Hhhh Animal Crossing. I have two copies of New Leaf but haven't played since february so if I get back into it I'll do so as a filthy time traveling casual so I don't lose any of my cherished villagers. I'm willing to do it though, if you need any items. I have the catalog at least 95% full by playing the game way too much after launch. If you want a thing, I can probably get it, unless you want foreign DLC, which I can't order by catalog. But if you want to check my dream town I'm Alison from Ferndale. There's my mayor's house and then the two other houses are side characters whose houses exist to hold limited/collectible items. My secondary town exists pretty much solely to grow black roses and wilt them into golds for my main town.

Jesus, how awful. I'm really sorry about that. People are all too often so narrow minded that they can't see past the surface, if they can even see over their ancient books. Not that I have an issue with religion, but it causes some people to do awful things.

Honestly, whether she's your mother or not, you don't need people like that in your life.

I had no idea things were this bad. I'm always stunned religious people can think this way about their own family. I mean, I went to Sunday school and this kind of behaviour is pretty much the complete opposite of the Christianity I was taught lol. It's crazy.

I'm really sorry your relationship with her has come to this. Even though you haven't been close it still must be hurtful to read a letter like that. -hug-

@Feesh: I hope they get better too. The calm has pretty much settled now, although I was in a bit of a depressed hole for awhile. I just sent my response to her a few days ago. It is not nasty, but it does spell out how I feel. I hope she heeds it.

@Mjrn: Your situation sounds exactly the same as mine. I often think a lot of it comes about from age. I know as a child there were no clashes like this because....well..she was my mother and I was her child. I love her and what she tells me is what is right. Until I started to develop my own world views. Some parents learn to shift and change with those views - others not so much.
