I couldn't resist (new deer)

Caw is officially deceased and inactive. He was killed by one of Iugulare's Rock Hounds

I wanted to make Caw!

His biography is pretty much the shortstory Banished, and I think I'd have a lot of fun playing as him. He has a much different personality than Quad, Pent, Trunks, ect.

Picto!

I need help deciding on a set for him, too. He is 'The Islander', so an island/sea-ish look would be cool (I don't really want the orca set even though that would be perfect for him). Any suggestions would be cool.

Set -

I feel bad for making another deer, but then again I think he would be fun to play as.

Unraveling the Wirewood - Kahlan's Story

Warning - a little gore and violence in this story

Night Runners

Kahlan awoke with a headache. She didn't feel right...where was she?

Last she remembered was the Twin Gods' hill, but now she was in a dark cave. The sounds of dripping water echoed in the distance, and nearby, she saw other figures laying around.

Surprisingly, her eyesight was very good, even though she could tell she was deep in the cave, where no light seemed to penetrate. The doe looked to the others, curious as to who they were.

"He...hello?", she called to them. Her voice was raspy, but she was able to speak. A few of the other deer awoke and sat up. One of them nearby said to her, "You're up early, young one." He was odd looking - his fur was a dark color, and his eyes seemed to glow.

"Where are we?", Kahlan asked. "You don't remember, do you?", the other deer questioned. The doe shook her head - her memory was still very fuzzy. The deer smiled to her, "You were chosen as a Night Runner. We gave you our curse, but it is as much a gift. We are no longer creatures of the Forest, no longer beings of the daylight, but rather..."

"We're...nocturnal?", Kahlan asked. The other stag smiled, "You catch on quickly. Go, look at yourself in the water. You will not recognize yourself.", he replied.

The doe sat up and walked over to the reflective pool nearby. She peered over, surprised to see a clear image of herself...and shocked that she looked nothing like what she had before.

Her face was longer, with little sharp teeth that poked out of her mouth, and her fur was pitch black. Two glowing green eyes stared back at her...her eyes...

She backed away from the pool, she couldn't believe what she had become. "What did you do to me?", she asked the stag.

He gave a little chuckle before he said, "You were infected by one of our kind. You are one of us now!

Ever wonder what Brandy acts like?

Here's a couple of videos my mom took while I left the house to run an errand. The voice you hear is my mom.

Bonus Points to anyone who can name what my mom was watching on TV (first video only, i think the second video was a commercial) Eye

The Summoned Evil (To be worked on soon)

"A sprinkle of blood orange juice..."

The juice splashed the cold dirt, where inscriptions were carved in a circle.

"The skull of a fawn..."

A skull was placed in the center of the circle. It began to emit a slight green light at this point.

"Two pieces of wood turned stone..."

Two small chunks of petrified wood were placed in each eye socket on the skull. The light got brighter and brighter.

"...And a word of summoning..."

Iugulare stood on her hind legs. The infection supported her as she watched the dark surroundings grow brighter and brighter with the green hue. She grinned - all the pieces were in place, everything was working. She just had to finish it.

"Oh valde malum phasmatis, exsisto existo!"

With a burst of light, the offerings on the ground were swallowed up, and soon after a form took shape within the center of the ring. It was a creature unlike any that ever walked on the Earth, a creature from another world. Iugulare's summoning ritual was a success.

The light faded, and before the infectious stoat was a young dragon. The creature's skin shimmered in shades of green and white, and her eyes were a dark green that stared at the one who summoned her. She had great wings and two legs, along with a long tail. She was much more interesting than Iugulare imagined her to be - she had no mouth, but instead, had a slit in her chest. Two small arms were at both sides of the slit. This was most curious to the stoat.

"The great...and terrible...Anirapio. You have been brought here to aid in my quest to claim this world.", Iugulare said to the dragon. The creature looked back at her - it strangely understood the language, and was able to reply using a form of telepathy, "Why would I serve you? I could easily...", but she stopped the sentence, examining her summoner for a moment, reluctantly saying, "No...you lack a soul.

Another artwork request (sorry for asking again)

Heya everyone, I'm coming up with a new 'villain' for one of my deer, much like Iugulare, the infectious stoat who rivals Quad.

This one will be a villain for Trunks, and I plan to write a story about the two of them.

So this character is a dragon. I haven't come up with every detail about her, but the idea is that she is summoned by Iugulare to serve as a minion, but the dragon goes off and does her own things instead.

She doesn't have a mouth, but she has a long 'pouch' (it's more like a tube) that runs the length of her belly. She originally didn't have any kind of arms, but Silent helped me decide for her to have little arms (almost like praying mantis ones) that she uses to capture her prey. She forces them into the 'pouch', where she is able to feed off of them, and after draining the energy and nutrients from her prey, she releases them through the tip of her tail (the end of the tube). Depending on the prey, she may feed off of them for only a moment, or in cases where the prey is full of nutrition, she may hold them in her pouch for a day or two.

In addition, she steals their spirit. The victim, when released, is virtually a zombie, while the essence of the victim remains trapped in the dragon's belly.

Facebook - Pieces of Flair!

Hey guys, guess what! I just created 10 pieces of flair on an app on Facebook I think I'm becoming addicted to!

And they're Quad and Iugulare related!!

To get to the app, simply go to:

http://apps.facebook.com/getflair/

You have to get tickets to be able to collect a lot of flair, but it's pretty easy - just send a piece of flair to a bunch of people and you'll be all set. Please feel free to share the ones I made.

To find them, simply look up QuadRaptor, Iugulare, or Endless Forest. You can't miss them.

All of the artwork is (c) their respective creators:

Quad1 - Pegasicorn
Quad2 - Liëka
Quad3 - Ephra
Quad4 - Sqish
Quad5 - Pegasicorn
Iug1 - Dragoneyes
Iug2 - Trinket
Iug3 - Silent

Hope you get addicted to this app like I have! I swear I have like 50 deer flair so far!

Idea for my writing thing lately...

So I've got Unraveling the Wirewood going on, which is my shortstory collection for MickKreiger's writing-a-thon thing.

An idea I had (wanted to see what you guys thought) was maybe once all 15 stories were written, I'd have a vote for which story you thought was the best. And after a couple of weeks whichever story gets the most votes, the character the story was written about would get a bonus story written for them. It would be like a follow-up to the events in their story.

What do you think? Of course we have to wait until the very end since I've only written two stories right now, but I think it would be fun. Eye

If - Rudyard Kipling

I just wanted to share a great poem with you guys. Eye

-----------------------------------------------------------

If by Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

-----------------------------------------------------------

One of my professors shared this poem with me, in particular the line:

If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;

He explained that people who see things not as failures but as a learning experience will go far in life.

Let your soul soar...

"My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies,
Fairy tales of yesterday, will grow but never die,
I can fly, my friends!"
- Queen, The Show Must Go On

----------------------------------------

Allow yourself to be free.

Just let go.

Let your soul soar.

The voice echoed in Luis' mind. Who was speaking to him? What were they talking about?

The stag at first ignored the voice, but little by little, it intrigued him.

"How? How do I be free?", he asked the voice.

It's easy. Look deep into your soul.

Luis tilted his head. "Huh? How do I..."

Fly, Luis! Fly!

And if it was triggered, Luis felt his back sprout great wings - monarch butterfly wings! They were absolutely huge, and even he was astounded that he had sprouted them.

Fly!

The wings flapped quickly, and the deer lifted off. He soared into the air, passing the Forest canopy and climbing high into the sky. He soon flew through the clouds, and hovering above them, he saw something in the horizon.

"I thought that was you.", Luis said to the figure.

There, floating with four great angel wings, was Quad. He smiled when he saw his fellow deer there, "See? Freedom feels good doesn't it?"

"Quad, how did you...?", Luis asked, but he couldn't finish the question. "I didn't do it. You did. You believed in yourself, and that's how you got the wings.", Quad said, and then continued, "Your wings reflect your soul...and your soul is beautiful, Luis."

----------------------------------------

Luis awoke, back on the ground. He looked to his back - the wings were gone, but instead sat a monarch butterfly who had rested on his body.

The butterfly, disturbed from his awakening, began to fly and circle around him. Luis smiled.

"Fly away, my friend. Be free."
