How does the forest make you feel?

I have just recently logged on to the forest after a long leave. I forgot how beautiful, symbolic, and peaceful it is. This may sound strange but playing makes me want to spend more time outdoors reconnecting with nature. I am curious to hear how it makes other players feel. And maybe to make sure I'm not overreacting to it from not playing for so long. Sticking out tongue

Group fun!

I'm holding a little dance party at the drinkplatts! Stop by and join the fun!

Lady Jewel's story part 2 chapter 3

Chapter 3 is finished!

Bright shafts of moonlight flooded through the forest canopy. Fireflies danced above the patches of hyacinths and crickets chirped loudly. The occasional coyote howl drifted through the wood as bats chattered and owls hooted.
It was on nights exactly like this that Lady loved to dance. Now that she could walk on only two legs, her dancing was even more marvelous. She was careful not to leave the sacred grounds of the sanctuary, no matter how badly she missed the herd. Lady danced in the courtyard in the middle of the sanctuary, chanting a little song. She twirled and leaped playfully in time with the rhythmic chirping of a nearby cricket. Lady loved the mysterious beauty of the night’s darkness, even though she was born of light. Her gaze lifted to a break in the canopy where she saw something amazing: The flickering lights of the aurora borealis. She had never seen anything like it before, but somehow knew exactly what it was. The green lights danced and twirled about just like Lady did.
She had been outside since the sun went down, and it was now midnight. Exhausted from her dancing and studies, she stumbled to her book-lined room for a well deserved slumber.
She started dreaming about the incredible dancing lights. Flying with them, weaving in and out of their bright curtains. Lady let out a hearty laugh as she dove through another bright wall of light. She had never felt so free! She flew down through a spiral of green ribbon into the forest below. Lady landed in front of a grand structure. She felt like she knew the area, but the trees surrounding the structure were merely saplings. Not the giant old growth forest she was familiar with. She entered the temple.
Inside she saw a golden-haired young woman. She was kneeled on the floor, peering at a book while tending to a young, tawny colored fawn. The fawn mooed in pain, it’s leg appeared broken.

Chapter 2! more under the cut

Lady jewel woke up with a start. Her face was covered in dew. The dew never bothered her before, but this was the first time she ever felt it on her skin. It was an alien feeling, the tingling cold condensation dripping down her hairless face. She wiped it off quickly with the sleeve of her kimono, which was also damp.
“Next time I’ll sleep in that old oak tree near the pond,” she mumbled
Lady made her way over to the pond. All at once the sound of frogs and ducks greeted her as she stooped down to drink. Since she wasn’t a deer now, she had to scoop water up to her mouth with her hands. The water felt uncomfortably cold as she plunged her hands into the crystal clear waters. The cold water stung her hands. She had yet to get used to the lack of fur.
Finally satiating her thirst, she gazed at herself in the pond’s glassy surface. She knew most of the deer around the forest had human faces, but she was not used to seeing it perched on such a thin neck, and her shoulders were so wide...
“Lady.”
once again she was jostled out of her thought.
“Yes momma?” she answered instinctively, recognizing her foster parent’s voice immediately.
“How many times do I...” the kirin shook it’s head, “Look, I’ve got something very important to tell you. Follow me.”
Juniper told Lady everything that was said at the meeting. The kirin even showed Lady the ruins where that wicked magician kept Natalee for all that time. It was amazing how the cage stayed intact for all those years! Their walk ended at the drinkplatts, Lady’s birth place, and the location of the giant crystal poppy. She felt a familiar knot in her throat as she recalled her earliest memories. She remembered her mother’s surprised expression as she opened her eyes for the first time.

Lady jewel's story part 2

Here we are! chapter one of my story!

Lady Jewel perched on the top of a giant magical mottled-brown mushroom left over from a recent abiogenesis. She gazed silently at crimson poppy that floated in midair as her hands revolved slowly around the treasured flower. Questions buzzed through her mind like millions of newly molted dragonflies hungering for sustenance: How did I change from a deer to a humanoid fairy? What magic spell was responsible? Will I ever return to my deer form? Who is responsible? When did I change? Why did this happen? Has anybody even noticed?
Lady was once a beautiful peacock doe with red, blue, and green wings, a long flowing tail, gold jewelry, and a red jewel on her forehead (hence her name). She was well known for her playful ways, polite manners, and her absolute love of everyone and everything. The tale of her birth is well known throughout the forest, and touches even the darkest coldest hearts. She was still just as striking as before, but her new body just felt so... odd. Her entire appearance changed: her joint structure, her face, even her wings were different. Her wings were replaced with leaf-like fairy wings with a peacock eye on each one. She still retained her red plume, red locks, facial markings, red forehead jewel, and her peacock feather mane as well as her gold jewelry and skin coloration.
Lady sighed and let the poppy fall to the ground as a slight breeze played with her red and gold embellished blue kimono. Her quest for answers was going nowhere. She daintily slid off the giant mushroom right before it disappeared. Everybody knew Abiogenesis magic never lasted long. Her head hurt from hours of racking her brain for an answer, and she was no closer then when she started.
As Lady scanned the surrounding area, she noticed all kinds of familiar faces.
