Extra information
Verve is here to offer her crafting skills to the needy! This is an interaction blog, where your deer asks for Verve's service. She can paint faces, skull masks, antlers, anything. Her other speciality is beadwork, she makes necklaces and any trinket you can think of.
Depending on the difficulty of the task, Verve may ask something in return.
Anything requested will be drawn by me, your deer can give pointers of what they'd like!
You are in no way obliged to use the designs or put them into your deer their design. You are allowed to do with these, when made for you, as you wish, no permission needed.
In case you're curious, Verve's biography is located
here.
If you have questions, ask!
As the doe waited patiently
"I'll make sure to make it last for a long time. Thank you very very much Verve. I bet I look amazing."
Carry: She looked at the hat
She looked at the hat when his eyes motioned towards it. Ah, yeah, that could be a problem. ”Seed suggested me? That’s sweet of him.” The doe let out a chuckle, it was funny to hear others thought of her at things like this. She didn’t mind, the contrary! ”Sure, that can’t be too hard. Likely just a thread or rope to bind it under your chin. What is it, though?” She seemed to stretch her neck out to look at the hat curiously. It seemed different from the headgear she had ever seen. Heavy. Perhaps she could keep into the theme of the object.. Because he could request for something simple, but what was simple to Verve?
Heartless7:
”You do actually, I’m kinda pleased.” She grinned widely. The blue paint had stained her quite a bit as well, and her poor spider definitely needed a bath. But it was worth it. ”Alright, if you ever need anything else you’re welcome to come around. But good luck.” Verve seemed pleased.
"Very well, then... Oh, while
He said, having more or less reached the end of the whole discussion of her efforts for him... But she struck him as a stylish lady, so perhaps he could get a touch of advice on something.
"If one were to seek out feathers that'd look particularly nice on a red doe... What sort of feathers do you think they'd be?"
((I actually meant because you often do art of the character wearing it, I figure I'd much rather see art of Seed's new design, XD))
Ear twitched lightly, nodding
Chuckling, the silver-haired
"Oh, not really... I made a mistake with the shape of the head so I cannot finish it... It would be an unnecessary use of my pencils..." He said, though smiled down at the drawing. Sometimes he quite liked the unfinished look of some of his drawings; it reminded him that there was always room for improvement, always new heights to be scaled. And that nothing in this world is perfect...
Smiling serenely, he sighed quietly as he beheld the lines on the white page, as white as the moonlight reflected on the lake.
"Maybe... But I, for one, would rather be safe than sorry... I read in a book once, that if you burden your friends, soon you won't have any at all..." -Not that Esclave had ever had any friends in the first place.
Seed: She tilted her head at
She tilted her head at his next question, then pondered it for a moment. ”Hm. Could be many! But I still have some feathers left over from my headdress” She showed the large golden pheasant feathers by bowing her head down for him for a moment. ”Otherwise, raven feathers would be nice too. Something dark and blue, gives a nice contrast.” How cute, she figured those feathers weren’t going to be for himself.
(ah yes XD No problem, I’m kinda busy atm so it’ll be a while before I come to his gift)
Carry:
”A bowl?” It looked like her basket, surely, but the material was rather different. More like the clay she had seen her friends use to make pots with. ”Alright, well, can’t be too hard to get it to stay on your head.” She looked at the bowl, inspecting it. It didn’t have holes or handles at the side, that could be a problem.. She didn’t want to damage it. She’d have to find some other way, perhaps.
CW:
”Oh..” She seemed a little confused. A mistake? Nothing she could see. But alright, if that was what he thought. She tilted her head at his statement from the book. ”Really?” She frowned. ”But how does one burden their friends? Hm..” The idea seemed confusing to her. ”Aren’t friends there to help? Well, not with everything I guess, but if no one would ever tell of their burdens to me, I’d feel as if they didn’t really trust me that much at all.”
(Ack, sorry people, I've been really slow with pretty much EVERYTHING! XD I keep starting drawings and throwing them away. I need to work on storyboards for school and I'm neglecting everything. HURRRR. SO I'm sorry. For being slow)
This left Esclave silent for
He honestly hadn't thought about it that way before... To him, friends were such a rare and amazing thing that he was desperate to not push ANY of them away. He'd jump over the moon if it meant keeping a friend or sizzle in the sun if it pleased them.
He blinked and gave a small, confused frown.
"Really?... But wouldn't you be annoyed by the lesser problems of someone... S-someone foolish and, uh..." -Unworthy, lowly, petty, meek, undeserving... These and many more were all words he used to mentally describe himself daily. But he knew a lack of self-esteem was just as annoying as unwanted, petty problems and would not burden Verve with that either.
Instead, he chuckled apologetically.
"Ah, you must pardon me, you're probably right." He chuckled, although he was nowhere near to ever wanting to burden a friend. It was not his place...
"my views and opinions may be a little... Archaic. I have not socializes for some time..." -just around 700 years. 'Some time' was a gross understatement.
((That's cool.)) "Oh, I
"Oh, I see... I'll have to keep my eye out for things like that on my feather-hunts, then."
After he had starting feather-hunting with Sage, it sort of became something to do when he was alone and bored...And, well... He was sort of always on the lookout for something he thought might be a conversation piece, or make her particularly happy.
"Thank you very much for the advice."
Radish looked up at his
Chickenwhite: She looked at
She looked at him, a bit worried this time. "No..? I've never met anyone foolish that is also a friend of mine. If I find them foolish, they likely deserved that opinion from me. And then I guess they wouldn't be friends of mine, so they wouldn't tell me their burdens in the first place.." She had to think about her own logic there. Seemed alright enough.
"It's alright. Not saying your idea is wrong either, maybe all my friends are getting annoyed with me already." She snickered. "But I've never felt annoyed when someone told me what bothered them. Guess that's what I went by."
Seed:
"Well, you can have a few of these if you want." She offered him two of the golden pheasant feathers, red tips and golden speckles. She thought they were pretty. "You're welcome, good luck! I'll come find you when I finish my work." She hoped he'd like the idea too when she finished.
Carry:
"Well.." She still had the pensive expression on. "I wonder what I should attatch the thread on without damaging the bowl. I might need to make some very small holes in the sides to weave it through. Do you think that'd work? I don't want to damage it."
It took Esclave a small
Although he nearly gasped at her next sentence.
"Oh no, I'm sure they're not! How could anyone be annoyed with you?" He hurriedly said, afraid that he might be on the road to pushing her away... After all, he had just insulted her, right? Oh God, what if she took offence! What if she would never talk to him again?!
"I-I'm sorry for implying that!..." He nervously wrung his hands and started turning back into a deer, feeling uncomfortable and uneven in the given situation in his humanoid form.
Radish thought about the
Chickenwhite: "Implying?" She
"Implying?" She looked at him curiously, wondering why he seemed so worried now. It took her a bit of thought. "Oh! Pft, noo, no worries." She laughed, a cheerful expression on her face. "You didn't say anything wrong. You worry too much." Her gaze drifted towards the water, dropping a hoof in gently and watching the circles that emerged from it. A dragonfly soon landed on her leg. "It'll be too cold for them soon. The bugs that is.."[/b] She seemed to ramble randomly. "Ah but I don't mean to hold you up, we've been talking for quite some time now huh?" She smiled, turning her face back to Esclave. It was a little new for her, he was pretty much a stranger after all. But she felt like she had gotten to know someone, which was nice.
Carry:
She nodded. "Alright, I'll make sure to be gentle anyway though. But I think I got an idea." She nodded. A small hole would do it, surely.
------------------------------
Alright guys, on a completely different note, I'm going to put these on hold and finish the ones I have before accepting new ones. I've got a lot of things I'd like to do now, and even though I majorly enjoy doing these designs for others I've also felt slightly let-down. Not to blame anyone or anything, but it does kind of suck if you've worked hard on something and the person the work is for never responds. I guess real-life often gets in the way, and maybe I'm expected to run after people and post it on their biography's, but I find that a little silly. And it does kind of fill up my track list o_o' XD
So yeah, no more requests after these for a while, until I say it's okay again. You can always discuss things in private with me of course, I tend to be swayed easily. >_>"...
So yes, as said before but just to make sure: the ones on the list right now will be finished.
Hearing her words certainly
"Oh, no, not at all, I've thoroughly enjoyed our conversation! I find you charming company!" He said eagerly, bright, red eyes shining up at her in adoration and with such a welcoming warmth in them...
"A-although, if you're tired, I am sorry to have kept you up, ma cherie..." He chuckled apologetically, drawing a little back and smiling humbly.
He chuckles, but shakes his
"The feathers I'm looking for...I think they'd mean more to her if I put forth the effort of finding them."
He blushed conspicuously, though apparently not enough for him to notice. Seed was somewhat thick about things that caused himself unease. Like Luv.
"At least, I rather hope they would. But the advice itself is very useful to me...And, if your work schedule is light enough, I may see if there's something more stable you could do with them...Oh, that's far too forward. Well, anyway..."
The disadvantage to being inspiring to Seed is that he comes up with lots of little ideas. But he meant both relative to her ....And relative to Sage.
Chickenwhite: She did notice
She did notice the teeth, quite sharp they were. The only thing it really made her think if he ate meat too. Sharp teeth weren't very useful for leaves right? "I've enjoyed it too." She smiled back, his happiness having an effect on her too. "Oh no, I keep myself up really." A grin crept on her face as she seemed to lift her head up a little, playing with an item in her hooves. "I don't usually get this much time at night to work, but I think it may actually be done already." She watched the large tarantula put some dots and stripes on the helmet. "It's easier to work with an excisting form. I bended a raven mask from the forest, kind of nice you can get an endless supply of masks from tree fungus." She chuckled, it kept being an amusing thought. "It'll need to dry a bit." She held the mask up for him with a hoof, it had become some sort of helmet adapted to his deer face he usually had, holes for the antlers to click around them. "But I think it might fit on your human face too, it'd just have holes in the top.."
Seed:
She chuckled. "Ah that's very good! A not-lazy stag, actually putting effort in it. Your girl is lucky." She seemed to stiffen up immediatly after the words slipped her lips. Now she was prying! Bad! And who said it was a girl. She smiled in an embarassed fashion. A small couch, hoping he'd forgive her weird slip-up.
She nodded. "Yeah no worries. I like the work, keeps me busy. Speed will likely slow down in winter but yeah. I'll do my best." Winter worried her, a little. She wasn't build for the cold and neither were her bugs. "Ah but never hesitate to ask! I can always see what I can do."
Tracking this x3 This is very
Not even having noticed her
"Oh my Gods, it's... It's magnificent! I... I-hi'm at a loss for words, thank you! Thank you so much!" he giggled shortly as he inspected the mask in utter awe, sniffing it curiously, ears pointed directly towards it and tail wagging once in a while in excitement. Not only was this an extraordinary gift but aside from a few pencils from Heika now and again, this was the first gift he could remember ever receiving. He felt so moved by the gesture, his heart was beating like a jackhammer in his chest and he felt like laughing and crying at the same time. All he could do, though, was smile in immense gratitude at Verve.
"C'est... I-it's absolutely wonderful!..." He could hardly wait trying it on, and the temptation to nuzzle the tall doe affectionately was almost overwhelming, although he still kept his distance, though in a rather jittery fashion by now.

Fgsfds as is apparent from Esclave's reaction, I love it! Omg, thank you, it's so awesome! > w <
Well, he had mentioned a she
However, her words made his face go bright scarlet.
"No, she's not my -- !"
Came blurting out at top speed. Of course, that sort of denial never convinced anyone, and even Seed knew it.
"S-She's just a dear friend of mine; I don't really think she'd think of me that way...And anyway, I'm not sure I could really handle the risk of another heartbreak."
He shook his head a little sadly; he didn't seem offended at her assumption, though. Of course, he felt embaressed at having said so much to a relative stranger, and so tried for a while to look at something else before desperately trying to change the subject:
"The winter here can be quite mild...Even still, they seem to hit some people harder than others."
Seed had very little reaction to the forest's changes of seasons -- mainly because they didn't really change very much. Winter meaning routinely cold, wet, or snowy weather didn't really register to him, who had only lived in the evergreen woods.
SO so sorry about the
*Deep
Haaaburkfkeo.
So. Many many many many times an apology for Seed and Carry for taking so godforsaken long with these. There's no excuse. So I made them full-body haha, even if the actual things she made are not that big at all. So I hope you like them XDD
Otherwise, this blog is going to stay closed for a little while longer. Though if I forgot anyone, please tell me. Might've gotten lost in the comments. I may hesistantly do some designs, so if you have an interesting idea, do feel free to share. I love working on masks and skulls especially.
Retrack in case I haven't
Seed looked with surprise and
and then looked up at Verve, honest wonder and admiration in his eyes.
"This is...fantastic! I can't imagine how you managed it!"
((Eeeeee! *hug* Thank you!))
SoliloquyChryseis: Wouldn't
Wouldn't know! I have the memory of a tissuebox!
Seed:
She watched as Seed slipped the holder on, relieved it fit. She had to guess after all. She was quite satisfied with the result. "Ah, neither do I." She grinned. It had involved heavy stags and rocks, trying to get it to bend as she wanted it to. It was a weird material, but worked for this goal. She grinned at his expression when he put it on. "It adapts to your body heat after a while, so you don't really feel it anymore. I personally really like blueberries as filling." She pointed out, demonstrating the space behind the metal front. "Well I hope you enjoy it, and write lots of poems with it." Verve smiled broadly at the stag, her yellow eyes holding a little shimmer. No artist should be held back by the limitations of their body. She was glad to help him.
(Haha I hope you like it XD I should've drawn a front view pfftpft. Maybe later. *hug!*)
"I see...What a clever
He peered his head this way and that to better see her examination, his long neck letting him twist about quite a bit (he wondered: with the length of Verve's neck, how far around could she go, gradually turning?), so he saw what she meant.
"Oh, I love it. I'll have to work on getting some more bark sheets or wood to work with it; It's never been very convenient to do it by ink, so I've tended to prefer more antler-based carving work..."
He stopped, noticing he was just blathering. Still, the possibilities felt endless, leaving his head light and spinning, like a giddy child in a sunbeam.
"Thank you again, so much."
tracking, beautiful work!
Old, old, old blog.. But we
Sometime in the future I'll
Just got to see how it'd work/ figure out what to give your Verve in return.
Oh that'd be great! We enjoy
Up to you really! Can be whatever your character has found in-forest or outside of it. Doesn't matter I suppose for a skull they could've found one and brought it to Verve. Oh well. I suppose you get the idea XD No need to draw anything though, if anyone thought they had to. It'd be cute but we're fine with rp.
Oh yes, I must track this
I shall hope to come by with my The Watcher, perhaps they'd be curious enough to approach as it so does love the crafts that creatures creates, it would be so very interesting to interact with Verve.
I was originally thinking of
Track! ♥ Blah, too
Blah, too bad none of my active chars have a skull mask ;-;
Keeping an eye on this, though. Should`ve tracked a long time ago :3
And those two skull designs..../drools

Tyme: Aw thank you so much!
Aw thank you so much! We'd love to meet The Watcher!
Waning-Sun:
We're very curious! It's fine if they don't craft, Verve is mostly looking for materials herself! Not always easy to come by them!
Poppyflower:
Haha! Hopefully in the future we'll take on other masks too. At the moment I really enjoy the freedom skulls bring, but I've always loved the idea of doing custom long masks too.
Oh, materials you say? What
Interested in the ram
(( Hello there. c: I was
Waning-Sun: Everything and
Everything and anything! Skulls are hardest for her to come by, but really, any object does. Feathers, beads, amulets, keys, to Verve any object can be possibly used as a crafting option. She even has an ipod shuffle in her stash I still need to use >_>".. XD
Ebony3:
Take your time! Looks like you're the only one so far XD
Farelia:
Yes of course! I might need to know what type of animal the skull belonged to for when I draw it, but Verve can do that just fine!
I have a picture, actually.
It is indeed the skull of a unicorn. It belonged to someone very precious to her. He passed away upon being deceived by someone trusted, and she stole a piece of him to keep him with her for ever. She'd painted the teeth red, but everything on it is fading, and while the bead strings look alright in the picture, quite a few are actually broken and some beads have broken off or worn down. She'd be willing to give that little skull as a gift or trade to Verve. She doesn't know where it came from, but it is small and carnivorous looking. c:
Ah I've seen that picture!
Verve can certainly repair it, but we can also add to it. If Baroness would like a different paint job, of course. But that's up to you!
Of course you can add to it!
Ebony3: Argk I'm so sorry,
Argk I'm so sorry, something has come up and the ram skull is no longer available 8( I'll have more soon I promise! Was it the shape or the colors you liked best? I can try making something custom for you to make up for it!
Farelia:
Alright! Always good to know. Nothing in paticulair I would like, I suppose Verve would like to trade it for another item. Maybe a plain skull or a mask of some description. Or uh. Yeah. Haha! Something she can work with usually helps. Maybe a mask from the forest she could craft into a different looking one. But yeah. Materials I suppose? I mostly like to ask for other people to give something in return so I can get new ideas. Input from outside XD
How come your friend can't ask herself though? Not that I mind haha, but there's really not more to do but ask XD Can even google an image of an item instead of describing it or drawin!
Baroness could bring some
And I'm asking for my friend because I wanted to get her something as a gift for being so awesome. I sent her the link to this blog and she really liked the skull on the left. c: So I thought, if she didn't comment here herself, I'd surprise her with it, or something like it. Does Verve take small animal pelts and bones? My other deer Nadezdha got a dead raccoon from a good friend the other day. She's cleaned it up all nice, but has no idea what to do with it. xD She'd also be willing to give some of her headdress feathers, too. c: (They grow back quickly, and she molts them regularly)
That'd be awesome! For the
I understand XD I'm cool with that. But yeah, possibly makes the trade difficult? Perhaps your character could give it to theirs as a gift? I don't know haha. Verve takes anything really, again it's up to you! We're just looking for inspiration from outside of our own vision ^^
This is such a cool and
Oh that's perfectly alright!
Osmotious: We'd love that! Of
We'd love that! Of course up to you! But we definitly wouldn't mind
Ebony3:
Ah still sorry though XD I'll hopefully have more soon
how exactly does it work Mis?
It's quite open really. So
The roleplay interaction is interesting to me because you can set up some sort of trade. The character can give something in return for Verve's service, which can be anything from rocks, to feathers, a bone they found, whatever really. Verve got some amulets in trades, a basket, small skulls, a spider in amber, etc. Whatever you come up with really. So it's very free!
What you could do is write a rp post where your character approaches Verve and asks, and they can come to a deal. Or well, you just ask me! If you for example are working on a character design, and you like what I'm doing here, you're free to ask and give me some directions on what you'd like. Not going to draw out whole characters though, not at the moment at least. Just accessoires.
Did that help?
Oh yeah that did, and believe
-slides in a roleplay post
And as for the skull I requested for my friend; she plays the adopted son of one of my characters, and I was going to have his mother, Nadezdha, gift the skull to him on his birthday. c: }
--
The red doe stepped quietly amongst the forest scenery, her bi-hued eyes glancing around, slitted pupils contracting as she took in the sights around her. Was she even heading in the right direction? The skull atop her slender head seemed to make itself known suddenly, and she smiled a bit up at it, humming soft words as if the being it once belonged to could still hear her.
She was in search of someone she'd been told of who could fix her beloved mask; repair the item she held so dear to her heart and make it lustrous and handsome. She let her nose lead her in the direction of the scent she supposed was that of who could help; there was no one else around here, it seemed.
Once a figure came into sight, she paused, hindering her forward movements for a moment of thought. Baroness was not a very vocal creature, she found her voice to be awkward, despite others seeming to like it. The female drew closer, coming in before the other female and clearing her throat in an apologetic manner; worried she may be imposing. She bowed slightly, the beads, trinkets and miniature skill all clinking hollowly with her movements. As she dipped herself in a polite silent greeting, her long, nebula tipped black hair pooled on the ground, and her tail swished away flies trying to bite through her rather dense fur. When the red doe straightened, she spoke, her words coming out hoarsely due to an ill-used voice.
" Hello... I am looking for a deer named Verve...?" Her words were uncertain, and the infinite being hoped she was in the right place.
