Extra information
Verve is here to offer her crafting skills to the needy! This is an interaction blog, where your deer asks for Verve's service. She can paint faces, skull masks, antlers, anything. Her other speciality is beadwork, she makes necklaces and any trinket you can think of.
Depending on the difficulty of the task, Verve may ask something in return.
Anything requested will be drawn by me, your deer can give pointers of what they'd like!
You are in no way obliged to use the designs or put them into your deer their design. You are allowed to do with these, when made for you, as you wish, no permission needed.
In case you're curious, Verve's biography is located
here.
If you have questions, ask!
Oh it turned out so pretty,

Neah came quickly bounding forward toward the doe. The child came sliding to a halt before the taller. She gave a little rear, her tail wagging furiously as a wide smile decorated her muzzle. "Verve! Verve! Is pretty now? Is pretty yes?" Neah bounced a bit in excitement before her trying to catch a glimpse of her old bell. The albino fawn couldn't seem to find the jingling object and with a little huff she plopped down on her rump. Her quills gave a little displeased rattle as she looked at Verve. Where was her bell? Neah was sure Verve had done a beautiful job on it. A tilt of the head was given and a curious look in her eyes was found.
{Misako, possibly could I
"Thank you," she said
"Ah...is your father Gehirn?" Sorrel inquired with a smirk. Sonne had mentioned that he had a sister, and she had that height that seemed to run in the family. "I met Sonne a few days ago. He's mostly outside of the forest, I think. With wolves." That was the first thing she'd noticed about him upon meeting- he smelt like one of those predators. "I hope I can go with him next time he leaves..."
"I'll get you some anyway, to eat, along with something else. They're a little salty but I find them refreshing." She stood up slowly and shook herself off, preparing to leave. "How long do these things usually take? I can wait as long as necessary."
okay. this is officially one

No problem! It’s why I offered! XD Here you go!

Her ears spun around with the sound approaching her from behind. An enthusiastic fawn was yelling up to her, and she laughed. “Hello Neah! Yes, I just finished it too!” The doe lowered her head to take the now with beads decorated bell from a large tarantula, who held it up for her to grab. She held it in front of Neah. “Does this look good to you? It matches your eyes.” She had taken a good look at the fawn for sure. She had many useful colors.
Jinxyness:
No problem! Of course it’s not a bother ^^
Freyja:
”Ah yes, he is.” Verve seemed a bit surprised now. She knew her dad? ”You’d want to go outside of the forest with someone you just met who lives with wolves..” A small smirk grew on her face. This doe seemed as fond of risk as she was. ”Well who am I to judge, I left the forest all on my own to join the humans.” Her dad hadn’t agreed with that either. Come to think of it he never agreed with anything.
”Oh alright!” Salty but refreshing sounded interesting enough. Verve’s look became thoughtful as the doe asked how long it’d take her. ”Oh dear uhm.. Well, you sound like you’re in need of this ward, so I hope no longer than a week. Perhaps the gift to my uh, brother, would take me longer since I do have some other things to make who came earlier.. And it sounds less important, in a way.” Sorrel didn’t even seem to know when he’d be back, so she’d likely put him down the waiting list for a bit. Others had come first after all, but the doe seemed to suffer and that was important to Verve to solve. ”I’ll do my best. I’ll search you out when I finish.” A smile.
Clare:
Thanks, that’s an enormous compliment ♥. The positive feedback makes me really happy! I was worried people’d think it was a stupid idea XD
Banteren:
That’d be awesome! She’s very welcome to!
Mauvable:
Haha glad! Ideas are to be shared!
"Definitely your brother
"That sounds fine. I don't know when he'll be back...i'll return with my payment then, I suppose." With a final bow of her head, she turned and left the way she had come, shifting between the trees until out of sight.

Should I start another RP whenever you're ready OOCly? I probably should have asked how this works first haha.
Freyja: I update this blog
I update this blog as soon as it's ready, then you can tell me what needs changing and if you like it or not etc XD Then I either make another version or I just start a new roleplay with you.
Neah reared on her hind legs
I feel so bad but Can I possibly get that a little bit smaller. Maybe a 252 by 450 version or somewhere around there. Sorry just a tad big for her bio. -crawls into corner and dies-
"You're very welcome!"
I updated the link for you! If you use it now it's smaller. (Yay dropbox) Anyway, did you see you can click the transparent version in the tab too for a uh.. Well big version with the full necklace? And a grey background haha XD I saw you were using that tiny preview version on her bio now.. I had to cut the necklace off there so it'd all fit in.
Thanks :3

You’re welcome! If anything comes up, feel free to ask!
Jinxyness:
(Oh yes, I stole your idea of the fat speech text btw, rofl. I can’t find a good color for Verve yet argk.)
”Hi Camellia!” She didn’t seem too surprised by the approach. Many had lately and she had enjoyed the company. Well, as long as it was intelligent and spoke back. And didn’t sit on her in mass-numbers. But that was a different story. ”I’m Verve, can I help you with something?” There was something in Camellia’s eyes that seemed to betray she was here for a question. Verve returned the dip with her head, a subtile movement that brought in a whole flow of movement from her beads and the like.
OkamiLugia:
Awesoome! <3
Wingeddeer:
Sure! XD I’d love to see em come by!
Heartless7:
A white doe comes into her vision, long black hair flowing from her head. Verve can’t help but feel a small shudder down her spine, some of her soft neckhair turning to stand up in reply. She didn’t like that feeling much, she didn’t know this deer and had no reason to judge. Verve realized the other doe had a cloth before her eyes when she came closer. How could she see? It seemed her initial wariness quickly turned into curiousity. The tall dark doe got up respectfully to return the other’s bow. ”Hello.” She answers, a cheerful tone in her voice. Perhaps a bit much, perhaps trying to hide she had an initial wariness at all. ”Is there something I can do for you, Miss?” She decides to ask, perhaps it was easier to break the ice that way.
FishBiscuit:
A tracking device? IT BLEEPS AAH *throws in the water*
"Umm...I suppose so," she
"Perhaps, could you make me something?" she asked, ducking her head as shame at her boldness made a warm color spread on her cheeks.
Coming to stand before her
"hmm? Ah, well I heard you are a crafter of sorts but I also heard of-of your painted pelt..."
The white couldn't help but feel nervous. She didn't go around others much, talking wasn't her thing. Amunet scratched the ground lightly with her hoof her face turned down a little in embarrassment.
"I-I was only wondering if-if you painted others as well? I am always willing to make-make payment of any kind."
Looking back up at Verve the doe gave a slight tremble from embarrassment and nervousness. She loves how the does pelt looked, her face as well. The paints made her stand out. The white doe wasn't one to stand out but she felt too bland for her own good. The markings would always have a wonderful story to tell as well.
Jinxyness: Verve couldn’t
Verve couldn’t help a chuckle. ”I definitely could yes.” Her blush and sudden duck did not go unnoticed, either. Verve found the feeling familiar, that insecurity towards others. ”Did you have something in mind perhaps?” She continues her questions, perhaps the other doe would feel more comfortable talking about such things. In the meantime, she could not help but take a good look of the other doe. They had something kind, reserved about their being as well as their looks. Verve liked taking in impressions and wondering what kind of decorations would fit that.
Heartless7:
Verve’s face seemed to perk up at the mentioning of her painting, this doe was the first one to mention it! But she seemed as nervous as Verve. This was the meeting of club awkward. But above all, Verve wondered how this doe could see. Well she clearly could, she mentioned her paint after all. Would it be rude to ask? What would dad do? Sleep it off? A weird mix of expressions covered her face during this odd thought process. “Eh.” She had to answer!
“Yes I do! Are you interested in me painting your pelt?” Her grin grew wide again. The doe was like a blank canvas! “I’d love to, really. Noone has asked before, well I’ve painted my brothers face at some point..” A snort. “How’d you like me to go about it? I can use my hooves.” She held a hoof in front of her in demonstration. “More delicate work requires bugs.” She said it as if it was completely normal. “I don’t know how comfortable you are with bugs.. So yeah. And colors! I’ll need to know what paint to collect.” She looked at the other with a studyious face for a while. The blue lips seemed to be a nice starting point, perhaps, but she’d leave that to the other. “I use black, red and white a lot myself, but I can see how that could be different for you.”
The doe pondered on. “The paint isn’t permanent, by the way.. But if you’re careful it lasts a long time. And well, you can always redo it. Or get something new. That’s kind of why I like it not being permanent..” She wasn’t a tattoo-ist, unfortunately.
oh! why have I not seen this
~ C.S. Lewis
"Verve," she said after a
She looked up at Verve shyly as she spoke, waiting almost anxiously to see the reception of her question.
"Oh?" She looked at the other
She sighed, giving the spider on her neck a glance. "The thread is made from web. I sand down little stones in the pond, as well as using bugs that can lift small objects, like mantids. Ants help me weave the beads on the thread. Uhm." She usually made things up as she went along. Most bugs, except the spiders, didn't have much specific role. It felt a little awkward, explaining this. She felt like a freak. It seemed her mothers storytelling powers had translated extremely differently in her. She had never found the perfect explanation, perhaps she searched too hard and it was far more simple why she had this sort of control over insects.
Camellia couldn't deny her
"Usually I use stones to extract the dye from the berries, and I mix it carefully until I achieve the right hue, and consistency. It is delicate work." A gentle laugh as she recalls her process. "But the larger the canvas, the easier I find it to work."
She flicked her ears and gestured in a silent question. Shall we sit? Camellia folded herself into a laying position, tucking her limbs beneath her.
"It isn't anything to be embarassed about," she said, her voice almost inaudible, "I don't really have a preference, I'm sure whatever it is, it will be beautiful."
A crooked smile at the doe's
"Yes I'd really like to be painted. I don't mind your hooves, or bugs either."
She spoke quietly her voice cheerful though, her mood seeming to ride on the others. Amunet paused a the mention of colors, or the fact that it wasn't permanant. She didn't mind that. As for the color choices she had no idea as to what she wanted. She would much rather have the other doe choose.
"I don't know what colors I would want really. I would much rather you decide and do what you like. I am willing to do whatever."
The white doe kept her crooked smile on her lips, and gave a twitch of her long tail. She was looking forward to being painted on.
Jinxyness: ”Really? Oh,
”Really? Oh, hadn’t thought of that yet, smart.” Verve loved to paint, after all. “Why do you paint on the ground?” She asked, hoping it wasn’t too blunt a question. Verve painted deer, faces, pelts, skulls. But the ground was a new idea to her, it made her a little puzzled. ”Yes, I agree though, the larger a canvas the easier. But if it’s smaller it works if you have the proper tools..” In her case, bugs.
The tall doe joined Camellia in sitting down, listening to her curiously. ”Not a lot are very fond of bugs. They’re often crushed or tossed aside, you see. Especially does can be a little bit frightened of them..” Something she had never experienced, but she had seen it in others their eyes. ”You mean you’d like me to just make anything?” She wasn’t sure if she understood what Camellia meaned with her last notion. If it had something to do with the previous subject or not.
Heartless7:
”Great! Your face too?” Had she had a hand to slap in front of her mouth, she would’ve done it now. Was she even able of painting her face with that cloth on it? Perhaps the cloth was unremoveable! What did she say! Perhaps she offended the other now. ”Sorry, I eh. So what is the cloth for, if you don’t mind me asking..” There, blunt and forward. Perhaps it was decorative. Perhaps it was to protect her eyes. Perhaps she’d like something new! Verve had fabric! Not a lot, she tended to use it for smaller projects. She didn’t make, let’s say, dresses for deer. That’d be taking it a bit far she thought.
”Alright, can do. Is there anything though you’d like me to represent..? A story, perhaps, or something important to you.” Verve painted herself according to her mood, mainly, though aesthetics had started to play a bigger role.
(Sorry, I'm a bit slow XD I'm so tired after work! But I'll keep this up I promise!)
"I would prefer something I
She knew Verve would do a wonderful job, Cam prefered that the other doe choose colors and such that would look right.
"I don't mind bugs, you know."
As she said this she scanned the face of the other to try to read her reaction.
Amunet gave a little giggle
"this? Well my blind fold is too keep everyone from seeing my eyes. They don't like... how they look. But if you don't mind, I would really like you to paint my face as well."
reaching up with one leg as she sat back on her rump the doe removed the blind fold rather easily. Eyes closed at first she rose her head to look at Verve before opening her eyes. Florescent green eyes looked at the doe warily. The brightness and strange color tended to freak out the other deer as they called them 'unnatural'. It was true though, the doe herself was unnatural. Amunet had not been born but created.
"There isn't much important to me, and I have no stories to tell. I am your blank canvas."
Sliding the blind fold back on the doe gave a little sigh.
Jinxyness: She looks at the
She looks at the doe again. Hm. I can think about it, surely. Will keep it in mind. What about something for your head?” She looked at her brown hair. “I could make a braid with beads..” She mused out loud. Verve lacked hair to do so herself. Well, she was covered in thin, black fur but didn’t have the long thuft of hair so many seemed to have. She didn’t mind. It’d itch, she thought. ”You don’t?” She seemed a little surprised, but not so much. ”Great! I guess you’d.. Sort of have to. I would be using them anyway..” She chuckled.
Heartless7:
They don’t like how her eyes look? Why? Verve watched intently as she removed the fold, revealing two beautiful green eyes. Verve seemed flabbergasted for a moment, but collected herself quickly. ”They’re not that odd, right? It seems a shame to hide them.” Of course it was the others decision.. ”They remind me of emeralds. A very meaningful stone actually. I hope you’re not ashamed of your eyes atleast.” Verve seemed more surprised at the blindfold being there than the reason for it. ”Blank canvas huh? That’s always fun. I’ll do my best.” She answered as a couple of locust came by, dragging a linnen cloth folded in a bag. Slowly the doe was bringing her painting goods over, colored dust she’d mix with water. The bags had shrunk in size and soon she’d have to find new methods for collecting these.
(I will likely make a design first before responding again Heartless <3 Then she can IC-ly paint Amunet! XD)
"That sounds wonderful!" The
"Verve...I really appreciate you doing this for me. We should get together sometime to talk some more about art, it's nice to have someone to talk to about these things; not everyone is interested in it." Camellia cast the doe a grateful glance.
Ooh, pretty! This will be fun
.
That is stunning! I love it
Thank you so much!
Would you like me to wait until you're finished with Sonne's and others before RPing?
Jinxyness: The doe nodded.
The doe nodded. ”Yeah, why not? Not many make art, I guess, but I think a lot are interested.” Or well, so had she been experiencing it. She hoped she wouldn’t disappoint anyone.
WonderfullySarcastic:
Thank you! ^^
Feyja:
Glad you like it! XD The ward isn’t made up, it’s an actual voodoo amulet. It popped up several times during my research so I decided to use it. And that could be! That’s all up to you! It’s supposed to protect her, so who knows what it can do!
Hmm, up to you I guess! I’m likely going to design Kate’s now before going back to Sonne, Verve just thought Sorrel was in need so wanted to finish it quicker
Starling approached through
The doe's fur, once bright and vibrant with colour, but now dull and faded. She didn't seem to be as beautiful as she once was. She had always thought to herself, how on earth she could make herself look prettier. Perhaps some feathers, she had seen them around before. But when she walked by and caught a glance of a skull, stashed next to this stranger, she couldn't help but wander over.
"Hello." She spoke softly. She didn't know what to expect. "That skull, next to you... It is oh so beautiful. Can I ask, did you make it?" she tilted her head slightly, eagerly awaiting an answer.
Verve could ponder on her
"Oh, hello! I'm sorry, you caught me by suprise." The does expression quickly went back to her polite smile. This was a new face. Verve looked at the skull as Starling asked if she made it, almost as if she had to remember what the doe meant. "Yes, I just finished it too! Took me quite some time." She chuckled, her eyes betraying just how much time it took her. She likely hadn't closed them in a few days. Nothing unusual, she got very worked up when crafting. She was going to give this one away, she knew that. But to who?
"Do you like it?" Verve's eyes now held the same eagerness as Starling. Yes she did like compliments. "I've never made a skull like this before, I'm afraid I've done it wrong. I see so many deer with skulls on their faces but they're often quite dull." She hoped she had made something special. Or had she done something evil, according to skull-world?
Starling smiled, she can grow
"May I take a closer look?" She lent forward a little, trying to see the intricate details on the mask.
oh track! I really like the
I really like the design of all jewelry!
I think in future i will order something from Verve, she requires something in return?
Starling: "Really?" The grin
"Really?" The grin on Verve's face seemed to grow quite a bit. "That's really nice to hear! And of course you can take a closer look." She shoo'ed a large locust off of an antler before she gently shoved the skull forwards to Starling. "I had to break off some teeth to make sure someone could still see through it.. Could be difficult with the dreamcatcher in the eyesockets, heh." Beauty was more important than things being practical were, to Verve at least. "I'm not going to keep this one though, I am looking for a different type of skull.. But it was good practice surely." Verve kept smiling brightly.
Moon_Blaggy:
Hey! You're welcome to come to her for a request with your deer She doesn't always ask something back, no, perhaps if your deer has something interesting for her, like a feather! Otherwise she doesn't charge a thing.
A young buck pushed slowly
"Lady, Verve ... is it?" a puff of mist from Blue's nostrils turned to vapor.
The buck rested his muscles and lowered his head in respect, soon meeting Verve's gaze again. Not coldly but with curiosity.
"I was wondering if, if you might have something for me, I heard your skills are breathtaking; maybe, a necklace- dark, black, that suits me?" he was eager to hear the doe's response.
// Sorry if this has mistakes, I'm so tired. DX
I could that squirrel skull off your hands if you're too busy with other requests, but I would love something for Blue's face/neck. C:
I hope I did everything right! I can do writing and some very bad art in return, or if Verve wans something made then I can surely do that. <3
In such cases i can start
*ran after my frightened doe*
She flinched at the locust as
Then her ears perked up. "You're not keeping it?" Her eyes widened a little, though she tried to contain her excitement. "Would you consider giving it away to a stranger?" She grew silent for a moment. "Me..?" Before she could answer, Starling hesitated. "I-.. I can give you something back, if that's what you want. Anything. I will try to find something anyway... This skull must be worth a lot."
Wire: The tall black doe had
The tall black doe had been dozing off slightly. Her long neck bend forwards a little, beads dangling in the wind. Her eyes opened adruptly at the sound of her name. ”Cricketlegs!” She shouted. The most awkward expression crossed her face when she noticed Blue looking at her. It sound changed into a large, awkward grin combined with a rather red flush over her face. ”Hehe, sorry.. Eh, just Verve is alright, what’s your name?” She was slowly calming down again, the red blush fading and her expression going back to curiousity. She was glad there was nothing behind her that she could’ve hit her head on. When he mentioned her skills were breathtaking, her expression turned rather shy. ”Well, I guess that’s up for judgement huh.. I just really like to make things.” Finally her yellow orbs crossed with his. ”I wouldn’t mind making something for you. Something dark huh?” She eyed the stag. Plenty of colors to work with. This had to be a manly necklace of course, that was going to be interesting. “I will see what I can do. Do you have a preference for anything? Or a certain like?” Maybe he liked birds, or flowers, maybe a fruit.. There were many options.
------------------
Hey no worries, I see no mistakes! XD It will be a while before the other requests will be done, though tomorrow is my last day at work and then I am free a lot! So there will be speed to add to this. But if you’d like the squirrelnecklace, sure! I don’t ask art or anything in return, if a deer wants to give something in return she’s always happy with things to craft with
Moon_Blaggy:
Hahah oh no! Run Rachel run! XD
She could make a necklace with one of her peacock feathers?
Starling:
”There’s one in each eye sockets, I couldn’t leave them empty.. Pretty symbolic, I guess. They’re usually to keep bad dreams away, catch them as it were. So I thought the wearer would be protected from nightmares quite directly.” There were a lot of reasons behind what she made.
Verve curiously watched the array in expressions on Starlings face as she said she was going to give it away. Giving it to her? Verve seemed to ponder it for a moment, tapping her lip with her hoof. ”Well admittedly it was a lot of work.” She better not tell it was on a deer just a week ago. ”But it’s not expensive. I don’t mind giving it to you.” Yeah. This doe seemed enthusiastic. And why not? It’d look good on her. ”Do you want me to alter anything for you? A lot can still be changed.” She looked at the skull and then at Starling. It had been made for a human head, perhaps it’d need some adaption to fit. But it wouldb’t be much, she was sure. ”But if you’d like to give me anything in return.. Anything I can craft with is good. Like uhm.. Small skulls from animals, or stones perhaps, maybe something else.. I don’t know. But you don’t have to.” Verve smiled. This time not awkwardly, or uncomfortable. She seemed genuinely happy to give it to a doe who really seemed to like it.
if Verve need feathers, just
If the truth, I do not even know who of my characters will ask jewelry from Verve... Rachel or Kaya... o_____o
Her ears perked up a lot
The doe thought to herself, becoming very giddy when she heard things could still be adjusted. She didn't want to change it too much, it was so precious. But there was one thing that would make it amazingly better, to suit her perfectly. "I really like those antlers, you see, but they look really heavy, and I don't want to come across too masculine... If you see what I mean." She smiled, hoping she hadn't somehow insulted the stranger by asking her to remove a part of the skull.
"At first, I was thinking I could carry it around my neck sometimes. But I think I would wear this all the time! It's just so pretty!" She repeated herself many times, expressing just how much she adored the mask.
"However, is it possible at all you could cut down the antlers? Break them off somehow? I mean, not all of it. I would still like to have them there, but reduced in size so that I can carry it." She wasn't exactly a very strong girl. "Also, so that it's easier for me to wear, maybe you could tie some string to the sides of the skull so I could tie it around my head? That way it won't fall off as easily when I wear it..." She was very excited, and very thankful. She thought of the perfect gift in return.
"I do have something very rare, surely very rare indeed. I have a few of them, actually, which is why I have one or two to spare. They are red owl feathers, from a past.. friend." She smiled. "He was an owl, you see. And he had red feathers scattered along his coat. I think you will like them!"
Starling hadn't ever given anyone these feathers before, she had always kept them to herself.
"Of course, I will need to go fetch them." She stashed them in a secret place in the forest. "I will go now, and return soon. If you don't like them, then it's okay. I can find you something else!" She bounced around gleefully and turned to trot away, but then paused again. "By the way, my name's Starling.. What's yours?" Her ears perked up to hear the stranger reply with her own name, before leaving to find the feathers.
(If you're curious, the feathers look like this!)
Edit: Sorry, Starling's speech colour isn't exactly easy to see here. XD
Moon_Blaggy: No hurry!
No hurry! Perhaps Rachel already looks decorated enough with her many feathers? It’s up to you! I’m sure Verve will pick up some feathers when she is molting, haha.
Starling:
Starling’s excitement seemed to make the tall doe blush slightly. When she mentioned the antlers, Verve turned to look at them too. They were rather big. She had toned them down already, removing tines to come to this shape. ”They could be more feminine yes.. I didn’t have a gender in mind when making this. You bring up some good points! I think it may be rather large on you too, so I’ll need to make sure it fits you. Get it strapped too. The antlers can be made smaller, easy.” She smiled. Yeah, that was alright. She expected there was more work to be done before it could be worn by anyone. She listened attentively to Starlings’ story about the red feather. ”Sounds interesting.. I can always use feathers.” She did think about using feathers in the work she was going to do for another deer. A red feather could be perfect.
Verve nodded. ”No problem! I’ll need some time to finish this too, so don’t hurry too much! My name’s Verve.” The tall doe seemed rather cheered up by Starlings enthusiasm. It was almost contagious.
--------
Ooh I remember those yes! I'm sure Verve will have good use for one XD
"Oh, yes yes, of course. Do
She retreated to the spot where the feathers were hidden, dug into the ground and secured by a little rock. She removed it, dug down, and grabbed two of the red feathers. She dug it back up again and gently placed the rock back on top. Then she left.
When she returned to Verve, she carried the two feathers in her mouth. She watched as she walked over, the doe was clearly busy at work. Starling tried to be quiet and gently lowered her head to drop the feathers in front of her. She closed her eyes and smiled, then took a few steps back to sit nearby, hoping the doe wouldn't her watching for a while.
A small doe came to Verve,
A small, colourful buck had
