It's been a long time since I last visited the Forest. I can't believe how fast the time has come and gone...

I'm back in the states and have a place of my own now. I'm also working full-time as a freelance illustrator! It's pretty nice. c:

Is there anyone around who still remembers Lemon and I? I had fun frolicking in the Forest for a bit, and saw one or two familiar faces -- but there are lots I don't recognize!

Lemon's sleeping in the Birch forest at the moment if anyone wants to come say hi. Just be sure to holler at her because I have TEF running in the background while I paint.

5 OCT - Feeling better, and back to business! :3 Also realizing that I really need a better way to organize this! My goodness, this blog is getting huge.

It's quite a mess to sort through right now. Any and all help is always appreciated, but I will certainly try to figure something out to make it a bit more readable and eye-friendly.

So Nopje finally kicked my butt into gear, and here I am. :3

I have been wanting to start up a very big project here in the TEF community, but I'm not sure how many people would be interested, or how exactly it should be set up.


Basically, I'd like to set up a kind of art class just for TEF!
We have so many awesome artists here, but I've noticed so many other aspiring artists who are eager to learn! I think this might be an excellent way to pull the community together and have some fun.

Hey guys! Lieka brought it to my attention on Deviantart that I never posted my "goodbye" post.

Those of you who know me know that I have recently been disappearing off and on for quite some time. Unfortunately, this time I'll be leaving the community for good. I'm so sorry if my disappearance has worried anyone, or hurt anyone's feelings.

I'm not making excuses with this post, I just want you guys to understand why I won't be around. I figure I owe you at least that much. (:

Friends of mine know that I've been struggling with anxiety for many years, and recently the stress has gone through the roof. The Endless Forest was, at first, a place where I could come and relax. But as my character grew, the drama kept increasing, and it became stressful simply playing the actual game. This sounds bad, but it isn't meant that way. Drama is good, I've always said that. But I'm at a point in my life where stress is so high that I can't deal with any more. So roleplaying isn't for me, right now -- and not just at TEF, but everywhere I used to roleplay. I get too intwined with my characters, and I can't take it.

Please understand that it isn't you guys at fault. I really want to stress that part. Basically, I have a disorder which causes my brain overreact to every tiny amount of stress. Things which most people don't bat an eyelash at. It gets so bad sometimes that I actually feel the physical effects. For a few years, up until last June, it was difficult for me to even leave the house. That's under normal circumstances.

November 30

It was a fairly chilly day – even for early winter. My silver winter pelt had already begun to grow shaggy and soft in preparation for the coming season. After a night of snow, the earth had accumulated a thin dusting of ice; and there was nothing I liked better. The muffled crunch of snow beneath my hooves was always so exhilarating, and I had already determined to make the best of the day by seeking out the areas of the forest which had not yet been trampled down by the other deer.

I moved swiftly, cutting directly through the birch forest. The air was bone-chilling; but I liked the way it felt against my skin. There is something fresh and friendly about cold air. Suddenly, a gruesome, hoarse call lit the air around me, arresting me completely. I stood rooted to my spot, one hoof lifted in preparation for the next step. I waited with baited breath, hoping to hear the eerie sound once more. After a few moments, my patience was rewarded by another croak, and my skin crawled with sheer horror. Never before had I encountered such a raw, deathly sound. I lifted my head, testing the air carefully for any clue as to what sort of creature could possibly create such a terror in me.

Dear secret Santa!

I've never really done this before, so hopefully this letter will tell you a little more about me, and hopefully give you some ideas for the Secret Santa Project! I'm just going to write as much about me as I can, so hopefully you will not feel too nervous about making or getting me something I will like. But even so, please don't panic! I'm sure that whatever you think up will be absolutely wonderful, and I'm sure it will be something I will really love. C:

I really do love art of all types. If you are unable to mail gifts, I would certainly not mind getting art of any sort – even poetry, music, or literature would be nice, if visual art is not your forte. I have a few characters, if you are interested in drawing those; I will update this letter with a link to their profiles, later.

Some of my favorite animals include Tamanduas, Tigers, Magpies, and Thylacines. I am very interested in animal behavior and training, and I hope that one day I will have the opportunity to work with large cats in my profession as an animal behaviorist/zoological veterinarian.

I'm crazy about books of all sorts – I have enjoyed books on all sorts of subjects, from classic literature to a biography of Stalin's early life.

I adore Turquoise – both the color and the stone. I've always thought it would be amazing to own a small cleaned skull. I love interesting old-fashioned style masks, especially with feathers.

Of course, I am an art maniac, so anything art-related is always appreciated.
