Waterfall in the Endless Forest!

I have thought of a new place to add to the Endless Forest! A waterfall! Everyone knows the Crying Idol starts the river, right? Well, maybe we should add something between the Crying Idol and the bridge, and then make the river much, much longer!

After the bridge, the land would start getting higher and higher. You would see the river is getting downer and downer as you walk. Then you see a waterfall. There is also a log right in front of the waterfall, and you can cross it to the other side. Then after you leave the waterfall you kept on walking. After a while you find the Crying Idol.

There could also be a place somewhere along the border of the map, wherever it is. Mountains! They are really high and it would take a long time to climb it. You can walk all around the mountains and on the mountains itself. You could hear the winds and birds, and you can see the whole forest on the mountains!

I would show you pictures of what they would look like to me, but I don't know how to put pictures on here and I have not made the pictures yet.

I hope you like my new places!!! Smiling

The Wooden Box (Vanitas-based story)

For Michael and Auriea

While walking down the street, I saw that my neighbors were having a yard sale. I looked at the individual items and found a little wooden box with VANITAS written on it. Opening the box, I found two twigs and an acorn sitting within. "Oh that box is very special.", my neighbor said, "It has the power to inspire and create."

"Interesting...", I said, and then asked, "How much are you asking for it?"

"For you, only $1.99.", she replied. I had two dollars in my wallet...exactly two dollars, and I gave it to her. "Don't worry about the change.", I said, and taking the wooden box, I walked on the sidewalk to my house.

I went in, greeted my dogs, and let them outside. Holding the box, I opened it again, but was surprised that the twigs and acorn were gone...well, replaced, by a bird's skull, key, and a ladybug. The ladybug flew out of the box happily. I was surprised to see it, actually, since ladybugs are not common where I live. Then I picked up the skull and studied it. I had no idea what kind of bird it was from. Lastly, I took the key out, inspecting it as well - it was worn, silver, and had a "V" engraved in it.

"I wonder...", I thought to myself. Letting the dogs back in, I pulled down the step ladder to my attic and climbed up, pulling down an old lock box that I had found a long time ago. I sat the box on a table and tried the key. It fit, and turning the key, the box unlocked. I had been waiting a long time to open this box, and as I did, I found bones inside. I had no idea what the box was there for, what it's purpose was, but instinctively, I took the bird skull and placed it inside, closing it.

I returned to the little wooden VANITAS box, only to find it was closed too. Sliding it open, I found two strange-looking eggs as well as another twig like before. I considered the twig being there, and then decided that the eggs may need to be put into a nest.

Intro and Set Help (pelt)

Hello all, I've been intrigued by TEF for a while now, ever since hearing about it. I joined back in November but didn't have a lot of time to spend in-game until now, and I'd like to get Hellequin socializing and possibly outfit him with a new pelt and mask, now that he's an adult. Character-wise, he's modeled after a renaissance harlequin, jovial and rambunctious at times, but he can get very serious and focused when he's scheming a scheme.
He'd probably wear a Secretary Bird pelt and a Magpie mask, but I haven't decided on antlers yet, they're not really a priority atm.
I'll be on most of this evening, probably, hanging out by the pond. Smiling
Thanks in advance for the help, and I look forward to frolicking with everyone!

EDIT: Thanks so much for the mask, Skitties! I'm still rather new at this so my sense of direction and where specific useful trees are is all askew. ^_^;;

They stayed together that night. Above the forest's branches there hung the silken sky, an upturned ocean, invisible light bouncing off of the waves and creating the starshine that intrigued so many. Below the earth, things scurried, unseen, unknown, harmless little insects hiding from the snow. It was a perfect world, for a little while. A perfect world for them.

"I don't know why we're here."

Two pairs of eyes flickered and looked at the third pair, chocolate and blue into hazy amber.

"I thought we'd be punished to be honest."

Murmers of agreement.

"Ah well, maybe Hell's just one big party eh? That's what I told meself. An' like maybe this is Heaven or somethin'. Or maybe Hell's so peaceful you get bored, like this."

Well, maybe.

A Hycinth Story, 1-2-11

[=#CD96CD] In the snow, she remembers Toukan's leg hurts very much. In the snow, she knows everything is bright and sparkly and moving everywhere, reflecting in her pupils like little stars and drifting down like volcanic ash or the prettiest red leaves or sunlight falling in little motes and she gets to snuggle, even with strangers, if she shakes in the cold. Hyacinth does not know how to feel about snow.
It is a new year, a new year, and an old Hyacinth; still scared by a little fawn's bleating, still darting behind him like a shield, still distracted by something on the edge of her mind and the falling of snow. Same old Hyacinth. She sits with Toukan and a friend whose name escapes, framed and surrounded by sad little graves. Hyacinth wonders what it is like to be dead. She thinks it is cold, but is it colder than snow? She feels it is dark. But she has been cold and dark before, and has not been dead. She has wished to be dead, when she was cold and dark, but she was not dead. Like how deer are animals and run but not all animals run. Yes. Kaoori woke up, while there was all that spinning and imagining the dark. She likes Kaoori, who is little and quiet. She considers trying being little, on a permanent basis. It could be fun.
Hyacinth sleeps, and tries very hard not to dream. It does not work, and she is back in the room, staring at the stone. Her arm hurts, but that is silly because it hasn't grown back yet. It is over there, on his desk. Hello, arm. It is a dream, so the arm waves. She knows it is a dream, then: all the times he took her apart, they never waved. She wished they would have: it was very lonely in the room. It is only him and bits of her. She tries to dream herself away, but the door is opening and he is coming down the stairs and something is in his hand, and sparks fall onto the ground all around it, lighting up the staircase slowly...
And she is awake and a fawn gives her flowers.
