Purple Pictographs???

One day I was running around the forest and I saw a group of deer just hanging about. I walked over to them and on the little black bar I saw some yellow pictographs... and a purple one? I was there for a few minutes and then left. The other day I saw the purple pictograph again.

What is with these purple pictographs?

The purple pictograms

The purple pictograms represent the deer who are sleeping while the yellow ones represent those who are awake. The reason you saw this pictogram vanish is because the deer who was sleeping logged out of the game.

I didn't understand what this

I didn't understand what this was talking about until I saw the comments. X3; I never saw them as purple. They just look grayed out to me.
