Died of a Broken Heart...

Many may say how they've been broken hearted,
But how many can say they've died of a broken heart?
I can say I have, for today my heart decided to die
And yet, I still live and linger on the Earth

Many truths reside in the world, though none sadder than these:
Dreams do not come true.
Miracles never happen.
Some stories don't have happy endings.

How do I, with my dead heart, continue in this life?
How can I mend my own pain and sorrow?
How can I live to see a better tomorrow?
How shall I dream of miracles if they never happen?

Oh how I wish to just surrender to the dark.
It beckons me endlessly, wanting to free me of my misery.
And yet I know better than to give in...
As no matter what, I always have at least a glimmer of light within.

I have died of a broken heart this day,
Yet here I remain, picking the pieces up, reconnecting them.
My heart is shattered and revolting in my eyes alone,
But it is with the love that remains that I will carry on.

Vent writing, after being driven to a dark and terrible place today. I nearly lost myself, and still feel very weak and weary from the damage that was done.

It had to be written, the truths I am feeling as of this moment. I apologize if I scare any of you, but this day has been among the worst I have had to live through.

Bee (Poem)

The bee scares me
To put it quite simply
I fear his bite and sting
I fear the buzz of his little wings
I fear the path he takes when flying
I even fear the nest in the tree
Oh little bee, why do you torment me?
Why is it so hard for me to see
Your polite and solemn working?
How can I escape my fear ensuing
Every time I see black and yellow pursuing?
What is it you wish to tell, little bee?
To not give into fear so easily?
To not let my instinct get the best of me?
What can I learn from your generosity?
You wish for my life to be free
Of terror, fear, and constant worry?
And you wish for me to live so carefree
Much like the life of a kindly bee?
Then so it shall be

Fog and Flowers (Hushabye)

Still awake and really inspired from the fog this morning when I walked my dogs, and also I wanted to write something in return. I was going to write something about your deer but couldn't find a whole lot of info about him so I hope this is okay. Eye

-------------------------------

Fog and flowers, morning mist
Veiled in beauty, lovely bliss
Here you are, blossomed before me
Though far away no eyes shall see
I traveled afar in search of my light
To protect me from the demons of night
And now here I am, in shrouded awe
To the flowers before me with none a flaw
And thus the curse lifted, my eyes clearing
Gone were the darkness, the demons, the fearing
The fog thus lifted, and petals gave wisdom
So I kissed them for my wondrous freedom
And since then, for every flower that I see
I reminisce of visions and deep endless beauty
So a lesson to us all, shall we always be reminded
Keep strongly the treasures this Earth has provided

StupidFox

Hey my brother showed me this awesome webcomic on Deviantart and I wanted to share it with you guys!

StupidFox by SilentReaper

There's 43-ish comics so make sure to click the 'next' link in the description. I especially loved this one because it reminded me of when I throw the tennis ball for Brandy and Boo. I trick them like that all the time so they don't trust me, haha!

Tell me about your deer!

Heya guys, this is going to come off as a really selfish post on my end, but I thought it would be pretty fun.

It has come to my attention that I don't know a whole lot about many of the deer on the Endless Forest. I was really surprised when reading both Vandettta and Mick Kreiger's Rock Hound stories, that I didn't know their deer had certain abilities and personalities.

I don't read very many bios only because I tend to treat everyone the same when Quad is in the Forest (and also just don't have the time in real life to read them all), but if you would like to, tell me about your deer here. What are they like? What kind of personality do they have? Is there a reason why you created them the way they are? Do they have any special abilities or powers? And so on. Write as much or as little as you'd like! I'd really just like to learn about them! Eye

And if you'd like me to, you can ask me about any of my characters and I'll describe them for you. Striked out names have been requested by someone and have been described in the comments:

'Goodies' - Quad - Zephyr - Pent - Trunks - Blixt - Caw

'Baddies' - Iugulare - Anirapio - Nekumbra - The Rock Hounds - Dond

I hope this is as fun as I think it will be. Eye

The things I've learned

This was a post for someone else on a different website I was on who is struggling and having a difficult life. I posted this for them but I want you all to read it as well. Many of the things I said to this person were lessons you all taught me:

There's a few things I've come to accept about life:

#1 - it's never, ever fair. I lost my father last summer to cancer, he worked at the post office for 45 years and was forced to retire because of it. He didn't get to enjoy his retirement because he was in and out of the hospital, and the doctors made the stupid mistake to 'wait and see if the chemotherapy was doing anything', which just made the cancer get worse. We lost him and it felt like the world was ending, but here I am, still living, still struggling to obtain my dreams. I refuse to give up because it was my dad's dream to have three successful boys, and I can't let him down.

#2 - Everyone suffers. This is a Buddhist teaching that really opened my eyes. You sometimes will believe that everyone else's lives are perfect while you are miserable, but you'll come to discover that everyone goes through hardships. The best way to realize this is to consider a traffic jam. You're suffering by being stuck in the middle of it and having the fears of not being able to get where you were going on time, but when you realize that everyone around you is going through the exact same thing, you'll understand people a little better. Sometimes, people will make fun of you because they're really jealous of you or actually respect you. And sometimes the best way to deal with someone like that is to laugh with them, even if they're insulting you. It's a good way to break the ice, and you'll learn not to get angry at the little things.

#3 - The media makes everything seem so horrible, but that's only because they think that we as human beings are uninterested in hearing about the good things in life.

The Fall of the Islander (shortstory)

Warning, graphic and violent content Rock Hound related

Three of them surrounded the old stag. His body quivered, not of fear, but from the many years that seasoned him. He took a step back, looking deep into each of their eyes. Red, yellow, and blue glows returned looks at him, though their ghostly stares were cold and deep.

He stopped, and they stopped, their skulls drooling infection with deep anticipation. The flesh was right before them, they wanted to sink their fangs in so badly that they thought for a moment they had tongues to taste meat once again.

Caw was calm, but he knew this would be a difficult fight. He was more angry than anything. "Three on one, eh? Well, you appear to be wolves. What happened to the pride and honor you had?", he questioned them. He didn't know if they could understand his words, but he ceased his retreat and stood his ground.

The rock hounds reacted, the red-eyed one approached while the other two stayed behind. "Come on! Come on!", the old stag's grass-like antlers were aimed at the approaching predator. Then the rock hound lunged and attacked, it's teeth grasping Caw's head, penetrating deep into his skull. The creature's strength shattered his skull, the old stag's head bleeding immediately. He felt the thick black infection grow in his wounds. He already felt dizzy and his head was in terrible pain.

He turned just in time to see the yellow-eyed rock hound had rushed toward him, knocking him down and biting his belly. The blue-eyed joined in, trying to open him up with precise nips to the stomach. Caw had just enough energy to kick at the yellow-eyed one's skull, able to knock out the yellow crystal within it's skull. The rock hound gagged like it was suffocating and collapsed motionless.

Chattanooga Zoo Pics (Image Heavy)

Had a great time with my sister-in-law today, we went to the Chattanooga Zoo in Tennessee. I'll have a few more pics up later from her camera, but here's mine + a few captions. (Also note, I refer to any animal as a 'he' if I don't know for certain if it's male or female. These animals may very well be female so if so it's just mislabeled, sorry)

Rock Hound RP/Event Blog

Just a note guys, we're probably going to end up killing the remaining rock hounds in the current rock hound roleplay. This'll mean I may not do any more FeralHeart-based rock hound activity since it was so difficult to coordinate them. So anyway, if you want to participate in the roleplay and fight some of the remaining rock hounds, feel free to join in, but when they're gone, they're gone. I'll make a note on the roleplay as to which varieties are officially killed off when it gets to that point.

Thank you all for the interest, roleplays, stories, artwork, and participation in this event! I'm glad it went so well Eye

--------------------------------------------

This is for events that need to be written about the Rock Hounds but not necessarily in their own story. I'll post little updates on events that occur, such as crystal purifications and maybe Iugulare's thoughts on what is going on.

Anyone who would like to write their own Rock Hound Encounter stories can do those here instead of making individual blogs, but that's strictly up to you.
