>Seed
Dag made a low humming sound as Seed spoke. He could see his point, but he still stood by his reasoning that one cannot fathom of something else unless components of what could be were already known.
"Hah, you're right, those poems are still without titles... And here I am lost for ideas. Jumping subjects is dangerous for one's chain of thought, so it seems." He shook his head, content in the heat of the day,
"Though perhaps titles can only come to light once they are refined, hm?"
Suddenly his eyes shot wide, twinned with a wide and open smile,
"... To assume contentment... but, my butterfly didn't know of any other colour than purple." He turned to Seed excitedly, hurtling off the track he so tried to maintain, "To ponder or even dream of a colour that doesn't exist in your world can't be done. For example, if I were to say to you now, 'imagine a brand new colour'... Hm-hm, you couldn't do it! It is an impossibility... Ha-ah." Conversations like this kept his mind busy for hours, which was a dangerous thing if a certain amount of focus was needed from him.
"... I'm sorry, but I find fun in things like this. Back to your poem titles... Surely you have an inkling of what words their titles could include?"
>>>>Azura
As Lacie went on, Dag's eyes slowly opened, blinking when he felt the touch to his cheek.
"You're saying dreams can be a form of... escapism, from realities?"
His gaze lowered to the ground as he tilted his head around for the bridge of his nose to meet the side of her neck; a... head-hug, of sorts.
"My situation - fate - is known to many. I doubt that even if I were allowed to dream, I could not escape it even then." Dag's voice was quiet and without effort, almost a whisper in its self-pitying tone.
"Hm, you are not a dweeb, whatever that is... Actually, it sounds like a rather darling baby-version of a creature." He smiles briefly and closes his eyes again,
"But you're right, you can be anything you want to be. In my case, it is simply listening to the true force of will and overcoming anything that stops you being..."
He trailed off, unsure of how to finish.
Overcoming anything that stops you from living.
>>>>Pretzil
Dag shook his head and tutted at the doe's assumption,
"The God's would never plan such a thing. They are merciful, and in creating lives, they cannot govern the length of them. That is up to us, and how careful our hooves are in avoiding an end." He sniffed her over, trying to smell any signs of disease. He could not smell anything unusual,
"... This ache you feel, does it stop you from eating and drinking? I know of a few plants that could possibly help if you are feeling weak..."
>>>>Kaoori
"Kaowatchout-!"
Dag skidded to a halt and flinched as the little doe ran head-long into the tree. Though, there was something oddly cute about the short, loud 'Pok' sound of her colliding with it.
"I think you are karma's latest victim." Dag snorted, trying his best not to laugh too much as he came up behind her,
"Dear dear me, are you alright?"
(The cute. It hurts, Kao ;__;)
Hraeth... when I first read that, it registered in my head as daggers as in... knives.
"I heard 'Sweet Disposition' on the radio today and thought murder weapons. <3"

He perked up his ears and turned his head to the wind, forgetting the whole question of titles. This seemed to energize him, the smell of something beautiful and distant, the words that were
"I think there may be a poem in that -- the dreams of the butterfly."
He then smirked.
"That, at least, would have a title...Hm... Oh muse: what manner of thing, then, do you believe our trapped little butterfly could dream of, given the frame of his life?"
(HI. I THINK OF MURDEROUS
Yes, they can. Ever heard the saying "Dreams are the ultimate escape?"
She shifts slightly, only to "Hnrk!" in response as Dag's cold, wet nose, taps her neck.
Aw man. "Dweeb" is...more or less like a dork, or an idiot.
She pauses, taking in the rest of his words.
I'll fight for you. We all will.
Her mind flicks back to earlier in the conversation, and she can't help but ask just one more annoying question about it.
Earlier...you said something about "control." That you become insecure if something's out of your reach...
She shifts again, hoof tapping the ground, in another moment of insecurity.
If you could have control over everything...would you...keep me or anyone else from being "cute," per say?
She somehow thought the answer was "No," but she kept quiet.

Far too persistent to give up Kiraki kept pouncing on every bit of grass in sight. Being so too tiny she was simply too short to see anything past the tall grass in front of her. Giving another will leap she catches something that looks very much like antlers out of the corner of her eye and excitedly starts to twist around mid air attempting to reach them. Upon landing she is once more blinded by the wall of grass in front of her and not quite sure exactly which direction it had been, but certain it had was quite near. She makes a leap in the direction she thinks it might have been.
”Dag! ”
But once again there is nothing there, the sea of grass having completely thrown off her perception of distance as well as her sense of direction.
The day was sunny, the
He sat on the hill near the ruins, gazing listlessly into the distance and pondering about what he should do. He wasn't quite accustomed to just sitting, he liked to wander, but after his near disastrous tumble from the playground that had left his right leg injured he couldn't walk for as long as he would like. He certainly couldn't run either (a fact that frustrated the young whitetail to no end).
Cloud yawned, not only from boredom but also from lack of sleep (stupid nightmares), and stood. Not much use in just sitting around all day, He thought as he stretched one front leg then the other, wincing a bit as he strained his bad right leg. He raised his head and sniffed, catching a familiar scent on the breeze.
Iaurdagnire.
Cloud perked up immediately. If he was to sit with anyone, who better to sit with than Dag? With a small shake, the whitetail headed off in the direction of his friend. It wasn't far, just down the hill to be exact. Cloud approached and bowed. When he straightened, there was a wide smile upon his muzzle, a rare, 100% genuine smile.
"Hello, Dag."
(Hi : D I'm back and I
"I-It's ok... I can feel it. You don't have to talk..." he could feel that Iaurdagnire understood and also felt his sorrow.
He slowly closed his eyes, a wave of tiredness rolling over him and he soon fell asleep, his body relaxing and his sob finally ending.

"Hmm..." The stag fell silent for a while, save for the occasional murmur; a classic sign that some deep thinking was going on. Everyone made similar sounds when something heavy was being thought through... Was it a mechanism to aid the thinking process? It was another question for another time.
"Ah, perhaps you should try eating wild strawberries if there are any about... plant, roots and all." Dag eventually said, his voice bright and encouraging,
"They are rich in vitamins and minerals that should boost your body if you are suffering from any deficiencies. In any case, your nausea is probably linked to a lack of certain nutrition. But you mustn't think of this illness as fate; if there is a cause for something, there is a solution to fixing it. In... the majority of sicknesses, that is." He netted more of her scent quickly without being noticed,
"I am fairly certain it is not a disease. Why not give a strawberry plant a try? If there is to be any cure, why not start off with the most delicious, hm?" Dag chuckled and took a step to the side,
"I could help find you some, if you would like?"
>>>> Kaoori
"Oh you daft creature!" Dag chuckled, walking to stand in front of her. He then licked the front of her face between the eyes so they'd close, hopefully getting rid any... oddities, that she saw.
"There, can you see better... now... er-... ah-heh, sorry." As Dag pulled his head back, Kaoori's poor little face looked very disheveled. His tongue, as expected, was also very big to suit the creature it belonged to, and had essentially bathed Kaoori's entire face in one swift upward drag. He looked past to her fluffed skirt, wondering if this added aggravation would cause her to lift off like a kite if it grew any more.
>>>> Seed
Dag grin spread ever wider to show the sheer expanse of his teeth; he was thoroughly amused by Seed and his rebuttal. He almost seemed defensive of this fictional butterfly, which was most endearing.
"Hm-hm, I think there is indeed another poem in there somewhere. But I ask you this: is there any real difference between yourself, and the scenario we have both placed the butterfly in?" He looked around before continuing,
"By your reasoning, you could take what colours you know to be in existence, and make a new one. And I'm not talking about a new shade; I mean an entirely new colour unlike anything else." The stag's eyes grew wide with wonder,
"It is easy to say that such and such is the limit of its existence, because it is all we know. But how does one dream of what we don't know, whether we have the components to theoretically make it or not? We have the colours we know to exist, which therefore - as you have rightly said - are components in order to make something new. But we know these certain components to be the end of line; there is no more. Therefore to dream of such is akin to that of a God."
He turned to Seed suddenly, laughing,
"If you can create a new colour that has not existed before as blindly as our butterfly, I will refer to you as my Lord."
(My brain imploded.)
>>>> Azura
"Hm-hm, sorry." Dag snickered as Lacie was shocked by his nose. As she went on to explain the definition of dweeb, he felt it was a necessary thing to add to his vocabulary; it seemed a nice way to brush off something someone has said without being hurtful or mean-spirited.
"Of course I wouldn't." He answered her question without hesitation, "There is no controlling who you are... Perhaps I should clarify why I said what I said earlier." His speech was much more confident and sure this time around,
"All too often I have seen deer act purely based on their emotions for another, and never have I seen it end well. An overprotective stag acting on the lust for his lover, a doe hurting herself purposefully as a cry for help... Fighting, for something that doesn't warrant tears and blood. My fear is that growing too close to another because of such innocent things means I will lose control if pushed due to their influence."
"I could never keep you or anyone else from being "cute", or everything you are. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't react so bashfully, would I?"
>>>> Kiraki
Kiraki had come very close, but was simply facing the wrong direction. Dag was hidden to her left side...
"BOO!"
Boomed Dag's voice as he sprang from his crouching position, aiming to startle her. A playful fright was always an exhilarating feeling if one is the receiver of it... well, he liked it anyway.
>>>> Haru
Dag hadn't noticed the approach of the small white tail - he was far too busy arranging the ferns surrounding his sleeping spot. They had woken him up earlier, and he couldn't quite work out what had happened to make them so uncomfortable and... prickly. Generally he wasn't ticklish at all, but it was something about them...
"Hm. How annoying." He mumbled to himself, ears shooting up and turning backwards as the sound of hoof-falls could be heard. He turned around just as Cloud greeted him,
"Cloud!" The stag practically shouted with delight; he couldn't remember the last time he saw him. Bowing rather hastily, he trotted up to his old friend and briefly nuzzled the side of his neck,
"How are you? It's been a long time a-" Dag noticed how Cloud was putting his weight on one leg and not the other,
"-Oh dear, how did you injure yourself? Come and sit yourself down."
>>>> Munkel
As Crybaby fell asleep, so did Dag. Snuggled up with another deer always resulted in him sleeping, regardless of whether or not his companion was planning on the same thing, anyway.
They slept right through the afternoon well into dusk, and as the sun finally disappeared, rainclouds moved in. A rumble of distant thunder stirred Dag from his sleep, but he welcomed storms as they always brought rain, which only meant one thing: an abundance of food the next day.
Yawning, he moved his chin from the ground and rested the side of his face in Crybaby's side, ready to doze off once again.

Kaoori stood, blinking, now covered in Dag spittle. She honestly was at a loss for words, so she shook her head and started giggling. After a few minutes of simply giggling, she caught her breath.
Ah, thank you.. I feel better, and I also won't need to wash later.
She grinned.
(He fears them like hell
Crybaby had a dreamless sleep, no good dreams but also no nightmares because he wasn't sleeping alone.
His ears moved a bit when the sudden rumble came and he wrinkled his eyebrows, slowly opening his still sleepy eyes. He lifted his gaze towards the sky and became as he saw the grey rainclouds over them.
He winced at a sudden thunder and quickly hid his face in Dag's fur, trembling already when the first raindrops fell.
A-are they angry? Have... have I done something wrong?

She herself had seen it firsthand, and indeed, it never ended well.
She shudders slightly, remembering the sights, the smells, the sounds. Deer colliding bodies, blood hitting her nose sharply, the cracking of bones and sinew.
And she hated it.
You want to be the fortress that stands between foolishness and common sense? Hmm...to have the strength to not let emotions control you.
She pauses for a brief moment.
I envy you. I envy you for being able to do that. I only dream of be-
I only dream.
Oh god.
Hahhahaha.
She snaps herself out of it, shaking her head to rid herself.
Focusing her attention elsewhere, she giggles quietly at his last sentence.
Haha, no I suppose not. And it is awful funny watching you fumble, unsure of what to do. Hahaha...
She bumps the side of his face again with the nose of her helm, playfully taunting him almost.
Cloud couldn't help but laugh
He sat at Dag's prompting, easing his right leg into a more comfortable stretched out position. "It's a long story," He said, rather quietly. "In summary, I took a bad tumble from the playground about a month ago and wound up like this."

The little fawn was so enthralled in finding Dag that his sudden ‘Boo’ caught her completely off guard. Reacting instinctively, she leapt up into the air with alarming speed, shooting clear past the large stag’s head and antlers, yet not crying out in surprise or making even the slightest of sounds other than a sudden intake of air. Once she was well beyond his reached she came to a suspended halt in mid air, quickly glancing back down to see what had caused her such a fright.
Realising who it was Kiraki grinned broadly.
”Dag! ”
She had barely even finished saying his name before suddenly starting to plummet back down towards the ground.

The stag's expression softened into an appreciative smile when he saw - and heard - her spirit lift, if only a little.
"You are very kind to say so, Pretzil. But the forest is not the forest without all of us in it - including you." He lifted a hoof and encouraged her to follow,
"Shall we start our hunting party?"
>>>> Kaoori
Dag laughed along, still feeling embarrassed for having slathered her face,
"Well, I think it's time for a swift subject change."
He bent down in a bow, pointing his antlers at Kaoori.
"Would you be so kind as to take down the decorations, Miss Cheeky?" He said with a chuckle, wondering what treasures she stuck on them.
>>>> Munkel
"Mn?" Dag's body twitched with the sudden pressure to his body; it was the feeling of being shocked awake when about to drift. Lifting his head and giving an awkward yawn, he looked down at Crybaby.
"What's the matter?" He asked, reaching over to groom the back of his neck to try and stop him from trembling,
"Did you have a bad dream?"
Another ripple of thunder sounded, though it was far away enough not to be noticed by many.
>>>> Azura
"Fortress..." Dag repeated in a whisper to himself as she continued. He thought it was a rather good word, and loved her description of what he wanted to be - or already is - who knows?
"Hn, -oi." He pushed back when she bumped the side of his face, followed by a very low chortle.
"You are very good with words." He said suddenly, sounding so sure of it that it almost felt out of place for him to say at that moment.
"I've always liked that; how you're able to piece things together and sum up something that, for example, would take me a long while to formulate. And even then I'd tend to ramble."
Dag cocked his head and looked up, letting one ear drop. That typical, thinking-but-really-already-knew kind of action just to support himself.
"... I think too little, and you think until you're on the cusp of thinking too much. Hm-hm, our friendship works quite well."
>>>> Haru
In all honesty, Dag was glad that it was a simple tumble that caused the injury, and that it was not by someone elses physical doing. He was never worried about that type of thing before, but then he noticed how the forest had its little phases of spats... Of course Cloud would never get himself mixed up with that, he was far too sensible.
Ah, jumping to conclusions, that's a very nasty habit that I can't let continue.
"I'm sorry to hear that you hurt yourself, I hope it isn't broken. Plenty of rest, that's what you need, and what better way to rest than to fill me on what you have been up to. I have regrettably lost touch with so many of my old friends, and it's very hard to keep up..." He trailed off, feeling a pang of nostalgia.
>>>>Kiraki
"-!!"
Dag did not expect for him to be given a similar fright in exchange; he was very alarmed at how Kiraki sprang effortlessly into the air, and forced himself against the floor in fear of catching her on his antlers. But he needn't of worried - could that fawn jump!
As she glided to the ground, Dag turned around, stood up, then let his head fall back in laughter,
"Kiraki!" He exclaimed in reply.
(... I really want to draw these two playing now. I'll put it on my (long) drawing list haha.)
His jump in subject surprised
Nah, I'm hardly good with them. I just think too much. As you've pointed out, hahahaha.
She stretches her back again, her spine making small cracking noises, cramps uncramped.
I think you think more than what you give yourself credit for. There's wisdom in your words, you know. You think before you speak, something I lack. If anything, your mind seems to churn more than you think it does.
Absentmindedly, she taps his front hoof with hers.
The only difference is, mine doesn't seem to have an off switch.
He shook his head a bit
Crybaby flattened his ears but they twitched whenever a thunder sounded, as well did his body.
He hid his face even deeper in Dag's fur when the rain grew stronger. But he couldn't bear it any more when a sudden flash of lightning appeared. He jumped up like a scared little fawn, looked up at the clouds in nervousness, the rain dropping on his scared face now.
Hide... h-have to hide somewhere!
He took some trembling steps back, didn't run off yet though.
Cloud glanced down at his
"There isn't much I can tell you, unfortunately. I'm a bit out of the loop myself," He said, "I guess it's my own fault...for being so distant."
He stared off into the distance, a frown creeping across his muzzle. "Kind of strange how we're surrounded by so many deer...and yet can still feel so alone..." Cloud trailed off and shook his head, realizing that he'd said that out loud. "Sorry..." He mumbled apologetically, "Didn't mean to suddenly...dump that on you."
(hahaha, if only Dag knew |D Really, the only reason Cloud doesn't get into fights is because he has an amazing ability to never be in the right place at the right time )
(Hehe me too XD) Her
Her tumbling descent was not quite as graceful as her initial ascending and she dropped to the ground with a loud thud in a jumbled heap of legs and hooves. Wiggling about until she had managed to untangle herself she slowly managed to get her feet, wobbling a bit unsteadily after the dizzying tumble.
However she was quick to recover and grinned broadly at Dag before rushing over towards him.
(Sorry such short reply)
Hm, I never realized I had
Bink (and I) miss playing with Dag. I hope to see you again sometime in the future, and I think you'll be happy to know that I'm finally getting off my lazy bum to work on his biography. xD
<3
Oh wow, that is an old one!
I like seeing old screenshots, because even though I might be in them, I don't remember it at all haha.
I can't wait to see a biography for Bink! He's so adorable. I think I love him for being one of the rare characters who suit the trumpet antlers as part of their set ♥ I miss playing with Bink, and everyone...
Speaking of everyone, I'll reply to all the RP's soon guys *waves at*
I need to reply soon too! D:
>>>> Azura "Perhaps that
"Perhaps that is a good thing." He pulled his ears back as she tapped his dinner-plate-sized hoof with her... comparatively small one. She suddenly looked so brittle, as if she were fine china and any false move could result in a chip. It was as if he'd forgotten that he rarely allowed himself to be so close to others; there was always that fear far back in his mind that he could hurt them.
Move slowly, or not at all.
"... What you say in the spur of the moment already seems calculated and thought through in that split second. You just know how to say things."
Dag snickered, at himself,
"I am silenced when put on the spot, especially in... enraging, situations."
>>>> Munkel
Dag stood up immediately when Crybaby jumped so suddenly.
"Steady..." He said quietly, in almost a whisper. That kind of hushed tone everyone seemed to use on a frightened animal, "Don't run."
The stag approached him slowly, facing him, before turning to the side to stand parallel as shelter from the now driving rain. Dag towered over him, standing fast and raising his head high; an outer wall to the white castle.
"Is there a place you go to in weather like this?" He said calmly, "We can go there if you are frightened; you are safe with me."
(*Wraps in a blanket*)
>>>> Haru
"Yes..." Cloud's expression somehow slithered across the gap between them and landed on Dag's wide snout. He understood this feeling very well,
"It's quite alright. I can relate to it, actually; being distant. It doesn't matter how many you are surrounded by." His brow raised sympathetically,
"To truly be alive, one must be a distraction for others - a bad one or a good one." He added with a laugh, "It's hard to escape the feeling of fading away like a mere memory. Though that can also be an art; to disappear without notice."
He shook his head as the result of his own annoyance; his heavy skull meant that such an action looked like it was actually being performed in slow motion.
"Goodness, I was well away there. Surely I've made things worse - I do apologize."
>>>> Kiraki
Admittedly, Dag's cheeks were beginning to throb with the pain of smiling so much. The way she fell in a crumpled heap and staggered to standing was almost too much to bear.
"You are positively the most adorable fawn to ever grace this forest-!" He said as if it were a problem - and it was! He couldn't go on smiling forever. As Kiraki sped towards him, all he could do was really... brace for impact.
(xD)
Just so you know, I might not be around for two weeks. Don't feel rushed to reply.
(Hur... Dag's win! 8D) He
He was about to run, already lifting one of his forelegs, but Dag's calm, advising voice prevent him from doing it.
His breathing was fast... nervous. Same was his heartbeat. He looked up at the great stag with a fearful gaze and pressed himself more against Dag's protective body when he was standing besides him.
"Uh... y-yes just the n-nearest shelter... the oak t-tree or, or under the b-big stone (playground)... or some-something similar..." he stuttered, his whole body shivering and trembling.
"Ugh..." he winced again when the next thunder sounded, tightly closing his eyes in fear.
Dag took a deep inhale a
"We are closer to Oak... let's head there." He reinforced his decision with a nod and an encouraging glance down at his frightened companion. Taking a step forward, he initiated the direction and their pace; a flighty trot that would hopefully satisfy Crybaby's want to run. He would make sure to be side-by-side with him all the way, though.
(I hope you can wait a while for my next reply <3)
Cloud smiled a bit, "It's
His smile faded and he gazed into the distance, "I was told...that I'm never alone. But...if that's true then why do I always feel like I'm alone?" His brow furrowed, "Although, sometimes I do feel...that there is someone with me sometimes, even when I'm completely alone. It's a strange feeling...almost like someone is watching or sitting by me. Sometimes...I can almost hear a voice..."
The whitetail trailed off and raised his eyes skyward, a ghost of a smile appearing on his muzzle, "I'd like think that it's my little brother watching over me."
(Of course xD) Crybaby
Crybaby followed him, ducked down and still as near of Dag as he could. He winced at every lightning and trembled all along, every thunder making him more nervous.
When he finally saw the Oak tree he couldn't hold himself anymore and ran into it, laying somewhere in the back... as far away of the entrance as possible. And he rolled himself to a ball, facing the bark, still trembling and shivering... and closing his eyes in fear.
