Chapter 2
Two worlds collide.


The birds melody awakened me this ,morning along with the shine of the sun.Climbing down the ladder I incoherently brushed my fingures through my hair.Dismissing random bits of straw. I placed som feed in the cows bins,moveing along to the horses.Gathering the eggs was next in my simple routine.The hens clucked in protest as I shoed them from their nest.Taking the eggs in I noticed Ted getting on his shoes."Where are you going?"placing my hands on my hips."With brother to town for three days"he replied happily."Hmm ok give him this "handing Ted a list of supplies they needed. Ted took the paper with only a nod in agreement.Swishing past her little brother she made her way into her room where Luta was wide awake."Morning"she greeted."Hows your leg?""Better "he replied simply."Can you stand on it?'" Luta made a movement to try to stand,extending out her hand for support,Luta grasped it.The attempt was good he could stand,and there appeared to be no swelling."Hungry"she questioned.A simple nod told her yes."Come on then" she led him into the kitchen."You can sit their if you like"gesturing torwards the chair.Anna put a skillet on the stove to cook breakfast.Humming a song it was not long before she heard both her brothers renter the house.Anna imediately heard her little brother chatting with Luta boys she thought. But her eldest brothers prescence seemed to be rather stale this morning."Breakfast is ready "she said cheerfully.Putting the plates down every one started eating. Their was only a cold silence instead of gay talk around this meal.Anna still could not believe her brothers behavior.

Daddy I assume you already heard the news
Probably from moms screaming.
I can imagine the smile on your face
And the tears in your eyes

I guess you new this day would come

But thats just the way it is .
But in my heart and yours Im still a little girl.

HEYA! I just came up with a great but really tacky idea.

This is for my Divine series, particularly about certain characters in the story. If you haven't read the series, this might be a little spoiler, but I GOTTA get some opinions on this before I follow through with it!

Please read below if you have read the stories or if you don't really mind being spoiled.

So those of you who have read know that Quad has three older siblings - Una, Duo, and Trio. I've already introduced Pent as his younger brother, but with the older ones, I never really defined who they were.

Originally I was going to have them be three other characters, who never appeared in the series, ect ect ect...

But then I got the idea that a certain other three characters of mine could be them!



Caw, Blixt, and Trunks could be Quad's long lost brothers!

Obviously I might have to make a couple of adjustments to accommodate this idea, but really, what do you think? Caw, Blixt, and Trunks never had any kind of relation to Quad or each other, but what I could explain is that they had been living their own lives the whole time Quad had been living his, all of them really unaware that they were siblings.

If it sounds really cheesy, please let me know. I'd like honest opinions on this - if it sounds like it doesn't really work, then tell me and I may leave the stories alone. I just was like, "Hey, I have three deer that could be Quad's siblings!" this morning.

And that way, my six deer would all be family...I really like the idea personally.

The Artificial Deer

Zephyr awoke, her body feeling strange. Her vision wasn't so great, she felt like she was drowning...

Her eyes opened up a little more, and she realized that she really was in water! Cables and other mechanical parts were connected to her body, which floated within a tube filled with water. Her face was covered with a breathing apparatus, which kept her alive in stasis.

She tried to move her legs, and she strangely could feel them there, but...

Zephyr looked down at her body - her front two legs were missing!

She panicked at once, she wanted out of the chamber, she wanted to see what had become of her body.

And then...a small needle stuck into her neck from a little machine within the tube, and she was sedated. Her eyes closed, and all she could think about was her family...and if she'd ever see them again...

When Zephyr awoke, she was no longer in the tube, but on an operating table. Her body was mostly covered with a cloth, and her eyes were blinded by several lights that shone down on her. There were several humans around her - some stroking her back and forehead, others tinkering with strange metal appendages that had been attached to her. She didn't understand what was going on, and little by little her vision and hearing came back. She didn't struggle, she just lay there and waited to see what would happen next.

"It's ready to go.", one of the humans said. The others uncovered Zephyr, helping her to her feet. She was still drowsy from the sedative, but she managed to stand on her hind legs coming off of the table. Then they helped her move her new front limbs onto the floor. The legs made a slight 'clink' sound when they hit the ground, and Zephyr was slightly wobbly on them, but she was able to stand.

"Come here, my doe.", one of the humans said from a distance. She held a bowl of water, and upon seeing it, Zephyr suddenly felt very thirsty.

[center]He was there. Waiting for them. They would come and go: just like the little flys that would rest in him. Every time he talked, flys would come out of his mouth like a river. Some say he was made from filth itself, while others think the gods made him to "guide" lost souls, he fed on them instead.
His body was a home to filth, the smell was deadly, yet foolish little fawns still chose to come closer.

Curiousity can kill even the most mature adults in this forest. He waited, waited patiently for them to come close enough. The small bodies fell to the ground like bees that get attracted to the sweet powder in the flowers. One by one, they fell. Bowing. Smiling. Screaming for help. For their mother to come and save them. Blood, was then followed by death.

No life in his eyes, no warmth of his skin,no beating of his breast. His soul, as empty and dark as the night. He laughs at the blows of antlers and satisfaction lites up when the mother finds its child, crying for thier fawn that fell a victim to this monster. For eternity, he walks in this forest: wanting to get out.

A fawn approached him slowly, not too far away. As he got up, it was obvious this demon was not a normal sized deer. Watching, the small creature bowed politely at him. The gesture was not returened, he simply turned a blind eye to it and motioned for it to go away. For the first time, he spared one's short life. Now it was the fawns choice : should it ignore the warning it would die and be devoured into darkness, eaten by flies first. Leiwitz did not eat first, the flies did. The little one looked around its surroundings : by the time it sighted the flies and strench coming out from his mouth as he breathed heavily, silently. It quickly moved away from the big demon and ran off to its brother.
