This month, I'll be trying to have some screenie edits here and there. Makes things easier to read, I think. c:

3rd October 2010
I woke early this morning -- unusually so. I expected the forest to be quiet and empty, as it usually is during these hours.. I like it, just before the sun rises, when all is quiet and still.. It's calming.
I wandered for a long time, alone. Deer were stirring, and the sun was beginning to peek over the horizon. I could feel the warm rays on my back, and a brief spark of longing zipped through me as I remembered the days when I retained my sight... Sunrise and sunset had been my favourite time of day, and I could almost recall vividly the alluring spread of vibrant colour which stretched across the sky.
I wondered if sunrises still looked the same as I remembered them...
As I approached the pond, I could hear a stirring of deer. Cautiously, I approached. I recognized a friend, SS. The others were new to me, and I was too apprehensive to get close.. I waited from a distance, teetering on the edge between casual amiability and cold unsociability.
But, of course, SS would have none of that.
There are two types of friends in my life -- those who tolerate and accept my unsociable ways; and those who yank me out from within myself and drop me face-first into sociability. I'm eternally grateful for both types -- I think it's obvious which category SS invariably falls into.
I was swept in with the crowd, pulled through a few brisk introductions, and we were off -- bounding and frolicking around like fools.
I had the time of my life.
(PS. We met a fawn~ she was such a cutie, and such fun to be around. Not only that, but she helped SS get my set back when I accidentally lost it. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name. Anyone happen to recognize her?)
