A looooooooong time ago, I would go 'treasure hunting' at my local thrift stores. Back then, CDs were just coming out but at the time I was the proud owner of a cassette player. Well, I came across Asia's self titled cassette at the thrift store, bought it, and listened to Wildest Dreams.

From that moment on, I was obsessed with this band!

I wanted to share some of my favorite songs by Asia. I listened to them back in elementary school, and they became the first band I ever got into, followed by bands such as Great White and Journey (who I also found cassettes for at the thrift store). I would listen to Asia's songs over and over, singing the lyrics and sometimes dancing to the beat

I started the playlist above with the one song Asia was most famous for, The Heat of the Moment. Following that song is Wildest Dreams, and then afterward is a mix of their songs, spanning from 1982 to 2008 (Never Again is from their most recent album). Asia represents some of the finest 80's Progressive Rock out there, and even though I've moved on to many, many, MANY other bands, I'm proud to call them my first favorite band!
