The Diary of Seed, 11-20-11

[=#006400]
I arrived sometime before the birth... And I will be frank, there's much about this moment I don't understand. When Walter showed up, I wasn't sure exactly what to do. Walter hasn't always behaved well about fawns... Nor has he always behaved well about Illrose, which is what made this situation. But when he came up, she nodded -- I guess they decided that whatever had happened, the fawn was theirs to help protect.

Or something. I'm not sure I understand all of this. Either way, he clearly did his best to protect her, only letting deer near when Illrose gives them the nod. Like a bouncer. Sitting there, waiting, I felt the anticipation so thick in the air that it seemed a tastable smell, like all air in the world of snakes.

I even think Walter was a little anxious, which may rank as almost cute. But then, he was also swearing blue streaks at passer-byes who were just running on the side of the twin god's hills. He chased off a few others more immediately, and tried to shoo a few folks... But I was actually impressed. I guess Walter's felt that if he's going to have a biological family, he's going to need to pull it together for them, even just a little. And that's touching, in its own way.

Those of us watching, holding our vigil in prepartion of the newborn's life, seemed to gather a decent distance away. I may have been the closest seating observer. I guess I'm just not very threatening, ha-ha. I also got a chance to say Hi to Rut and Saosin, whom I haven't seen in a while. I'm sorry that it had to be while there was something going on. I just... I don't like choosing between friends, but sometimes it's not about who I like better, or anything.
Please don't think I'm insulting you, is what I'm trying to say. But Walter was there for one of the most important days of my life, and sometimes I've got to try and repay my favors. Please, do, seek me out for a rain check.

The birth of the fawn was very quiet.

Newb alert ;3

Well haaaaai everybody I'm new here and I just hope that I may be able to make some new friends. ^^' I've actually already downloaded the game like... Was it yesterday or the day before? Well whatever... But the deer are a little creepy with the human faces... But other than that the game is ADORABLE!!! Sticking out tongue Did Tale of Tales get the concept of the deer from Princess Mononoke? Just wonderin' since the deer from the movie and this game are very similar.

Why I am so stupid?

So, I've read all those entries about writing in CSS, but I still don't understand it. Can someone tell me how to do a layout like this? With these pretty borders, background and without sidebar?

Does anyone here actually have a raptor/dinosaur character?

Just to check, because I've recently made a raptor character and I don't want anyone to think I'm ripping theirs off. D:

That, and then I know who he can stalk. |:

[=timesnewroman][center]DEAD MAN ON A HILL

INSPIRATIONS

"Simon was crying out something about a dead man on a hill." - William Golding's 'Lord of the Flies'

'dead man on a hill'

BASIC INFORMATION

[=10]The character's name is Nirvana. It seems to have various meanings; a blowing out, extinction, deep silence. In Buddhism, 'nirvana' is the end to the cycle of rebirth. I did not choose this name beforehand; it merely leapt into my head and seemed to fit.
Nirvana's name was suggested at birth by his uncle, rather than his parents. The reason for this is that his uncle did possess a human form, unlike his brother and sister-in-law; he was interested in Buddhism, having discovered it recently, and so suggested the end to all ends as a name, oddly.

The character is male. I have always had difficulty creating female characters that are not overly similar to eachother, and I do tend to lose interest in them very quickly, with a few exceptions. Male characters are far more interesting to me, and I enjoy playing them and particularly writing them.
Nirvana's gender was irrelevant to his parents. Although his mother had quietly wished for a daughter, it made no difference to her after her son was born and she treated him just as she would have had he been female. However, much later when she gave birth to a doe, Nirvana would start to have strong feelings of inadequacy, feeling that his parents loved their daughter more than him. Not only was she female, but she was the youngest and therefore Nirvana felt she was always being doted upon.

The character previously died as a b]young adult[/b] in the Forest; the equivalent, perhaps, of being in a human's early twenties.

As she licked Clume's cheek, she began to get dragged by something large, almost like a giant deer. She struggled to reach her son, but she vanished into thin air, leaving tears fall through the trees of the Endless Forest...

To this day, Clume lays down in the Old Oak Tree every night, waiting for his mother to come back.
