Watching over (Snow shortstory)

Writing for SnowSauria for Drawing Quad as a wolf. Since you refer to Snow as an 'it' due to being a hermaphrodite, that's what I decided to go with as well. Enjoy Eye

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The muntjac was curled up on a bed of flowers. A nice dream played in its mind, and it kicked its hind legs slightly, imagining running in an open meadow. Snow called out in the dream, listening, hoping it wasn't alone.

It felt warmth on its belly, looking around it saw nothing but wildflowers in the meadow. What was causing this gentle warming?

Snow opened its eyes, half-awake. The creature looked down to see a small fawn had curled up by it, her little body pressed up onto Snow's green belly. Blinking for a few moments, Snow yawned and its head rested back on the flowers. The added warmth was comforting to it, and very easily it began to dream once again.

But this time, the fawn was in the meadow as well. She looked up to the creature before her. "Hello there! What would you like to do today?", the fawn asked. Snow was hesitant, but then asked, "Hide and seek?" The fawn's face brightened, and she darted off into the tall grass, calling, "You'll never find me!"

A few moments of silence, only the sound of the gentle breeze brushing past the flowers and grass. Snow smiled, taking a deep whiff of the air. It could smell the fawn, but only faintly. The flowers seemed to mask her scent. The muntjac followed the scent, getting stronger with each step.

"Oww!", Snow heard the fawn cry nearby, "Hey where did you come from?"

"I don't know, I got lost out here!", another voice spoke, a slightly deeper tone to it. Snow tilted its head, and peeking through the grass, it found two little fawns whispering to one another.

"Oh, you found me! You're really good at this game!", the girl fawn spoke.

On self worth (discussion topic) + my checklist

Heya again, guys. I wanted to ask about this for a while, just need some advice. I've probably covered this topic before but wanted to write it anyway.

As you probably know, I'm going through a process of recovery after Dad's passing. One of the issues I've been having lately is that I'm not proud of who I am and I just flat out think I'm worthless. I wanted to ask a few questions:

How do you see yourself positively? How can you be proud of yourself? What can you do to have pride without it being selfish or glorifying? What do you do to stay positive during the day?

Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated. And I'm sorry if I'm being annoying by bringing up non-TEF things like this, just wanted to see what you guys had in mind.

I've been told often that I need to take care of myself before I take care of others, but I'm having such a hard time accepting that. I see so many others in need and I neglect my own feelings to take care of them.

I really want to save the world, but I have to save myself first.

*long-distance nuzzles* Thank you again.

This song has made me happy every time I listen to it. I don't know what it is about it, but I wanted to share it if you're having a bad day or anything.

Gifts in the River (Cabbage Shortstory)

Writing for TheSnalf for drawing Quad as a wolf Enjoy Eye

--------------------------------------------------------------------

The sun was warm today. An early spring day. He smiled and enjoyed the warmth, glad to have a pretty day after the many cloudy ones during the winter. Cabbage carried on his own way, smiling when he heard others nearby praising the Twin Gods for such lovely weather.

He found a nice spot by the river to relax. He would go and sit at the Pond, but there were many deer over there already, so he liked this spot instead. He was near the Crying Idol, and the sound of water rushing from the stone's eyes was pleasing to him, even though the thought of a crying statue was saddening to him. The water was crystal clear in the sunlight, and Cabbage very much loved watching insects play in the water. As a dragonfly buzzed past, something caught his eye. The stag stood and looked closer to the clear water. Something was out of place, something shimmering under the water.

He stepped into the cool waters and nudged the thing with his hoof. Lifting if out of the water, he inspected the thing for a few moments - it was an old necklace, something he had never seen before. The chain was a beautiful shade of gold, and hanging on it was a golden pendant with rounded turquoise stones. It was shaped in a circle, the stones resembled a mushroom circle, making a ring on the edge of the pendant.

He lowered his head and placed the necklace on one of the forward prongs of his antlers. He then turned to the Crying Idol, asking the old stone, "Excuse me, did you lose this?" The idol did not give any kind of a sign, and the deer tilted his head. "I wonder what to do with it then?", he questioned.

He hopped out of the river and walked away, looking around for a place the old necklace should go.

Connecting with your inner spirit

I wanted to share my experiences and tips on this practice. I'm sure that some of you may have your own methods and practices toward virtually the same idea. Any help or comments are greatly appreciated, and expect additions and editing of this topic.

I've gotten to a point in my life where I look for guidance, inner peace, and inspiration. I often take personal journeys, both when I need someone to share my thoughts with as well as when I need to learn a lesson. I turn to my own spirit for this guidance, and quite often I discover that it is much wiser than I am.

How to explain what the spirit is can be difficult. Is it simply your conscience and common sense manifesting? Are you actually talking to your own soul? Do you genuinely have a guardian spirit watching over you? Or is this something that quite frankly we cannot understand? I don't have the answer there, but I can describe this the best way I can.

Find a quiet place and sit somewhere you are comfortable. If you need ambient sounds or music, try to find something relaxing to listen to.

Now imagine your deer (or if you like another animal, imagine them instead) standing right by you, being there to encourage, inspire, or even comfort you. Imagine that you and your deer/animal are in a forest or the woods, and there is a path that seems to lead endlessly (you can choose another place you find more suitable or particularly enjoy, it's entirely up to you). Walk with them, and let the conversation start. It will be kind of like a dream, just relax and enjoy the experience.

Understand that they may not have all the right answers, but they can guide you in the right direction. If at any point you get frustrated or angry, just stop, catch your breath, and then come back to them. Your deer/animal will understand, it's human nature.

Unbeatable (Rihame poem)

Writing for Rihame for drawing Quad as a wolf. Enjoy Eye

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I feel the pulse deep within the ground
A battle will soon rage, I can feel it
Antlers clashing endlessly from within
I crave it, every moment, every experience
The point where my eyes lock with my enemy's
The tension I feel before the battle
Studying his body, eager to rip it to shreds
Waiting for one of us to make the first move
Him...or me?

I spring first, antlers drawn, heart racing
He doesn't expect it, he doesn't move fast enough
I catch him off guard, my prongs digging deep into him
Oh how I love the sound of his suffering!
He loses his strength, the fire within him extinguished
I step back, studying him once more, savoring every moment
Do I finish him now, or let him suffer some more?
I approach, pressing my hoof into his open wound
His cries are like sweet music to my ears
"Pathetic, weak, disgrace to all stags...", I say
"You should have been born a doe."

And as the words of victory were spoken
I see the spectators around us
Their eyes filled with confusion, terror, and hate
Let it rage within them, let their anger flow
I have yet to find any others who could match me
I let my opponent live, I leave his side at that point
His blood staining my hoof much like a trophy
Let them come, let anyone oppose me
May the spectators see that I cannot be defeated
May the challengers fall to the unbeatable Rihame!

A Spark of Inspiration (Anjali Shortstory)

Something for Anjali doing a Quad as a Wolf artwork. Hope this is okay Eye

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I've been uninspired lately.", the stag spoke. He was bent down, praying toward the Twin Gods' statues on their hill. "I know it is much to ask for, but could you show me how to express kindness better to my fellow deer? Anything at all would be wonderful."

Silence. Maybe the Twin Gods were busy. He stood, his body radiating with the temporary white pelt from being a devotee. Anjali hoped they heard his prayer, but disappointed from not receiving an answer, he began to walk away.

He walked around, not really finding anyone close by. There were a few fawns but they seemed happy, so he didn't bother them. He moved farther, soon finding himself alone once again. Sitting in a soft patch of flowers, he took the time to rest and reflect, only listening to the sounds around him and the few thoughts that came to his mind. The sun was slowly setting on the land, the Forest becoming darker with each second that passed.

He opened his eyes, surprised to see something before him. A strange orb of light was floating a few feet away. The stag stood and approached the light curiously. As he did, he felt his body envelop in golden light. "What is this?", he questioned aloud.

"Relax, Anjali. Let us take you on a journey.", a voice spoke. Before he could ask who the voice belonged to, he vanished from the Endless Forest, shooting off into the sky within a thin beam of light.

He felt his body rush through the air, passing the land quickly. He could barely keep his eyes open, he shut them as the wind seemed to bombard his face relentlessly. He didn't know what was going on, his heart was racing. "I don't want to die!!", he cried.

Then the wind stopped as he spoke the words. "Relax, Anjali.

Raindeer, Raindeer (Toukan Poem)

Just a little something for Pegasicorn for doing a Quad as a Wolf drawing. Thanks again Smiling

I intentionally misspelled "reindeer", it's not a typo Eye

-----------------------------------------------------------

Raindeer, Raindeer
I spy you standing there
You're much more than you seem
But why do you stare?

Raindeer, Raindeer
The Earth asks you today
Crying out for moisture
Calling to you for the rain

Raindeer, Raindeer
Why do you hesitate?
Would you be so cruel this day
And leave the land to it's fate?

Raindeer, Raindeer
The sky grows dark so soon
Drops of water on my head
I respectfully apologize to you

Raindeer, Raindeer
You fulfilled your noble deed
I watch you vanish over the horizon
Until the next time we meet

Pagodas and Cherry Blossoms (Redkora shortstory)

Writing for Redkora drawing Quad as a wolf, but also because I feel like you really need some gift writing too. Enjoy

-------------------------------------------------------------------

He was observant today. He had no desire to speak, only to see, listen, and smell the Forest. He walked past the old Ruins, stopping close to the Old Oak to watch a couple of fawns run by. Silly children..., the stag thought to himself.

He carried on, taking in the sweet smells from the trees. The lovely smell of sap from the oak trees filled his lungs and made him reminisce of the Forest many years ago. His ears rose in time to hear doves calling to one another overhead. He closed his eyes for the moment and enjoyed the world around him.

Red...kora...

He opened his eyes. Did he just hear something? No, there were no others around him. He must have imagined it.

And then, something much different occurred. He got the slightest whiff of another scent in the air, only it was no longer the tree sap smell. No, this was something else. Something sweeter.

The stag followed the smell. He passed curious fawns and nameless stags, painted does and sleeping bucks. The scent was much stronger the further into the Birch Forest he went. He soon was far away from any other deer, and as he neared the the fountain upon the top of the hill, the air was thick with the wonderful smell.

There he saw something he had never laid eyes upon. Within the circle of mushrooms was a beautiful Japanese cherry blossom, the blooms on it a wonderful shade of pink. And just below the tree was a little pagoda.

A Moonless Night (Amadalia shortstory)

Writing for Graveyard drawing Quad as a wolf. Hope I got your character correct, but if there are any mistakes let me know.

I wrote this as a precursor to the betrayal, when she still had her pack. I hope this is okay.

Parts of this are graphic so be warned

-----------------------------------

The Moon chose to hide tonight. No matter. I see him in the darkness., the thoughts were quick and quiet in her mind. She cloaked herself in the shadows of the trees, her eyes were slightly illuminating. It would be the only thing that could give her away.

She stared at her foe, a heavy-built panther had taken down a wolf and was hastily feeding from the fallen. It wasn't a wolf that Amadalia knew. In fact, it was a wolf from another pack, who must have strayed from safety and met his end here. No, it wasn't anyone she knew, but it angered her all the same.

This panther was a threat to her own pack. And thus, he needed to be taken care of.

She took a step from the shadows, positioning her toned legs, ready to charge at the black creature. And at the moment he turned toward her, the werewolf sprung. She was too quick for him, her jagged antlers gouging the panther. He toppled back, managing to land on his paws, but the wounds were deep. His black fur began to stain red from the blood dripping out.

The panther snarled. Mist rushed from his mouth in the frigid air. Amadalia could understand what he was saying to her - "What in the hell are you? Are you a wolf or a deer?"

She didn't reply, but simply took a few steps toward him. She could tell he was startled, the open wounds on his side already causing him to go into partial shock. He was going to fight for his catch, he couldn't allow this to be the last meal he ate.

Damn the Moon for not being out tonight..., Amadalia cursed in her thoughts.

2nd Annual Art Request for Writing?

Okay guys, got another one of these for ya! Once again I'm obsessed with a particular topic and would love to see more artwork of it.

I'm looking for more Quad as a wolf artwork! After writing the Journey of Understanding story, I've really liked the idea of him being able to shift between a deer and a wolf, so maybe when I need inspiration from a more dangerous creature, he'd become the wolf and offer guidance much like the wolf totem.

Feel free to draw him however you'd like, and experimenting and surprises are awesome. Any pose, too - meditating, snarling, howling, just sitting, whatever! I'm literally happy with anything, and yes, he can be fully wolf or more like a wolf deer. And in return I'll write something for you. Let me know if you'd prefer a short story or a poem (or if you'd want me to surprise you) and also if you have a character in particular you'd like something done of.

If you need any more info about how I imagine him, just ask, but really I'd prefer you to create him however you think.

Thanks again, guys!
