Dag's full name is pronounced '
I-or-dag-nyre', and was given the title
'The Fortress' in recognition of the guardianship he gives to and inspires in others. He is a symbol of unyielding strength of will and exhibits an impenetrable, one-pointed focus to rise above any situation. The emblem of victory - the Peregrine Falcon - still remains with him from his first and very old title of 'Wings of Peregrine'.
The Fortress }
Voice - Deep bass; an equal balance of gentility and authoritative power associated with a voice of moral substance and leadership. Feral vocalizations are rare from him, though he is known to produce brontidal rumbles and has an extraordinarily low, growling bellow.
Scent - His scent is very gustatory - likened to the smoulder of a warm, damp bonfire in the middle of open fields; burnt soil of old forests long gone.
Build - Based on an old-world ice giant
Eucladoceros species; the first species of deer genus to have highly evolved antlers yet is a primitive mass of strong bone and muscle. His body type is a visually solid domination with a dense muscular structure most noticeable around his barrel-chest and shoulders, reinforcing the relatively short, strong neck that bares the weight of a heavy square skull - resembling more bull than deer - and its gargantuan artillery; both of which being the most prominent indication of his skeletal bulk. Being top-heavy, his posture is almost restricted to one position when still. A long body means legs are stationed far apart to accommodate and spread the weight, and his head is always held high in balance giving him a kingly air, which is also reflected in his fluid and powerful gait. At full speed, there is very little that can stop his bulldozer momentum.
Antlers - Fortress by design. Supernumerary, elongated branched-antlers where the beam has grown outward behind him, tines growing upward; his outer primary tines are the largest and grow into long forward-facing pincers. There are 12 tines per pedical and are split into four sets, all of which together are specifically designed to interlock with any antler type. Central clusters suited to single beam pronged deer, outer and brow tines designed for the larger supernumerary or palmated antlers such as Irish Elk. They are incredibly thick, astonishingly heavy, and an impenetrable defense that cannot be breached.
Visual - His coat is made up of dense, varying shades of grey that give him an overall arsenic colouration, but his mane and face are the most striking; dirty white for the most part with a carnelian-red pattern draped around the contours of his beady-eyed, frill-cheeked face. The white of his mane continues only half-way under his stomach, and ends in a point with a very thin separating line of charcoal.
There is also an enormous patch-scar that tears through the left side of his neck which is coupled with the nick in his ear on the same side. This was given to him by the Spring Wolf in 2010*.
Conqueror - Being the placid giant he is, Dag never lowers his antlers without reason; rarely has his combat been seen within the peaceful confines of the forest. However, heed the warning of his scar. Events leading up to his present existence shed further light on this war-hardened battler. There is something prehistoric and almost predatory about his combat - the misfortune of colliding with such a monolith is simply an all-sensory deluge.

Iaurdagnire's story has become that of Endless Forest legend, starting in 2009 and ending in 2013. His story involves the Forest, the Gods, and the spiritual embodiment of the Seasons whom he served with perpetual lives as a God-given duty. Dag wanted to escape, and continually fought for a life and death that was his to dictate; to cease to be a higher power's fuel for intellectual evolution. But in learning about his place in the world and a way to put an end to his duties, he became even more lost. Ultimately, Dag's story is an exploration of purpose and morality in all forms, and almost entirely community driven. The community has been involved in each section in some way, and these are referred to as "Season Events" by those who have participated; the events were designed for everyone to enjoy, regardless of the story.

Core }
Ravenflight - The Queen His love and greatest treasure; indescribably bound to her like no other. Their history had long ran parallel, and although their paths crossed only rarely in bygone years, they were connected by a deep empathy for their respective trials and desire for freedom. Behind closed doors they each played a part in helping each other fulfill a purpose in order to escape, and then found themselves lost without it. When Dag returned to the forest, Ravenflight tried to help him re-adjust through her understanding of what it is like to feel truly detached from the world around you. As they spent more time together, Dag increasingly began to dote on her and fell very deeply in love. Captivated by her in every way. Ravenflight has given him a new purpose, and Dag is utterly devoted to her continued happiness. Adores and is enchanted by everything she is.
Cry - The Ace Guardian; a source of security; life indebted to. Dag has known Cry for a long time, and upon his return was healed by him (
see 'War Drum' Act V). Displays an affectionate "big brother" attitude towards the small white stag when around him.
Ephiré - The Jack An unspoken natural affinity; indebted to. The two giants have much in common with the way they cope with the world around them, and it is this understanding that lead Ephiré to become the catalyst in Dag's journey (
see 'Catalyst' story arc Act I-III). Has a profound trust in him and admires him greatly. He is also the only deer within the forest to have witnessed the full brunt of Dag's combat.
Virgil/The Red - Part of the Fortress' strong foundations. One of his oldest friends of a different world to his own, wild and unrestricted. At the time of his trials, Dag thought of Virgil's existence as "real", moreso than his own and one he wanted to achieve. Events between then and now strongly effected Dag, but their friendship remains strong and has been rebuilt. [to be re-written]
Track 8D
A smell, a very familiar
The little, white buck limped towards it as fast as he could, afraid to lose it. Uh, this broken foreleg was bothersome...
But he finally arrived to the place it seemed to come from, and then he saw him, playing with others.
Mh, it was really him? Crybaby approached and stood still next to a small tree, leaning against it and catching his breath. A little smile formed on his lips... but he wasn't sure if he should approach, remembering the last things Dag had told him, fierce words... but not mean ones. Though he now wasn't sure if the other one still wished his company.
But then the other stag noticed him and quickly approached, making his heart almost jump.
"Dag..." he limped a bit more towards him, trying to bow as good as he could before they sniffed each other.
His tail wagged, he secretly was so happy to see his friend again that he could jump around... which unfortunately wasn't possible now.
((Couldn't resist x'3))

Another question!
I'm re-doing the information part, and the way I did it before, was that okay to read or is it better to do short informational bits like most bios. You know, Name: ____ Sex:

Little notice:
I'm taking a hiatus from playing the game and using msn during the week days for the time being, until my busy routine improves. The game and msn I've worked out take a minimum of 2 hours of my time a night, which I don't have =D
I'll be lurking around here to finish what I started though. Contact me here if you need to, otherwise see you on weekends.

May I help you? Oh, do
Oh, do pardon my humor, sir. I feel restless after days up here.
"It has been getting cooler." The smaller stag observed, tilting his head back slowly to exhale into the cold air, thus summoning a warm mist that disintegrated as quick as it appeared.
(Hope you don't mind..?)
An indistinct low sound came
"I shan't be surprised if I wake up covered in snow one morning soon."
He smirked at Virgil's little cloud of air and decided to roar, the mist rushing out in great columns like steam from an old freight train. He did enjoy one-upping him; it was a game without consequence.
His pointed ears erected, and
Virgil chuckled a moment after silence was restored, and with a humored tone to his voice, replied: "You are a show off, my friend, you should be ashamed."
"Hm-hm, there are far worse
He raised an accusatory brow at Virgil's missing antler. Virgil and Saosin were the most terrific pair of show-offs he knew.
"Anyhow," Dag chuckled, "How is that hip of yours."
(In my head I can picture a
"Oh really now?" Virgil replied rhetorically; although naturally subtle, he returned Iaurdagnire's raised expression with a smirk of his own.
Back to seriousness however, in response to the question Virgil shifted slightly. Much as he enjoyed attention and fuss, he didn't like talking about his weaknesses. "The hip is recovering fine sir. If it were not for my rib, running would sooner be easy done again.
"How are you?"
(Ohay, btw, you invaded my dream last night. Unfortunately it turned into a nightmare. 8D)
(Did I turn into an
"Good to hear; I hope you're back to normal soon."
Dag took a deep breath, enjoying the crisp cold air filling his lungs. He couldn't wait for frost to set in - in the mornings, he would roll over in it to freshen himself. Without anyone watching, of course.
"I'm fine, feeling lethargic as this cold sets in though. I would hibernate if I could."
He smiled, aware that he had said the exact same thing last year.
(Unfortunately no, instead,
It feels weird when you wake up just after dying in a dream.)
"Me too, it would be a joy to run with you again soon."
The Hart said nothing in response to Dag's last statement, he did however nod to acknowledge that he was indeed listening before turning to look ahead.
By now, the sun was out of sight, within a short period of time it will be dark again, the forest will endure one of many cold starry nights tonight.
"Sir, when the sun is long gone, would you like to join me in my nightly scout tonight?"
Im glad to see another M83
'Flight (hope you don't mind
Vee - looool.
"I'd love to." Dag replied without hesitation - he liked wondering around in the dark. Being what he was, he didn't have anything to fear, so it was understandable that he sometimes looked like a great oaf lumbering through the forest making noise, or not hearing something he should pay attention to. But Virgil noticed everything, and Dag found his over-active ears quite amusing.
In the dimming light, the red
These scouts are very routine for the Hart, every night he would follow the trails and paths(some of which made by himself), always on the watch for something different to spark his interest. Occasionally the night forest would present some of its treasures, and Virgil would be one of the few to witness them.
If they were very lucky, considering Iaurdagnire's size, weight and possible inability to walk anywhere near as quiet as Virgil could, tonight could be one of those nights where the forest would bless them with uncommon sights or sounds.
... If they were very lucky.

Sorry for the failpost, I'd like to conclude here, but if you really want to you could write the scout. Wouldn't bother though lol, it's more fun to leave open or maybe mention something in later times idk. *Ramble*

I had a dream last night that I was in a lift that made a continuing raspberry sound as you went up and down and I was in a cop show going into this house to get a suspect and he came around the corner and it was Samuel L Jackson and he shot me in the chest but it didn't hurt I just got knocked to the floor and then I was put in the boot of a police car but it had a seat in it and it was actually a Bugatti Veyron and it went 0 to batshit in 3 seconds and we tore around new york at light-speed trying to find a hospital even though I wasn't bleeding there was just a hole but then I was on the show The Apprentice and I couldn't do the task because I felt sick and went to the toilet in the building to throw up and then I woke up.

Serenai - You're so incredibly sweet Serenai c: I had been meaning to try and meet Atvana in forest for a while, and your comment on Saosin's bio about the picture made me think RIGHT. MUST BE DONE. Though I didn't have to try, because you were with Talla when I happened to be in forest at an obscure time haha. I like those little happy coincidences.
I get that a lot. > > You
I share the sentiment, though more to observe... Atvana is not shy. It does not carry such an emotion. I, however, do. That night was a battle between it and me: it, who not only is kind and loving to all but who also wishes to see me do the same, and me who is shy among new comers to her life, particularly those with whom she's already found affection. I could just feel it pulling at me, feel the words "I would not run away, and you are presenting my actions, aren't you? Come on. you won't be a bother." Such an interesting relationship.
You must feel safe. Normally I retain my oddness for later. I suppose that's the way that paragraph is going to be, then. o:
That picture is gorgeous, and the same with the one you left on Virgil's biography. They're becoming Easter (or rather, other holidays) Eggs. I find your lovely gifts to others with no expectation, and they make me smile.
I love them as well. They're one of my favorite things, the ways things fall into place as they do.
I adore that little dandelion, by the way.
It's taken me a long time to
Expect one of those "eggs" to come your way (:
I love my little dandelion too! There is some significance to it, if you saw the bio before. I have yet to put that information in this re-vamp though.
You don't need to feel like
My mouse keeps sliding away from me and dragging things with it.
Oh, you are indeed so kind. ♥ Care for others ahead of me, if I may ask that of you. I find joy in the simplest things, including (or perhaps foremost) witnessing the kindness of others, no matter where it is aimed. It's one of the best ways to get a few tears out of me, to expose me to something truly compassionate.
Regretfully, I am not familiar with the lovely flowers' significance. I... Cannot recall anything I've read about him, if I've encountered anything at all. My draw toward him, and you, is largely intuitive. Though, I have seen you around the block my fair share. c:
I'm very glad I decided to read though this all (I say "all," you've made an art of stating such lovely things in few words), as seeing my own mentioned always strikes a special chord in the heart. I like how Iaurdagnire comminicates (as well, I've always been obsessed with his gorgeous facial markings).
And "today" is making me laugh already. I'm hardly a few lines in. Such sweet words with Noelle... that last line really resonates, after those lines. It's like a beautiful picture, with one small detail that's off, that throws the rest of the picture into doubt. Well-written, very well-written.
I love his music. ♥
I will keep the nickname in mind. I have a habit of referring to everyone by their full name, despite how common or uncommon it is. That bit about his voice booming when he laughs, I love. I heard it, the idea of it, and it was a beautiful sound. -u-
Ah! I wondered about his title-that makes perfect sense. I find it funny, that he carries such a title, as peregrine falcons are so small. (We get them around my house sometimes.)
He is certainly a gentle giant. c: I adore him ever more.
I await the reveal of the mystery of the dandelions.
And apologize for how unspeakably long this got. > >
There's no need to be so
Actually I don't think I'd be able to go into the dandelion details too thoroughly on his bio, so I might as well do it here. It's a rather large metaphor that was born out of an interaction with Crimsongale's character Garth. I think the conversation with her player revolved around death, and I had noticed this particular dandelion in the forest that was perfectly placed within its own sunbeam away from other dandelions, so I took her there in forest and pointed out that it might be just a dandelion, but the area would look empty without it being there. It was back in 09 during Dag's "Autumn event" (here) that the Dandelion reference actually came up in IC conversation, and it turned into a symbolic place for Dag. He goes there when he is at his lowest, because he believes that it is the strongest thing in the entire forest; if it's cut down or trampled, it always grows back. And that in itself is a representation of him as a plant, too.
... I have no idea if any of that made sense. Pft. I guess that's my trouble with explaining anything to do with his story; the community manages to make me touch upon all these different things every time I do a season event, and every one is swimming in so much symbolism I feel drowned trying to explain it in plain english.
Haha I'm glad you like how I write his entries. I can't really find a voice match for him like other people have done on their bios, but that was the best way of how I can imagine him to sound. I think he'd be fairly loud even when he speaks softly to be honest; I can't imagine big bulky things being anything but noisy.
Homygosh you get peregrines? Awesoooooome. I think they're fantastic, and I just can't get over how amazing they look when they dive. They may be small, but they're the kings of everything when they're flying at their highest (;
Heehee gentle giant indeed wholovescuddles

Well now it is.
I already thought you were
Ah, I apologize... MY BAD
Alright. xD
I speak like this frequently. It's... My method, I suppose. Sometimes I'll also be graceless as a goose (weird comparison), it's highly moment-dependent. Or mood. Or goodness knows what.
Thank you for the explanation. It makes absolute sense... It's very sweet. And I see what he, what you, mean.
You had no trouble. I understood flawlessly. Symbolism is very beloved by myself.
I need to find myself in one of those events. I have the dreaded "wall of text" syndrome, which makes me rather useless when it comes to the more well-thought-out occurrences of the forest. Perhaps, one day, I'll catch up. I've missed a lot about you. I regret that.
He has his own voice.
I could never find a voice for Atvana. I find tidbits, small pieces of things that I use as slight references among friends. Due to Atvana's nature, I can only put very, very general guidelines in its biography. The true explanation is highly personal, and as I am merely one perceiver of it, it is always open to interpretation.
I have been reminded of John Coffey from The Green Mile since the moment I really began to learn about him. Perhaps that may change as time goes on. I sort of doubt it. There's something there.
We do, I believe. Hard to tell, a lot of the time. I saw one dive once, very shallow, not nearly full-speed. Breathtaking nonetheless. We have red-tailed hawks, much more frequently. Our house in in the center of a triangle of perches of one pair. They raise their chicks in the same tree every year. They always have. I hear them, see them. They are nice. We have so many lovely creatures here.
Those, my friend, are the best kind of all.

Serenai -
Sounds like you live in a pretty awesome place! All I have are buzzards and Red Kites. Well, one pair of Kites in our area at least and a random rogue female Kestrel that shows up now and again to kill little birds in my garden T_T' I long for the day when I look out my window and see one of them carry off my neighbours very feral cat... haha.
Ahh The Green Mile, excellent film <3
I am most familiar with the wall of text syndrome. I'm a bit of a contradiction; I hate reading, but I do love writing. My comments on written work are very rare as I find it hard to even find time to read without being disturbed, and I do feel guilty some times when so many lovely people take the time to involve themselves with my creations when I can't reciprocate! I shouldn't worry though about having to "catch up" - I base Dag's importance on in-forest interaction. I think his story is on an "can read if you want" basis, which is why there's a little explanation so at least people can know the gist if they want to. His story isn't integral to how I play or how he makes friends, which I'm quite proud of; I find it hard to interact when I know a story out of game weighs in as the most important to justify characters (rather than the forest influencing them naturally if you see what I mean).
Atvana and Dag need to meet again (: I'm sure we can have some fun in game.
Now imagine both Celeste and
