Fynn's First Day

Fynn awoke near De Drinkplaats where the meadow of blue flowers marched across the terrain. He was confused, he'd never been in the forest until today. His mother doe told stories about it and mentioned how beautiful and peaceful it was, she was right. How he'd found his way to it is a mystery that nobody could answer. He remembers getting split from his group, but nothing more. His mother doe was nowhere to be found. Did the group not find themselves in the same forest?

Questioning himself, he went into a trot and burst right into the mushroom circle that surrounds De Drinkplaats, a puff of smoke made him sneeze. He wondered what he did to make the puff of smoke appear and figured out nothing. By now he was exhausted and thirsty so when he turned around and saw the water making it's way down the fountain, he galloped over and drank. It took him a while to realize what had happened, but when he bent over to take another gulp full of water, there was something wrong with his reflection. Only a squirrel had shown. He then realized that he had been transformed and stormed out of the mushroom circle in shock, only to be transformed back into a fawn. That gave him a fright, so he decided to stay away from the fountain.

Nearby, he heard the sound of hooves on the ground and he heard the call of another fawn. Could that be his group coming to look for him? He galloped in the direction of the call and when he got there, he realized that it was only another fawn dancing with a stag. For comfort, he decided to ask if he could join and they didn't mind. Together they danced until Fynn realized that he had to figure out where his group was and how he got to this forest. He said his farewells and headed off.

He found himself at a pond with weeping willows around it. A river was it's source, he thought, until he saw that on the other side of a stone bridge was an idol, one that was crying out the water of the pond.

Xair Dairy, A father?

Xair was up to playing his games again when he met another new deer, a older buck that took to him in a protective way. Playing games like mask tag and pelt switch, all the while keeping other stags at bay. Xiar was unsure about how to look at this, but in the end he grew to like the male and nuzzled into his pelt for a gental nap.

I took some really cute screenshots but for some reason they didn't save in the screenshot folder.... D: and there was one of them mimicing one another with Xair some what between his front legs. XD it was SOOOOOO CUTE! Im going to have to dig around to see where that went...

Introduction

Hello, you can call me Brittany, but be aware that in-forest I'll be playing as my fawn, Fynn, and will continue to play him through his adulthood. I don't have a biography for Fynn yet, but I'll be making one which is also why I bring up that if I choose to make him a bit grumpy and roleplay in-forest like that, don't take it personally. I'm sure that you are all quite aware of that, though.

Hm, now that I've read through that first paragraph, it sounds a bit rude to me and I don't like to be rude to others. I should mention some things that I like and dislike, yes? Let's see, I'm studying the German language at the moment so that one day I'll be able to speak it like a natural-born citizen of Germany. I'm also hoping to get a job as a game designer when I get out of school and that's what I'm going to go to college for. As for what college I will attend, I'm not sure, but I have plenty of time to decide since I'm only a Sophmore. I'm focusing on a college that recently sent a speaker to my art class whom shared some great pieces of media arts with the class. This college is known as Ai (The Art Institutes).

I dislike people who are rude, snobby, and think that they're better than everyone else. It doesn't take much to figure out why I dislike people like that, but to make things simple, I don't like them because nobody likes to be trampled and told that they're not worth anything. I also dislike math because when it comes to that subject, I'm horrible at it and no matter how hard I try, I just can't get it right. I hate being left out, but I do understand that I won't be able to participate in everything.

Well, I should probably cut this short since I've written so much already and might end up writing a whole story on myself for you to read. I apologize for the long post, I just get a bit carried away when I tell people about myself. There's so much that I can tell them!

Seed's Poetry Corner: The Story of the Ruins

I was sitting with a group at the ruins when I wrote this, and began to wonder what the story of that place would be...

The Story of the Ruins

I want to write a story of these stones:
of the rooms they divided up, the walls they erected
the cells seperate from the world, where people
dreamed and slept, where the lonliness
of night hit them like a sudden bolt,
so strong I feel it like a phantom now --
of being in a room only big enough
for one bedding, one life,
surrounded by impassive stones,
all walled up in their own world.

I want to write a story
that their bodies carried them
over the threshhold, past the walls;
that they saw in one another the eyes
stained by tears like theirs, that they saw
their own faces in each-other, that
the thundering of their joy
sent the walls crumbling
and swallowed by the ground.

I want to write a story like that, where
today poppies grow
in the cracks of those forgotten walls.
