"Dig faster! I think we've found something here!", Iugulare's voice ordered. She watched as Anirapio and Nekumbra dug deep into the ground near the Ruins. The dragon and spider-doe huffed with each stroke into the ground, and little by little a massive skull was uncovered.
"That's enough. I'll take over from here.", the stoat spoke, and climbing down into the ditch that the other two had dug, she studied the newly found bones.
"Interesting...this is another wolf skeleton like the rock hounds, but...", she began, Anirapio finishing her sentence,
"It's huge compared to the others. This must have been the leader."
"Leader? I'm confused, I thought those 'alpha' rock hounds were the leaders.", Nekumbra questioned. Iugulare looked over to her,
"Mhmm...those ones were high ranking, but even they bowed down this this one. I'll have to forge another crystal, it shouldn't take too long...", she replied, and climbing out, she said to them,
"Guard the skeleton. I'll be back in a moment.", and hurrying off she slunk into the darkness.
Time passed, and Iugulare returned with a new crystal...one pure white and glistening brightly. She climbed into the ditch, and inserting the crystal along with some infection into the wolf's skull, she stepped out and watched as the skeleton came to life, pulling itself out of the bedrock as the infection connected the bones and created tendons. The skeleton was indeed much larger than them, seeming to tower over them as it bent down.
The great wolf skeleton was able to speak through telepathy much like Anirapio could,
"You have freed me and my clan from our prison, and for that I thank you. Now be on your way, as I have much to do. Those foolish deer of this Forest will be exterminated by my pack for refusing us."
The words bothered Iugulare, who replied,
"You will follow my orders alone. I have a deer for you to hunt...", but the skeleton laughed and spoke,
"You dare give me orders? I am the leader of the Sonoma Tribe, I am the one who gives orders, not take them! This is your last warning as you are already annoying me - leave me to my work or die!"
"How dare you! I am the one who brought you back into the world, and you defy my commands? I can easily remove my infection and let you rot in the ground!", Iugulare spat angrily. The great wolf skeleton scoffed, and with concentration, the Deadly Trio heard something strange from within the wolf. The white crystal within shattered into countless pieces, yet the wolf remained in-tact and in control. Iugulare could no longer command the infection on the wolf's bones, and it lowered it's great head toward them and said,
"What little control you had over me is no more. I wonder how it would feel to devour you and your little friends. I loved feeling my prey squirm within my stomach, and I may not have one anymore but this blackness you have given will be suitable." The great wolf lunged at them, all three managing to escape in time.
"It's too big for us to handle!", Anirapio called. Iugulare hissed and then called,
"Fall back!". The trio escaped, and the great wolf looked down and watched with pleasure as they ran. Turning, she let out a massive roar that shook the ground, calling out to her wolves.
-----------------------
"This isn't good!", Nekumbra spoke, catching her breath. Iugulare paced angrily,
"It wants to kill all of the deer! If that happens, my plans will be ruined! I've got to have live hosts if I'm to have my army for invasion!" "What could we possibly do? This has already gotten out of hand.", Anirapio questioned.
"We can't fight it with brute force. How else could we defeat this giant wolf?", Nekumbra asked. Iugulare sighed at this point,
"There's only one option I can think of...and none of us will like it."
-----------------------
The blackbuck was lapping up pond water when he raised up, sniffing the air. Quad turned in time to see Iugulare, Anirapio, and Nekumbra approaching him. Immediately he grew the wings on his back, and standing his ground, he expected a fight here and now.
"Wait, Quad! We're not here for this. We...", Nekumbra began, unsure of the words to speak.
"Your kind is in danger. I know, it's odd that we would come to you for this, but...", Anirapio continued the sentence, letting Iugulare muster the heart to speak.
"We need your help, Quad."
The fat blackbuck tilted his head, not believing his ears. Were his enemies actually asking him for help?
"Is this some kind of trick?", Quad questioned immediately.
"No trick this time.", Iugulare spoke, and at that time, a loud crash sounded nearby. Quad turned in time to see a massive creature roaming in the distance, knocking trees over and roaring. Several of the small rock hounds could be seen underfoot, running and 'barking' alongside the giant wolf skeleton.
"That's the creature there. I lost control of the infection on it."
Quad backed turned toward the giant wolf skeleton in the distance, backing away enough to where he was standing beside Iugulare and the other two. At this point, to Quad, enemies didn't matter. He wanted this thing stopped.
"Alright, I'll fight it, but I'm going to get some help. There's too many of the rock hounds for me to handle at once.", he spoke.
"Quad, don't think for a moment that this makes us friends. I still despise you...but in this case, having a common enemy is enough for a truce.", Iugulare spoke bluntly.
The blackbuck nodded, and turning, he said,
"Meet me at the pond in a few moments. I'll have some others with me to fight.", and immediately he ran off.
-----------------------
Word spread quickly that the Forest was in danger, and those able to fight were to come to the pond. Quad awaited both his friends as well as the Deadly Trio, the precious moments seeming like an eternity to him while the great wolf and the rock hounds were running rampant.

As for the mate, perhaps he/she was killed a long time ago, and this wolf continued to lead this pack alone? It could even have been searching for a new mate, but never found anyone fitting before it died. Or something. xD

Alright guys, the roleplay has officially started. It's currently set at the Pond, and Quad's there awaiting fighters to face the rock hounds and the giant wolf skeleton that are approaching.
((I've been thinking about
It hit her hard. The smell of blood - Erza's blood.
Her head snapped up and she saw him. It confused her; he obviously wasn't hurt. He was just grazing in a pool of sunlight, his mind elsewhere. By the way he was brushing his face occasionally with his hoof it appeared to be about the loss of hair in patches over his body.
Then they both heard it. The crashing noise of trees falling. They both ran towards the noise but Zera skidded to a halt.
The sound of battle was ringing through her mind yet something told her this battle was neither from the past or the present. There were roars and crashes but the thing that leapt at her was a sickening snap and a scream. But... that scream was Erza's! She looked into her brother's eyes and he immediately knew what she was trying to tell him. He lay back down in the golden spread of light and whispered for her to go. He watched her with eyes that held something alot like longing but didn't move or say anything as she turned and sprinted away from him.
She was the the first to reach the pool and immediately wished she hadn't. A huge monstrosity awaited her - but she wasn't just talking the giant rock hound that loomed over everyone that was nearby. No, she was talking about the sight of Nekumbra, Anirapio and Iugulare.
Usually, the scent of the infection would have made her eyes water and caused to her to retch but not this time. This time a wave of anger flooded her mind and body as soon as she laid eyes on the tiny black figure of Iugulare.
No longer a fawn and big enough to tower over the stoat, Zera stormed up to her.
"This is all your fault, isn't it!? You have caused nothing but trouble for all of us and now what? Your creatures are tearing apart this forest risking the lives of everyone - not least your self! Why can you not see this? Why can you not just leave us alone?"
Zera could feel her powers rising and the aura around becoming dense. The voice in the back of Zera's head was screaming at her to kill, to Kill, To KILL... and for once, she was willing to agree.
((Quick, someone stop her before she kills Iu xD ))
The doe was lurking in the
Quad quickly stepped between
Iugulare scoffed, taking a few steps to one side so she could look into Zera's eyes, "I see differently than you do, little one. I see opportunity, strategy, and achievement. This is one hindrance on my plans, but with Quad's help this mistake will be fixed.
No, it is you that does not understand. I do not wish for your death, I only wish for your servitude. Those who refuse, well...it will cost their life. Don't ever lecture me again, you do not understand my nature."
"That's enough, Iug.", Quad barked, and turning to Zera, he spoke, "We don't have time for this right now. That big rock hound is a much bigger threat right now than Iugulare is. Please, just trust me."
To Cay Lynn, Quad spoke, "The big creature is almost touching the treetops. Look just over there, behind the trees...", he directed her attention to the distance, "It's right there, coming closer..."
Phion trotted in to the midst
Quad, you're the general here. Let me know what I can do to help. I have seen the Great Lupine myself, and I don't think little bursts of light are going to be enough to bring him down. Her sudden serious turn was not meant to put everyone on edge, but it was meant to show how much she meant to fight for her forest.
The doe stood still, listening to the trees scream beneath the heavy skeleton of the Great Lupine. She brushed up beside Zera, giving her a subtle hint that this would be the time.
(thanks, starling! The avatar is amazing! And Thanks Pretzil for the siggie!
Illrose slowly made her way
"How are we supposed to fight that?" She asked the group that had already gathered. Again Illrose wished she could take on her dragon form within the Forest, but this time for a far more serious matter than simply show off all her strength and power.
Zera threw her head up and
"Now, Iugulare, I'm not happy about this but seeing as you know the most, what happened and - like Illrose said - how in the forest are we supposed to kill it?"
The doe's long dark brown
She saw the group by the pond, they appeared to be discussing it, so she appraoched to hear the tailend of someone asking how they were going to kill the thing.
"Um, excuse me..." She whispered almost loud enough to be considered speaking. "I don't think that killing it is what you....nevermind. That thing...it feels weird. It feels dead. Like...devoid of living energy but it's moving around. I think you'll need some kind of heavy firepower to fight it."
Iugulare spoke up, "The
Quad was about to come up with an answer on stopping the giant rock hound when nearby, he heard someone call, "Dad!!"
Turning, he saw Zephyr as well as Hex approaching. "Zeph! Hex! What are you two doing here? This place is too dangerous for you!", Quad called back.
Zephyr, out of breath, spoke, "Hex has something important to say, to all of you. She had a prophecy about this fight!"
Hex, nodding, said, "The great wolf you see is much more than it appears. It's legs can crush the strongest of bones underfoot, it's jaws will try to snap your bodies in half. Much worse, I see flames being spewed from it's throat. This will prove to be a great challenge for you all...but I see one of you will defeat this great beast - not by brute force but by common sense. Who it is, I cannot tell. I see them surrounded by flames, but the great skeleton falling to pieces before them. That shape...I do not know which of you it is that looks like that, but it is certainly not Quad."
At this moment, the rock hounds began to move toward them, the great one locking on to the warriors. "Zeph, get Hex out of here now!", Quad ordered, and at once his great wings flashed onto his back. The others prepared at this moment as well, the fight soon commencing here.
((I will choose one of you at random to be the one to destroy the great wolf, and it may be due to brute strength or simply outsmarting the wolf. That'll happen later on, I'll announce who it is to defeat it. At this moment, you can begin fighting. Here's the Rock Hound Info again with current crystal totals if you needed to refer to it. Good luck!))
Hex's approach and new
She shook herself from her daze and prepared for the onslaught of skeletal wolves. Due to her lack of antlers, she would have to rely on her powers and some powerful kicks. A yellow was approaching fast. It was running way ahead of the rest with two others of the same colour but this one had its eyes set on Zera.
She gulped as she remembered past experience of these things but had no time to contemplate further as the rock hound leapt at her. She ducked to the side and lashed out with her hind legs, snapping a few of it's ribs off. The infection that lingered within stuck to her hooves but she burnt it off with a flare from her pictogram. The wolf cowered under the light which gave Zera enough time to dig her fore legs into the ground and call upon her new found powers.
She had no idea what would happen which is why, when what appeared to be a powerful shot of water collided with the rock hound and knocked its fore leg and skull off, she headed backwards into the pool. Who knew, maybe it would happen again?
"If I remain back from the
Extreme chaotic distortions were as rare as the name implied, so when Nathaniel felt one, he was drawn to it. As he was now. He looked upon the rock hound hoarde that approached the group that included the woman that he had fought for before, Nekumbra. He approached her, wary of Anirapio and Iulgulare who had been his opponents last time.
"Nek, I'm guessing you could use a little help," He said.
Illrose had been staring at
"I'm not sure if you should fight. You could be handy to have if anyone should get injured." She answered her. She watched as Quad grew his wings, and one other deer fought the wolfs off with some sort of magic Illrose had never seen before - not in the forest, at least. She then suddenly kicked out at a red eyed wolf that came jumping in her direction.
As Kahlan questioned what to
Meanwhile Nekumbra nodded toward Nathaniel, "Help would be very nice, darling. I may not be the strongest here but I can certainly assist those who need it."
Iugulare stood by Quad's side, a rare sight for those who saw it - the infectious stoat and the Grand Talux working together. As a blue-eyed rock hound approached them at full speed, Quad caught the bottom of it's jaw with his antlers, maneuvering to where it was pinned on the ground. Iugulare worked quickly, using her gelatinous body to climb into the rock hound's skull and rip the crystal out. As soon as the blue crystal was removed, Quad released the rock hound from his hold, and immediately surveyed for the next one approaching.
"Good teamwork. I think this strategy will make this fight easy.", Quad said to his rival. Iugulare nodded, "I suppose 'fighting infection with infection' is a suitable saying.", she replied.
"Thank you..." She trailed
With the dark blue doe and the dragon moved away, Nathaniel thought of the ways that he could help. First, shifting to his traditional combat form, his humanoid self, which was a lot less painful than usual, probably due to the amount of chaotic energy that was around, which gave him an idea.
"There's an awful lot of chaotic energy around this place," Nathaniel said, "I can harnass that. That's how my power works. With the amount that's here, I can break the forest's magical rules for other people. So...does anyone have an alternate form that they would prefer to fight in. I could only I think do one...maybe two of you..."
As the wolf attacked her
I do have an alternate form I would prefer to fight in. If you could give me that form..." Illrose trailed off, stepping closer to the man.
Seeing the first wave of
Let me know if you need anything, okay? Phion smiled at the Talux before springing forward and in to the path of several rockhounds. She let loose her boiling tears, and small bursts of light stunned and incinerated parts of the skeletons. As she found a hound too injured to move, she would crack its skull and leave the crystal on the ground.
Maybe six hounds later, Phion started kicking crystals, until a nice, neat pile formed. Six crystals: One red, three blue, one yellow, one green. Laughing, the doe began to bring back the crystals one by one.
The pile grew to six again by Kalhan. If you need healing, I will heal you. She whispered, smiling, before trotting to the top of the twin-gods hill for a better vantage point.
I can see it! She yelled, pictogram aglow and growing. Quad! We can't take it without more deer! We need more deer!
(thanks, starling! The avatar is amazing! And Thanks Pretzil for the siggie!
At this moment, Quad and
Quad was not so lucky, being struck several times from the sniping rock hounds. He cringed, though maintaining his balance, running toward them to stop their attack. The continued successful shots at him was too much, and he collapsed, covered with the thick black goo.
Those who looked over and saw their 'leader' collapse were horrified, and then surprised when Iugulare came to his aid. Rubbing up on his side, she absorbed the infection on him, and spoke, "Get up, Quad! I can't do this without you!"
The Grand Talux rose to his feet, the stoat standing up and widening her body much like a shield. She marched forward, shielding Quad from the infection as it struck her without any effect. As they neared the two, Quad pounced on one of them, pinning the snapping skeleton down, while Iugulare engulfed the other, ripping out the orange crystal within. Quad concentrated his light burst downward so it wouldn't damage Iugulare, the infection on the skeleton he had pinned fizzed, and quickly he broke open the skull and removed the other orange crystal.
While this was going on, a shrouded purple-eyed rock hound was creeping toward Kahlan and Anirapio. The dragon smelled the approaching wolf but could not tell where it was at. "Show yourself, you coward!", she roared through telepathy, with no result. The wolf was closing in on them, and ready to pounce.
Roe had heard the call to
This can't be happening, she thought. She looked around frantically, spotting Phion collecting crystals from the hounds' heads. Quad and Iugulare were working on two other hounds. Quad had taken a few hits, but was maintaining his own.
Heal or fight, Roe pondered. She didn't have to ponder long. Her choice was made for her as a hound raced towards her, snapping it's jaw, foam flying.
Roe turned to face the beast. As much as she didn't like (nor condone) fighting, she was skilled at direct combat. And she was quick. The hound came closer, ungodly chortle coming from it's shredded throat. The creature was something out of a nightmare. All bones, held together with fragments of rotted flesh and infection. The skeleton was canine, but of what species, Roe didn't know. Not that it mattered. It was coming for her, and it was coming fast.
Roe focused on the beast's eyes which were glowing green with savagry. The beast's head cocked to the side, jaws opening, as it leaped, forelegs out-stretched. Roe side-stepped, her lithe, dark body turning. She kicked out with her hind legs, hitting the hound in the shoulders. It yelped in frustration more than pain, it's quarry now behind it.
Roe wasted no time. She jumped at the hound, front hooves making contact with the beast's hind quarters. It's pelvis shatterd. This time, the yelp was all pain. The hound turned, snapping at Roe, trying to make contact, and almost succeeded. But Roe was too fast. She pulled her front legs up, avoiding a nasty bite, and brought them down on the creature's skull, cracking it. The scream from the hound was horrible - full of anguish and fury and hatred. It ignited anger in Roe. She pounded her hooves again into the beast's skull. And again. Her lips curled back in a little snarl as she brought her sharp hooves down a final time. She snorted through flared nostrils as she kicked a green crystal from the beast's skull. Roe picked up the crystal in her mouth and carried it to the pile that Phion had started. She looked around, surveying the others, ears flicking around.
(sorry! That was kinda long!)
Kahlan pointed at a spot on
"Um...excuse me," She said to her dragon protector, who's name she still didn't know. "It's there." Even though it could not be seen, it didn't cloak it's lack of life energy, probably because it's hard to cloak something that isn't there. When it was alive it was probably impossible to find, but dead, it was easy enough for Kahlan's supernatural senses to pick it up. She returned to her concentration, expanding a field of healing energy across the field of combatants, targeting it into the allied beings, so that when injured, they would heal without having to call for help.
Her expression became a frown as she dealt with the energy needed. This was going to be hard, but she knew that she had to keep it up as long as she could, she would keep it up until the fight was done. She had to, otherwise people could die. Someone told her they would heal her if she needed it. She fought the urge to laugh.
"My power extends to myself," She replied. "I'll be fine."
Nathaniel nodded, and summoned the energy, a purple haze surrounded Illrose, as his magic began the work of transforming her into a dragon. He wondered if she was a large dragon. Breaking the rule that was holding her in her deer form in this forest was not easy. Even with all the energy that he had. That was why he hated magical rules. Rules of the universe, such as gravity were easy to break, since they were simple, not created for a purpose. Simply there, to hold the universe in check. Simple rules were easily bent, requiring little energy.
Magical rules were designed to hold against assault from chaotic beings, particularly those used to hold someone in a form not their own. That made it far harder to break, since his chaotic energies had to break through each of the strands of the spell, each of the intricacies that prevented them from changing back under hundreds...or in the forest's case, thousands of cases, the exception being with Nathaniel himself, who could transform with or without energy, due to the unstable nature of his very being. The forest magic was some of the most complex he had seen. No wonder the two that had created the spells had been revered as Gods. Still, their magic could not stand up to Nathaniel's ability to incite chaos.
She would be a dragon again. At least...for a time she would be. He figured this was the kind of spell that would self repair. That meant that eventually she would revert, whether or not he returned her to her deer form.
Anirapio's eyes looked to
The skeleton began to snap at her, biting into her legs and side. This didn't phase the dragon very much, and quickly, she maneuvered to where her body held the wolf down, then using her powerful mantis arms, she ripped the rock hound's head clean off.
The infection dripped off of the bottom of the skull, and soon after the purple crystal dropped out, the light fading and becoming black.
"Hang onto that, Kahlan.", Anirapio spoke to her, nudging the crystal over with her snout. As she did this, she then spoke something else, "Oh...and my name is Anirapio."
Zera kept a close eye on the
Her thoughts were interupted by another rock hound finally plucking up the courage to leap into the water. Zera had moved deeper since more had approached her. They were quickly dispatched with the pressurized water when Z managed to concentrate.
Pieces of bone floated around her aswell as different coloured crystals: the original yellow, an orange and two reds. The orange had been the hardest due the long range infection spitting, but it came closer after Zera had backed into thigh deep water.
At the moment though, a yellow was running into the water. It was splashing towards her at speed but another sensation came to Zera. She brought her hooves down in the water as if she was casting a spell but instead of an antler change, a wave the height of the doe herself snapped the wolf's spine and crushed many more of it's bones. Zera smirked behind the mask. Water manipulation as one of her god given powers? Awesome!
She blew gently across the, now still water, and watched as the crystals and bone fragments washed ashore.
((Sorry, that was longer than expected '^^ ))
Cay Lynn had been looking and
Illrose was on a constant
'Thank you.' She couldn't speak human with her mouth, but used telepathy to transfer her words to him. She then simply sat down, and picked up the closest rock hound with the 'fingers' on her wings. It was now an easy task to remove the stone from it's skull.
( I hope you guys don't mind she changed into a dragon. ^^' But if anyone has any objections, please let me know. )
((Snow, it's my RP, and I
Quad and Iugulare stopped in their tracks, watching as Illrose transformed. "Oh my Twin Gods!", Quad cried in shock. "Hmph! What a showoff!", Iugulare scoffed.
Nearby, Anirapio stared at the other dragon, her eyes widening as well. "There is another similar to me in this Forest? Interesting...I may have to see if this 'Illrose' has any ideas toward saving my species on Ibuzon.", she spoke seemingly to herself, though a few others around could hear her thoughts.
Nekumbra was busy slowing down a yellow-eyed rock hound with her webbing. She cocooned the snarling wolf skeleton and pinned it down, crying out, "Someone help me kill this thing! My venom has no effect!"
Coming! She bellowed, racing
If you keep doing that, we could kill pretty efficiently, huh? Oh, and venom has no effect on things without flesh. The golden doe nuzzled the arachnid-doe. Her tail waggled happily, killing a prevalent perversion in her eyes. Phion was a little drunken by the power and fray, but so were most of those around her.
Have fun, Illrose! Phion saluted before leaping in to the battle one more time. The dragon could crack skulls like pistachios, it seemed.
Phion bounced and bounded, bugling as she leapt on skull after skull, her ankles jamming from the effort. She could not feel them, though, until it was nearly too late.
The doe stumbled over to the healer, smiling, and laying on her side as she heaved in breath. Not a good technique. She breathily joked, smiling.
(thanks, starling! The avatar is amazing! And Thanks Pretzil for the siggie!
(Edit: ninja'd) Roe heard a
Roe heard a call for help from a very strange looking doe. Did she say venom?? Roe ran to the doe, never taking her eyes off the rock hound trapped in webbing.
What the hell-" she muttered under her breath as she reached the two. Roe didn't hesitate. She reared up, bringing her sharp hooves down on the beast's skull, cracking it. Rearing a second time, she grunted as she brought her hooves down, this time shattering the skull.
Roe looked at the spider doe and nodded. "How many of these things are there?" She didn't expect an answer.
((Haha well let's assume Nek
"Thank you both for the help. Looks like...", Nekumbra did a head count of the remaining rock hounds, "59 left, not including the big one over there..."
***also please note, if you kill any rock hounds make sure to include crystal color for me so I can record victories on the RP page. Thanks***
( Good. :') ) Illrose
Illrose watched as the yellow stone she had just pulled from the wolf's skull faded to black, and she reached over to drop it where someone else had started a pile of stones. She then raised her head as she heard Nekumbra cry for help, but two other raced toward the spider doe before Illrose even got time to move. She felt a faint stinging in her tail, where one of the wolves had bit down, not able to penetrate her thick scales. It's eyes were glowing in a pretty blue color. Illrose picked it up, and removed the stone from the black substance in it's skull. She dropped the skeleton wolf as it became motionless, and placed the stone among the others in the pile.
'Oh, believe me, I have fun.' She answered the golden doe with a slight laughter. She then heard a snarl right in front of her, as if a wolf were standing there, but she couldn't see anything. Illrose frowned, and sniffed the air as she bent down her large head.
'Playing hide and seek, now, are we?' She thought, grabbing in the direction she believed the wolf to be, but she only grasped air, and growled in frustration.
Since his last encounter with
He lept into action, a dancer taking to the field, the sword an elegant death. It made contact with the skull of an orange rock hound, and unlike the metalified branch he had used in his last combat, which had just been a blunt weapon, this sliced into the bone. Only a few strokes were necessary between doding the jaws and spit of this orange before his sword got into the crystal area of the skull. He channeled his powerthrough the blade as it touched the crystal, and the sword attached to it, making it easier to ram back through. One down, He thought, as he moved onto his next opponent, repeating the tactic. A few more to go...
"Um thank you for telling me your name," Kahlan answered the dragon, as she stood over the crystals that had been given to her to guard. She scanned across the battlefield. No one seemed overly injured, until Phion came to her, after having tried a very odd tactic. She had paid the price of that. A small white butterfly, a manifestation of her power, flew out of Kahlan's antlers, and travelled to Phion, landing on her, it returned to a life energy state, and her wounds began healing.
"I don't recommend trying that again," She said, returning the smile.
Then her head whipped around.
Another purple shrouded rock hound was near, close to Anirapio, she could have yelled, but Kahlan knew that it wouldn't be fast enough. The response was instinctual. A dark energy struck through the very faint glow that was her healing energy extending out of her. This blackness, was really only visible to her, so only she saw it fly directly into that rock hound, destroying the organics of the bone, breaking the hound. She cut off that side of her power after that. She would not do that again. That was dangerous enough, if she succumbed to the temptation that had arisen to expand that blackness across the field, destroying everything, then the darkness would return to her. She couldn't have that happen again. Not after what she had seen it do to her.
Nearby another green-eyed
She then collapsed and called, "Someone help!". Her belly had been nearly torn open, and was bleeding badly. The green-eyed rock hound was nearby, struggling to break the silk bindings. If she wasn't reached in time, it would break free and try to finish her off.
Anirapio watched as the purple rock hound seemed to explode nearby. She was lucky to have Kahlan there - sensing the cloaked creatures was becoming a pain for her. A blue-eyed rock hound stalked them from the tall grasses, and then bounded at the dragon. She grabbed the wolf from mid-air, though unable to break the bones since they were so much stronger than the others. The wolf snapped at her, Ani keeping the fangs from biting into her. "I can't hold onto this guy for much longer! Assistance please!", the dragon called. She was slowly losing her grip on the blue-eyed rock hound.
Elsewhere, Quad had his antlers locked into the jaws of a red-eyed rock hound. Iugulare had him protected from the stray spits of the orange-eyeds that were trying to pick him off. Quad's muscles ached as he tried to overtake the red-eye, feeling himself slide backward as the wolf advanced him. He acted quickly, shoving the wolf back and trying to pin it for Iugulare, but it threw him off and leapt onto him, the jaws grasping his neck and squeezing.
Iugulare was preoccupied by the orange-eyed rock hounds to realize Quad was being choked. He couldn't gain the air to call out, and slowly he felt himself begin to black out, his legs slowly relaxing and falling limp. "H...he...lp...", he mustered to say, though it sounded like a whisper.
((If your character plans to help one of them, please let someone else help the others. I don't want anyone to be Superman here and save all three of them at the same time ))

Illrose continued to grasp thin air as she tried to grab the invisible wolf. She could still sense it, it was close. In the end, she got so annoyed she swung her body around and whipped her thick tail in the invisible creature's direction. She could feel her tail hit something, heard a barking noise as the wolf flew through the air before it landed in the grass with a thud, now fully visible. Illrose snarled as she quickly grabbed the wolf, and picked the purple rock from it's skull. She placed the rock in the pile guarded by Kahlan when she heard the other dragon calling for assistance. Illrose quickly spread out her wings and flied over to where Anirapio was struggling with one of the blue eyed wolves.
'Just hold it for a bit longer.' She said with telepathy, while she grabbed the wolf's skull and bent it's jaws apart, despite it's attempts to close it's mouth, or spit it's infection at her. Illrose pulled the blue stone out, and watched as it faded to black.
'There.' She said, grinning at the other dragon.
Quad struggled to his feet,
He then looked over to Iugulare, and while the orange rock hounds continued to spit at her, a green charged at her. Quad acted quickly and ran toward the stoat, leaping through her to strike the rock hound at the same time it pounced at Iugulare. The force shattered the wolf's skull with enough force that the crystal flew out of the skull before it could regenerate.
Quad pulled himself out of Iugulare's body, the pain in his legs overcoming him for the moment. He rested behind her, trying to catch his breath.
Anirapio tossed the now motionless wolf to the ground, and smiling up at Illrose, she thanked the other dragon. "Your reflexes are very impressive!", the alien spoke.
"No problem" she replied
The rock hound was about to
The orange-eyed rock hound slammed into a tree, it's spine shattering. Incapacitated, it snarled and barked at the two on the ground. They had a brief moment to gasp for air as one of the red-eyed rock hounds approached and was about to infect them even more.
Iugulare, this time, rushed to their side, engulfing the red-eye. The rock hound struggled inside of her, "Shh...shh...let it overtake you...", the stoat enjoyed every moment of the skeleton struggling within her, until the red crystal was removed. The skeleton ceased movement, and she released it from her body, a pile of bones that made a strange sound as they hit the ground. She spat out the red crystal that was removed, and then went to see how Quad and Cay were doing, noticing the snarling orange-eyed rock hound by the tree that was about to spit at them...
