FAQ's of Pop's resurrection (Repost)

***********As if I could make it any more clear....READ THIS!Exclaim!!Exclaim**************

[center]While I am re-vamping her biography, this is the time to explain what is going to happen to Poplar following "The Event."

After her impending death, Poplar will be resurrected. Due to circumstances of her death, the doe will lose big chunks of her memory. Here are the things she will remember:

  • Basics like her name and how to talk.
  • How to act like a deer.
  • Her adventures in the outside world, though she will not remember the before and after.

So, at this point you can see that nowhere on the list does it say "Her past relations." This means that she will not remember anyone in the forest at all. She will essentially have to re-meet anyone she previously knew. Because of this things may get confusing for her, so bear with us. <3

Another thing that will happen to her is a lapse in her mental acuity. Poplar will essentially revert to a child-like/feral-like mindset:
  • Heightened curiosity about EVERYTHING
  • cautious when moving over open areas, will often listen for danger repeatedly.
  • complete lack of malice or other ill intent toward other forest characters. May be fearful, but not angry.
  • becoming comfortable around complete strangers rather quickly (Safety in numbers also applies)

Her physical design and pictogram will not change.

Now, what is the reason behind all of this?

As I said when the lovely Corell asked me down in the comments:
Quote:

I feel like I have failed with her. She was meant to be sweet, kind, and caring but she turned in to a real bitch. (pardon my language) Yes, it is partly due to the drama that's going on, but that's only a small part.
Because of how she acts, she misses out on a lot of opportunities to make new friends and be happy.

Blargh

Just leaving a note here for anyone who didn't see the message on my DA page.

I was in a car accident yesterday, and was the one hit in an intersection. Thankfully I'm alright (just whiplash, verified by my chiropractor) but my car is totaled. It's all been kind of a mess and I don't want to explain the situation and circumstances yet again after dealing with insurance all day...
But I just wanted to let you all know why I may not be too active for a while. Just plain not up for it and in a good bit of pain using my arms/back/neck.
I'll still be stopping in of course... just might not feel like saying much.

Hey There Everyone!

I'm really new to this-when compared to everyone else- I've only been here since around August of last year. But I didn't come onto the site until a few weeks ago.

I have to play around with the coding and everything, so forgive me if I don't catch on right away.

Also, I have no idea how to post pictures and all the ways I did try, don't seem to work, so you'll have to use your imagination while I describe Kerwin, my crazy deer.
My symbol: http://tale-of-tales.com/TheEndlessForest/register/pictogram.php?usernam...

Kerwin will probably be my only deer and he doesn't like to change pelts, antlers or masks very often.

Name: Kerwin
Age: Young adult
Gender: Male
Appearance: Kerwin has the secretary bird pelt with the real deer mask and the default antlers with the red flowers on them.

Kerwin has an interesting personality. He's hyperactive, loves to run around and jump over everything from rocks to the stream and just run at random. You know you've met Kerwin if you spent twenty or so minutes just running around in circles with him. He doesn't back down from a challenge, and takes most taunts as aggression. Despite that, he does enjoy making friends with everyone(especially if you run around like a maniac for awhile) and is a natural leader. Kerwin has a tendency to be clumsy and he doesn't quite understand that he can't run through a tree. How he survived as a fawn is anyone's guess.
Kerwin doesn't catch on to lingo as quickly(whacking his head against a tree a few times maybe?) and has a tendency to just dart off in some random at a full run. He usually loops back to keep his buddy in check, though.

If you met Kerwin, let me know so I could find you again in the forest! Kerwin has made a few friends already(at least who he thinks to be his friend)!

See you in the forest!

Sandleford (Watership Down novel setting) is in trouble

Please help by signing and sharing this, the thought of this happening actually has me on the verge of tears. Nothing is fucking sacred in my country anymore and land developers just keep eating up our countryside no matter how important it is.

Quote:
In a case of life mirroring art, the rural setting of the novel Watership Down might be destined to become a housing development.

Sandleford in Berkshire is where Richard Adams set his 1972 story. West Berkshire Council now proposes to concrete the site over, erecting 2,000 new houses, in a move that almost exactly mimics events in the novel.

Aside from being important in itself as part of the rapidly disappearing English countryside, Sandleford's literary associations could attract visitors and bring income to the area.

While the Conservative-run council claims the greenfield site is their only option, local campaigners, including the author himself, say different. They point out that plenty of perfectly adequate brownfield - previously developed - sites exist in the area.

Tell West Berkshire Council not to destroy an important part of the English countryside for convenience and profit.
