Yes I'm bad about these again. Just enjoy. |D

Glitch?

My sister had been complaining earlier that her pelt would go back to default randomly and she didn't have anyway to restore this. I asked her if she has walked into any special areas and she said no.

I logged onto my account and shortly after lost my pelt as well. I was bestowed a new one graciously, but that one too, disappeared after a brief moment.

Is this supposed to be happening?

Little Sister's Session

Since this happened last night, I will record it now despite already having made a daily post.

Last night my baby sister took a swing at the game. I sat with her to help her out with what little I had learned. To my surprise, she rather enjoyed it. She wanted desperately to have candles on her antlers but I'm not sure baby deer can even do that-let alone how to do it. This frustrated her a bit but she found a mask she really liked and it cheered her up.

What I liked the most was how many "friends" she was making. She met three or four younglings like herself and danced with them. One of which bestowed her with a new mask, seemingly deleting the one she liked. My sister chased this one and bucked angerily at it until it ran off. I, myself, would have been very hesitant in using agressive behavoir but to each their own.

The night ended with my sister being purple with large antlers and a mask which looked like a painted plank over her face. Not my first choice, but whatever makes her happy. I hope she keeps playing. This might end up being a good way for her to relax after a long day.

Random Talk..

I can't believe I've been playing this for over a month, waiting for my baby deer to grow to an adult without knowing I had to sign in this website to make the countdown start. What an absolute plonker I am!

I love this game though, I think its really good how they've made it without a chat, to avoid any unnecessary usage. Although I think they could do with putting a few more actions & motives on as it can become rather boring after a while.

I love the graphics on the game. I like how realistic the deer sound when they are running through the forest, I like the idea of having magic to change your deer's appearance, I also like the feature where you can change into another woodland animal.

Ooh

This is only my second blog, comment & give me some tips people!
Thanks for reading.

First Session

My first session was a couple of days ago and very brief.
My friend and I were sitting at the computer and I started up the game. We beheld a sleeping deer that became a faun when I logged in. I had a human face and was colored normally. The first thing I noticed was a menu-like thing at the bottom on the screen. There were no words so I had no idea what these buttons do. I tried some out.

Fortunately I was able to recognize agressive behaviors and made a note not to use these when I came across other players. I clicked another button and my faun mooed at me. It was cute but I found the noise strange and loud. Other cries soon joined my own and I knew I was not alone. I sought out the others.

I found a group of adult deer resting on the ground, along with a couple of young ones like myself. I was given a crown of flowers somehow and my name began to glow. I freaked out because I had no idea what it meant. My friend and I were laughing in confusion. Suddenly, I was orange and black-I looked like a monarch butterfly. I was overjoyed but confused.

I logged out shortly after.

( Could someone please tell me how to take screenshots? )

Trying Something New

So I learned of this game when I sought out more work from Tale of Tales, having purchased and played The Path previously. What I saw of The Endless Forest looked interesting and when I searched for screenshots I was amazed by beautiful deer-like beings, all in different colors and patterns. I did some research.

I learned the game was an MMO and my interest peaked. Tale of Tales did an MMO? After seeing how they approached The Path, I couldn't imagine how they would approach an MMO. I continued my research. I learned the game has no goals and no means of communication and I was confused. An MMO with no dailouge? No speech? How was this going to work?

I quickly assumed the idea was to get players to communicate with each other in a more priminal manner and my theory was confirmed when I actually played. The idea is certainly a strange one, but I don't want to rush to bad conclusions about it.

I was very impressed by The Path, which I consider as a work of art, so I am now setting out to try my hand at this new game. I have generally positive ideas about it so far and I hope it proves to be just as wonderful as I suspected it to be. I will catalouge my ventures with this in a blog.

How do I go from taking so few screenshots over multiple days, to taking a ton in just 3 days??

There's a couple of IT screenshots at the end too.

The leaves had fallen so fast. A drizzle of rain was all it took for the trees to give up their color, and then soon enough snow would blanket the ground in a frozen wasteland. The thick smoke of her pipe swirled into the air, and her boots tenativley whispered on the cold pavement; free hand shoved deep in the pocket of her black wool military jacket. A quick visit to the "Alice in Wonderland" statue, and a stroll in the park always helped clear her mind. Silver eyes studied the bronze, her hand pulled the pipe away from her red lips. Contemplation.

Not long ago, a year maybe? No. Three? She had found a mini voodoo princess on the streets of the city. It seemed like mere hours had passed since they shared Thanksgiving together, with her uncle, father, and a legion of other tragedies. The corner of her lip curled to think the package would reach the child's apartment soon. Full of spooky candies, home made baked goods, and other halloween treasures. She turned her face to the west, as if hoping for a glimpse of the plane. The setting sun made her ghostly skin glow. They had left for California, no amount of resentment would change what she missed so dearly. A blondie, who cleaned up his act. And his girl; a beautiful young woman, with a tattoo of a fish. A few cards were sent out to them.

Her mind turned dust-covered pages to find a girl with curling blonde hair. White gloves, a carefree smile, and excellent taste in poetry. Ah, yes. The woman locked eyes with the larger-than-life bronze gaze of Alice seated atop a giant mushroom, and she smiled again, remembering the young woman's hunger for adventure. If she could only go back. Tea in beautiful gardens, the warmth of the sun on lace and silk, the shamelessness of giggling like children.

And finally, the immortal turned her attention to a captain with firey red hair, a taste for rum, and star-filled moonless nights.

The truth My fear (Poem)

I try to find my way in this endless forest
But recently it seems like I've been walking in circles with no clue of where to go next
I hear deer in the far distance
It sounds like it sad
Sad just like me..
Thought you needed me as much
With time I learned I was wrong all along..
I built up a perfect picture of you and me
Everything was so perfect
But I forgot the most important part
The truth..
You were not even close the image I had built in my head for so many years
It hurts my soul to say you were a stranger
And the fact was that I knew nothing about you
Every time you hit me to the ground with your hurtful words I closed my eyes
I didn't want to see
Didn't want to hear
That you put my heart through more pain than happiness
I couldn't look into those ocean blue eyes
I was afraid
Afraid to see the truth that was so clear
That in fact I didn't mean a thing to you
Not anymore I didn't
I was nothing more than a pathetic stalker..
And you just wanted me out of your life
But baby see
I've given up so you got what you wanted in the end
It's over
