that's why they call me [ interaction blog ; TEF & Non-TEF ] Mr Fahrenheit
January 5, 2011 - 3:52pm — Rutilus
GUYS. SERIOUSLY. No matter who you are, I WANT you to join! I don't bite, honestly <3
Welcome to the next installment of Dannii's interaction blogs! You know, those things that I use for a while and eventually kind of forget about? Yup, it's one 'a those. I'd reeeeally like it if some more people joined, y'know, people that don't usually roleplay with me or don't usually even talk to me :U But my usuals are still welcome because I love them.
I sound like a prostitute.
Anyway, here we go! Human or deer is fine, questions are fine, illiterate or literate is fine. Anything you like, I'll just go with the flow. You can doodle I guess, but I can't really draw so 8U
I'm not writing introductions because I can't be bothered, but ya~
My TEF characters are Taliene Phoebus, Rutilus Phoebus, Jared Phoebus, Lorak Adrokus, Rhye Rendezvous, Rhapsody, Freddie Mercury, Prophet, Innuendo and Rum. Human or deer is fine.

Lorak; male; says he's 22; antisocial for the most part, but appreciates company occassionally; rapid moodswings, often depressed; cursed with the ability to latch onto other souls, keeping himself alive though he can die, he just comes back; with this curse comes the ability to see and speak to spirits, though not all; beluga pelt, orca mask, key antlers (deer); bright orange eyes; tall, lightly toned, incredibly pale, long-ish black hair, scars on his arms, torso and legs
Rhapsody (NO HUMAN FORM YET); male; says he's 19; quiet, very curious but hesitant, doesn't often approach others; easily upset; sensitive; questioning constantly; clingy; nightfall pelt, any mask, default antlers (deer); deep turquoise eyes

Freddie (Mercury); male; believed to be in his mid-twenties; very shy when not around friends; caring, protective; charismatic; dry-humoured; bitchy when pissed off; temperamental; can be argumentative; very, very reserved; orca pelt, magpie mask, default antlers (deer); chocolate-brown eyes; looks like this in human form
Prophet; male; believed to be 27; distant, curious, hesitant, cautious, giving, welcoming, melancholy at times, contemplative, observant, easily guilt-tripped, plagued with nightmares, his business is to create, to inspire; secretary bird pelt/dark realdeer pelt, secretary bird mask, default antlers (deer); warm amber eyes; just above shoulder-length black hair, wavy, slightly gold-tanned skin, fairly slender (human)

If you like, you can also interact with some of my non TEF characters. Human only. Also there's information everywhere around here about my deer. xD This is so messy fufufu.
Brian Hart; male; 25; long, wildly curly dark brown hair, hazel eyes, pale skin, incredibly tall and thin; serious, temperamental, intelligent, protective, often socially awkward; in a band named Regal; alternative version of Brian May, with a rather different life but the same career choice; has one child, two step-children and a partner; incredibly passionate about animals; appearance
Danila Zranii; genderless, appears as and acts more female; unknown age, but calls herself twenty-one; shoulder-length choppy black hair, gold eyes, ivory-white skin, tall and thin; secretly an alien; shy, secretive, elusive, sensible, surprisingly snappy at times, sensitive; doesn't work; partnered with Jill London
Freddie Eloquent; male; 25; appearance - black hair, chocolate eyes, tanned skin, terrible overbite; in a band named Regal; alternative version of Freddie Mercury with a drastically different life and personality, but same career path; terribly shy at first, dry-humoured, vulnerable and intimidating, has 'two sides', one of which is a 'monster' and one of which is terribly shy and sensitive
James (Jim) Osterburgh; male; 26; appearance though naturally blonde, dyes hair black, large grey eyes, pale skin, scars all over his chest and arms; appearance heavily based on early-1970s Iggy Pop, obviously; very small, yet thin and muscular at the same time; childish at times, brutal at others, wild yet tamed, needy, unreliable, liar, distrustful, previously addicted to drugs; unemployed after quitting the music business; engaged to another man
John Dawson; male; 21; appearance, muddy green eyes; alternative version of John Deacon with a different life and personality but same career choice; terribly shy and quiet, strange, very rarely releases his temper but known to be able to make someone curl up in fear when he does
Roger Meddows-Grey; 25; appearance, with pale-blonde hair and light blue eyes, very small and thin; alcoholic, easily amused, says the wrong thing at the wrong time, known as strange, loves cars, loves irritating people, loves getting attention; alternative version of Roger Meddows-Taylor with a different life and personality, but same career choice; in a band called Regal
Thomas Rush; 27; appearance with pale blue eyes, left pupil permanently dilated, terribly pale skin, bright orange hair with blonde roots; drug-ravaged form, still recovering; a bit cynical, strange, protective, shy, antisocial, bitter, temperamental at times, likes to enjoy life; working in the music business; previously based on 1975-1976 David Bowie
ABOUT REGAL; The band Regal are based on 1975-or-so Queen. They have just released their third album, Sheer Heart Attack, the tour of which was cancelled because Brian has been in and out of hospital for a while with hepatitis (recovered) and anemia. I obviously based their lives and basic personalities on what I've seen and read of Queen, but they've evolved and developed by themselves. I apologise if anyone is offended by whatever, but ah well. It's just me having fun. C: /mauled.
Also, if your characters interact with any of the Regal members, you can decide for yourself whether or not they know who they are. Regal are not supposed to be famous right now in any country other than Japan.
RIGHT THAT TOOK ABOUT THREE HOURS, I'M PROBABLY GOING TO BE MAULED, LET'S GO!

Faunet The king let his head
The king let his head fall into his hands, unruly hair wisping around his fingers. His eyes were tightly shut, thin lips pressed firmly together. What to do? What to do? Reject the fair woman that had fallen for him? Say nothing, do nothing? Lie to her? Jareth liked her, certainly, but it was far from love. She meant a great deal to him, was precious to him - but it was not romance. He wasn't sure he would, or could, ever feel like that for someone again.
For a long time, he'd stood there at the balcony of the luxurious bedroom he kept as his own. He'd muttered aloud, cursed and sworn quietly, but he'd barely moved. All he wanted to do was escape a while. Get rid of himself, his glory, his majesty. His responsibility. Why couldn't Sierra have fallen for, say, one of the fine suitors that were constantly coming a-knocking? In fact, she could just go and do that now couldn't she? She'd--she'd be allright if he rejected her gently, wouldn't she? He'd recovered, she would too, surely? ...Right? Right?
In place of the king there rested a barn owl, which took flight around the castle until it reached the window of Sierra's bedroom. There it perched, tapping the glass gently with its beak in the hopes that she would notice, and that the baby would not wake up. The owl watched with wary eyes, trying to figure out how it was going to do this.
He wished he could have said he loved her, instead of just having some form of feelings for her.
[ Nuevapaz; Eee 8D Shall I start the L+M? Deer, right? And if you want R+H as well just let me know <3 I thoroughly enjoy roleplaying with you so C: ]
I should never have given him
Faunet There's no space in
There's no space in his mind for small talk. Jareth ruffles his feathers before whipping into the air and then lands gently on Sierra's shoulder. His feathered head presses against the side of her feminine face, a silent, but heartfelt apology.
He wishes he loved her. Perhaps they could have been happy - she could have been his Queen, the Goblin King would finally have a Queen...
The owl continues to just sit there, hooting softly every now and then to try and let Sierra know that he's conveying something, he's upset, he's saddened by her sorrow - he wants to love her, and he can't. Or he just doesn't. He doesn't know.
She closes her eyes as she
"Love is something that can not be forced but is glorious to those who experience it,or so I've observed" she puts her arm back to her side."Jareth won't you speak to me in..human form, please tell me I have not upset you so much that you are unwilling to transform in my company."she looks into his mismatched eyes pleading with him to turn into human form.
{Is this before or after the ball"}
[ Uuuh whichever you'd prefer
Her concern, her compassion - it pains him, almost physically, to hurt someone as pure as this. The owl ruffles its feathers again and flies from her shoulder, only to disappear in a burst of glitter and have a tall, thin, cloaked figure replace it.
Jareth's face looks worn and tired, dark shadows under his eyes, contrasting against the rest of his pale skin. He gazes at Sierra, with eyes over a thousand years old, and he wishes things were different. If only he were able to grant his own wish, if only...
"I could never," he begins, pausing after a moment. "Ask you to apologise. I would only have worried further if you'd...kept it from me." The king smiles, a sad, apologetic smile.
"I could never have fallen again," he shakes his head, strands of hair irritating his face. It's a lie. God, it's a lie. He could have fallen for her. He wants to. He just doesn't know if he's prepared to chance it. "I fell once, and was defeated. I fell twice, and was hated. I fell thrice, and was rejected, and I cannot fall a fourth time."
{Before please} "Such
"Such experiences let alone three leave a mark on a person."She paused trying how to decide how to word this, his pain made it harder for her to concentrate."If there is fourth or another chance it should be on your terms,so that you will know the outcome and not get hurt.I would promise that I would never hurt.however trust just doesn't happen like magic."
She tucks a strand of her hair behind her ear."In past relationships I was cheated on,abused, and scared for life, trust is essential. But the fourth time is an option. One that if you are willing to take I would gladly be by your side. But you must be the one to try it if you wish to not it is understandable."
"Although why would royalty want to try on me a fae that was once mortal"she gives him a small smile."I'm sure my letter was one out of many that appears before you,'she looks at her hands a little embarrassed.
Yes, deer. And I would like
Faunet "Your letter was one
"Your letter was one of many, but it was the only one that made me feel something."
He grimaces, unused to showing emotion like this. Where is the coldhearted king? Where is the frost in his eyes, the cruelty in his smirk?
"Do not wait for me. But do not think I feel any less for you because of your confession...By the way."
Jareth hesitates, gloved hands fidgeting.
"I hope you know that, if I were able, I would punish every man that has ever hurt you, and I would make it last."

Lorak+Melinoe
The Ruins are occupied, as they often are, by a stag of two shades. Black, and white, save for his eyes, the only dots of colour in his melancholy appearance. They are a bright orange, an inferno amongst the charcoal and snow.
The stag, for once, is fairly happy. His depression has eased, most likely due to the recent festivities that have for once gone very well, and it is because of this that his mind is not entirely plagued with spirits.
Lorak clears the dead leaves from his own grave, and looks to the other graves, intending to do the same - but those already have someone to take care of them. He just can't remember who.
He looks down at the grave, thinking.
Rhapsody+Hope
Sometimes, the snow makes him sad.
He's never experienced it before, and he wishes that he had someone to share it with. They could sit with him, on this cold evening, and they could talk to him. Share their stories.
Rhapsody loves hearing stories. Tales of the past. Anything.
But since Mick and Poltergeist went, he's had no-one. He hasn't really made the effort. Too afraid that he'll only lose someone again if he does.
Sometimes, the snow makes him sad. Makes him think.
The stag, with his nightfall pelt and carnival mask, sits alone at the river, and frowns as he makes the decision to find company.

Melinoe There was another
There was another frequent visitor to the ruins, also in black and white, though, unlike the other, not even the doe's eyes had any color to them.
Melinoe was not entirely surprised to sense the familiar presence nearby. She moved towards it, and when the stag came into view, she greeted him with a simple word, and nothing more.
"Lorak."
There was a slight difference in her from the last time they had met. It wasn't obvious, but she seemed slightly happier, or at least a bit less gloomy. Something had changed.
----
Hope
The young buck watched the snow in silence. He liked snow, but it would be nice to have someone warm to cuddle up with. If only his father were here, or one of his brothers. They were all he had now, with the butterflies, his usual companions, having disappeared for the winter. At least now he knew his family was doing well, which was better than this time last year when he hadn't known what had become of any of them. He sighed and began to head towards the river, though he wasn't really paying attention to which direction he was going.
((no, mine are short. I can't match up to your writing skill.))
Faunet Curiousity surfaces;
Curiousity surfaces; Jareth cocks his head a little to the side. "If you wish. What is it?" The king glances around the room, then lets himself sit on the edge of Sierra's bed, for lack of another closer place to sit.

He let himself smile, for Melinoe was one of few deer that he could have sat with for hours; she may have seemed a little...melancholy, but that was what Lorak liked about her. She didn't drive him insane. She was also interesting - he'd have loved to ask more about her, but lacked the courage to do so. He didn't like being intrusive.
"Hello," he greeted, turning his entire body to face her, hooves thudding lightly on the ground. "It's been a while, yeah? How's...life?"
R+H
When he saw the other, his ears pricked up and he stood uncertainly, teal eyes looking towards the stranger. Please be friendly, please be friendly...
"Hey--hey watch, that--that part's slippy," Rhapsody half-stammered out, moving instinctively towards the other. Not that he could do much if the buck did slide down the bank.

Melinoe did not smile back, but only because smiling was such a rare thing for her. She simply gave a slight nod instead. "Yes." She contemplated how to answer his question. "I suppose I have no complaints aside from the usual." She didn't go into any further detail, and most likely wouldn't unless asked. Turning, she studied a nearby grave for a moment before sitting down in front of it.

Hope
At the sound of a voice seemingly directed at him, Hope stopped, turning his head towards the source. "Oh! H-hello there. Th-thank you." He bowed politely, never forgetting the manners his father taught him.

If Jareth had a lot of friends, all of them would know he appreciated beauty.
He smiles, sadly, but at the same time gratefully.
"I will watch." A nod.

The key-antlered stag watched her for a few seconds, head slightly tilted, orca mask hiding the upper half of his face. "What's the usual?" He questioned, hoping that she would not mind. If she did, she could tell him so, he supposed. Lorak, too, sat, but infront of his own grave.

Smiling nervously, Rhapsody bowed back, studying the other with a curious, teal-eyed gaze. "Hallo~ What's--what's your name? Mine's Rhapsody. I just--sorry, I'm just--you know, curious."

She had just finished dusting some of the more frontal displays, and so, she took the oppurtunity to walk further into the shop and clean some of the things up the back, that never saw as much attention and love as those that sat at the front to attract customers in.
I've always wanted to use her at work for some reason.
Melinoe A small frown
A small frown appeared on her face. "Just the usual annoying deer. Often some fawn insisting on bothering us when we would prefer to be left alone. Or at least I would. I do not think he minds so much." She neglected to say who "he" was, but mostly because she simply didn't see a need to, unless asked specifically.

Hope
Hope returned an equally nervous smile. "N-no, it's okay! You don't...h-have to apologize. M-my name is...H-Hope. N-nice...to meet you. R-Rhapsody. I...I like that name." He smiled again, taking a step closer. He was already beginning to like this deer.

If there was anything that could take her mind off of reality's morose truth, it was the town. She needed fresh air, and a walk, and so fresh air and a walk she took, slowly clearing her muddled mind and dusting off her thoughts. But after a few hours of wandering, time that had been drawn out as slowly as her mind could make it seem in order to make her feel as if she wouldn't have to return home any time soon, she came to a stop outside a bookstore. It was somewhere she'd been before, but only a few times, and she hadn't been for quite a long while now.
After all, Taliene Phoebus had been locked away by her sole self since the very beginning of May the previous year.
Eight months nursing a broken heart, and no-one came to comfort her aside from her brothers. And all the while she knew that he was happy, with plenty of friends, a new love, and soon, a new child. She'd hear Jared and Rutilus talk about it, the younger with pity in his voice and the older with utter fury, caustic, disgusted.
A cream-coloured hand pushed open the door of the bookstore, and when she realised that it appeared empty, the brunette wondered if it was closed - but it had not said so on the door, had it? She didn't turn back to check, wandering aimlessly, finding herself at a shelf full of fictional stories based on true ones.
A quiet sigh.
Alone?
No different than usual.

Of course, he recognised that Melinoe was speaking about herself and someone else - a male, apparently, but she gave no other information about her companion. Lorak grunted.
"Fawns." A slight huff of breath, as if irritated. "They can be annoying, yeah. Who's 'he'?"

Hope! What a wonderful, joyous thing - and what a privelige (sp?) to be named after something so inspiring.
"Hope~" He seemed to taste the name on his tongue, eyes rolling heavenwards in thought as he reflected on this word and what it meant, and what it could imply about the shy young buck he'd met and now hoped to properly befriend. "I'd love to be named after something like that. Your parents, they uh, must've been really--really happy to--to have you. His ears dropped in embarrassment at his inarticulate manner of wording.

I sit on my bed and start to tie my black pointe shoes to my feet, just and snook enters the room I can see he brought a companion Eek.They both bounce to my side and hand me a blue masquerade mask the so happened to match my dress. Both goblin let out ooohs and ahhhs."Eek please give this sheet of music to the muscians and tell them to start playing it immediately after I am introduced".
Eek smilled and bowed and took the sheet off to deliver the message.I rise up and down nervously on my shoes."Snook lets wait somewhere else ok "I didn't want Jareth to see me till after I go through with this.Snook led me to some unknown room in the castle. The only inhabitants was a grand piano that had a window nearby with a spectacular view."Why dance"Snook asks innocently
"It's just something I want to do "I say shrugging him off.
The music begins and names of introduction are bellowed I let out a breath of air that I didn't know I was holding. This performance was for him.Minutes pass but they seem like hours till finally mine is called.Snook comes to take my hand but before we transport I secure my mask and whisper"Jareth I love you,and this is for you my love."and then we transport into the middle of the ballroom.
There is a gasp of surprise but from the corner of my eye I see Jareth it made my heart leap.
I didn't have time to read his reaction for the orchestra started playing and then I started to dance.I put my heart and soul into it like never before my movements were swift and graceful, sure and honest.I put emotion and pride but most of all my love for him into my dance at the end I stopped and looked to the sky and gestured with my right hand to the stars. The applause started and my eyes looked to Jareth.
This was the music Sierra was dancing to.
She heard the door open,
The woman in front of her, was by her best guess, early twenties. She had creamy coloured skin, the normal for most people around the town, unlike Kahlan who's skin was very pale. She had green eyes, like Kahlan herself. She was very pretty, but somehow she looked quite melancholy.
"Can I help you Miss?" She asked politely.
Mel "A zombie by the name of
"A zombie by the name of Janjaweed." Her voice seemed slightly softer when she said it. It might have even been about as close to a tone of affection that Melinoe could ever have. "You may not know him. He is not often in the forest."
----
Hope
The buck beamed at the compliment, though he also blushed slightly, somehow modest and proud at the same time. Hope was proud of his name, even if some teased him for it simply because it was a typically feminine name. But they didn't know why he had been given it. "Y-you're...right, actually. U-usually...when I tell someone my name...they just th-think it's...a g-girl's name. B-but they don't know...M-my dad gave it to me b-because...he said...th-that we...I m-mean, me and...my brothers...that we...g-gave him hope...when we were b-born. M-my brother...Charity...was named...for a s-similar reason. A-and then there's...S-Seth and...C-Crash." He gave a slight laugh. Though still a bit nervous, it was clear that talking about his family made him happy. "B-but yours...is really nice, too. It...sounds nice, and it's...w-well...m-musical. So I guess your parents...must like music."
Faunet The king's eyes were
The king's eyes were for her, and only for her. He watched as she moved, with that melancholy ambience in his heart and an arcane sorrow in his eyes. Enraptured, he watched, until the dance had come to a fleeting end.
Hands covered with black gloves tapped together quietly, mismatched eyes set solely on Sierra once more. He did not want to speak - perhaps ever again. But of course, someone like Jareth would never be able to remain silent.
"Precious thing," he murmered, oh-so-softly, and melted into the crowd, for he did not wish for her to see the sorrowed expression on his face any longer. Jareth's crow's mask covered the top half of his face, but he was recogniseable anywhere. One could feel his presence as he moved around a room.
"How you turned my world, you..." He didn't realise he'd stepped behind an enormous curtain that hid a long corridor until he heard his own voice, and heard it echo down that same, dark, stonewalled corridor. Jareth let out a heavy sigh.

For a few seconds, she just stared at the person, as if she had forgotten what it was like to be spoken to. The dark-haired creature before her was beautiful, she had to admit, and oddly pale. Her mind ran fleetingly to a friend of hers, then back again. Was that friend paler than this woman? Her imagination could not tell.
When she realised that she still hadn't spoken, Taliene cleared her throat and stuttered slightly before forcing a smile, shaking her head. The falseness of her smile was incredibly obvious. She had not properly smiled in a while now.
"I was just looking," she replied, hands travelling to the pockets of her long, red coat. "Slow day?"

A zombie? Lorak looked momentarily surprised. "I don't...believe I've ever met him, but I've heard the name." He blinked, glancing away to his own gravestone with its terribly faded pictogram-and-date. "...Zombie."

Rhapsody echoed the buck's smile as he spoke of his family, for the obvious happiness in Hope's voice and demeanor when doing so made the dark-blue one feel lighter himself.
"I don't know," he admitted, deep-turquoise eyes flickering with brief, momentary disappointment, for he still could not remember his family. "I erm. Never met them." A pause.
"Char--Charity...? Seth, Crash." Rhapsody repeated, trying to memorize the names. His lips then twitched upwards. "...Why Crash?"
Sierra watched him as he
Many young gentlmen surrounded her complmenting on both her beauty and her performence. After a few minutes she slipped behind the same cutain unnnoticed. She let out her own sigh. She felt dizzy and a little warm but she shook it off when she saw Jareth."Was the performence not to your liking?"she qustioned him.
"Slow week to be honest,
"At least, it gives me time to clean some of the back," She said. It was a way of explaining why she had been back without actually coming out and saying it properly. The woman was very different from her. Dressed in a long red coat, that was such an outburst of colour compared to the antique shop. Full of white china, and then a white girl. In her white dress. Her skin was only a few shades more coloured than her stark white dress, that looked impecably clean, even though some of it was draped along the floor, obscuring the area around her feet, when she walked, it made it look a bit like she floated along the ground as opposed to lifting her feet and putting them down again.
"Sometimes, being all in white like this, makes me feel like one of the antique's myself," She joked, hoping to get a little smile out of the woman who had entered. She looked very melancholy, like she needed someone just to be nice to her, and treat her well. Though that was speculation. Kahlan was often told that she looked very gloomy, whenever she didn't have a particular expression on her face. Though she suspected that the fake smile was masking more melancholy.
Mel "Undead, if you prefer.
"Undead, if you prefer. The only of the sort I have met so far, though I have heard there are a few others. I think you would remember if you had met him." She looked at the same grave stone, noting the faded pictogram. It looked like it had been there for a long time, and, even to Melinoe, seeing that same pictogram on a stag who appeared very much alive, and was clearly not a ghost, seemed strange. It wasn't the first time she had noticed it, of course, but it was still a bit odd seeing the two side-by-side. "I suppose you have something in common. You have both lived and died and can die again. Yet Janjaweed is neither dead nor living, and if he were to die I am not sure if he would come back. It is a curious thing."

Hope
"O-oh. I...I'm s-sorry." Hope frowned, wishing he hadn't brought up the subject. His family had always been an important part of his life, even if he rarely saw them now, and he sometimes forgot that not everyone had that. That fact made it difficult to talk about sometimes. He didn't want to accidentally upset anyone. But the mention of his brothers brought a smile back to his face. "Oh, it's because...w-well I think it was because...th-the first thing he did...when he was b-born...was to...headbutt my dad." His tone was amused, though he didn't remember the incident, having just been born himself. "I only know...what m-my dad told me...'cause, well, w-we were all born...at the same time. B-but it...it suits him, anyway, if he's...still the same as I...r-remember." Then his smile disappeared again, and he sighed sadly. "B-but...Well, the others...I've seen around. N-not very often, b-but...th-they're still around...at least. C-Crash, though...I don't know...w-what's happened to him. I...h-haven't seen him...s-since we were...all fawns. I...I can only hope...h-he's okay...w-wherever he is."

His lips pursed unhappily, and he did not turn around at first. The king's eyes wandered down that long, dark corridor, settling on the open, arching window at the end. A strong breeze slithered through, whipping the stone walls with its icy tendrils of chilled air.
Eventually, Jareth turned only his head, so that she would be able to hear him when he spoke, though it meant she would be able to see part of his masked face as well.
"Your performance was exquisite," was his quiet reply. The owl-Fae stopped, then exhaled. "I'm sure there are many men waiting for you back there."

Antique. She liked the sound of it - she liked the word in general, she liked old things, she liked the white, pristine look of the place, she liked the way the shop smelled and she was starting to like this young woman, for she was friendly and although Taliene was wary around everyone these days, she was warm. But perhaps that was meant to decieve her.
Her thoughts weren't making sense.
Taliene forced a chuckle, and wished that it had been genuine - she had smiled in her head, but it would not come out properly in the real world.
"Mm." A pause. "It's a nice...shop. Store. Place."
She wasn't usually so...slow.

His ears flicked back a little, uneasy, but he pushed this feeling back down to the pit of his stomach. Lorak smiled wryly. "Curious." He paused, thoughtful, eyes pointed heavenwards for a few seconds.
"When you say 'zombie'...Is he simply that, does it change the way he feels and thinks and acts or...?"
What he was trying to ask was whether or not Janjaweed was dangerous, murderous, cannibalistic, anything like that - but Lorak was not exactly good with words.

He nodded and hummed a little in response as his newfound acquaintance -- though he wished to think 'friend' -- spoke, teal eyes never losing their spark of interest and curiousity. The stag laughed as Hope spoke of 'Crash's' birth.
"I hope he's okay, Crash I mean," Rhapsody said quietly, looking at the other with a sympathetic expression. "I wouldn't want you to lose someone like..." He trailed off abruptly, gaze set past Hope, staring into nothingness as memories flashed through his head; memories of the two deer he'd let himself get close to, memories of the two deer that he'd lost as a fawn. "...What--sorry, I just--saw something?"
"Waiting for a chance to

"So, are you looking for anything in particular, or are you just browsing?" She asked, remembering that she had to be somewhat business like. Otherwise she would never sell anything.
Mel: She shrugged, or at
She shrugged, or at least as much as a deer could. "I would not know. I did not know him before." Before he was a zombie was what she meant, of course. She would have said "when he was alive," or even "before he died," but neither of those seemed right, not for a creature who was neither living nor dead. "I do not know how he came to be what he is, either. For that matter, I know very little of his past, but it is not something that really concerns me." Talking about her "partner," for lack of a better word as Melinoe refused to call him a "mate," made her happy, or close to it, but now it was starting to make her miss him, and she wished he was here so she could curl up beside him. She stretched her legs out in front of her, resting her head on them with a longing sigh. "I think...I would like it if the two of you could meet. But that may never happen."
Hope:
Hope smiled and nodded in appreciation of the other's words. But when he trailed off, Hope blinked, and looked at his companion with a mixture of confusion and concern. He moved a little closer. "Hm? You...saw something?" His head tilted a little, and he looked in the direction Rhapsody had been looking. He didn't see anything unusual, but then he wasn't sure exactly what the stag had been looking at.
