This is a story about my new fawn, Falifa. It starts from when she was born. I`ve been wanting to write a story for a while, so... Here we go
It would have been the blackest of nights, if not for the moon and the stars. They cast a silver shadow on the forest, lighting up the forest, or most of it anyway.
The moon shone particulary brightly down on a rather large oak tree. On further examination, a large stag could be seen pacing back and forth in front of it. He seemed quite worried about something.
The stag sighed for the umpteeth time. His hooves dug into the ground with worry. Was it almost over...?
The stag would have liked to go check on his mate, but he knew that he could not. After all, who else was there to guard the tree they were staying in while she gave birth? She needed peace and quiet, so her child could come safetly into the world.
All of a sudden, the wind picked up- just a bit. The moonlight shone though, a beautiful silver beam of light.
Then, the stag heard it. A soft whisper from inside the hollow tree.
"Reik."
The stag- Reik- jumped at the sound of his mates voice. He quickly padded inside the tree. "What is it? Are you ok, Katara? Do you need anything for-"
He suddenly stopped in shock. Nestled by Katara`s feet was a little fawn. The moonlight turned its light brown fur silver.
"It`s a doe." Katara whispered lovingly. She leaned down and licked her childs head.
Reik beamed with pride. His child reminded him a bit of his daughter- his other daughter. The one they had to leave behind in the forest. The forest they were going back to, if even only for a bit.
The stag sat down by his mate, and they both watched with pride and love in their eyes, as their fawn slowly opened her eyes and gazed at them.
"What shall her name be?" Reik asked his mate.
"Hmm...." Katara thought for a second, then her gaze flicked back to her fawn. "How about... Falifa?'
Reik smiled.
