It seems like there has been a big upswing in the amount of stuff getting posted here on The Endless Forest Community site that has nothing to do with TEF or Tale of Tales. I've absolutely nothing against members coming together to support one another in times of need; people being able to vent here is something I've come to appreciate and respect. There aren't many places online where people can feel comfortable enough to share what's bothering them and I love that about TEF.
However, there are hundreds, thousands of other sites where you can share your art, stories, poems, and conversations with other people. This site is for The Endless Forest, I know I for one come here to see things related to TEF. I'm not going to become some sort of content-police, going around commenting on everything that isn't directly TEF related because that's not my place. One blog where you collect non-TEF art or stories is fine in my book! A lot of people take this curtsey and I thank those that do, it makes finding what I come here to see much easier.
This isn't me telling you what you can and can't do. I know some people will assume that but I can't control what any of you do, just like you can't control what I do. It's a give and a take here on TEFc, but I'd figure that I would throw this out here and see what others thought about it. Let me know! I'm not going to be mean to you I promise, even if you don't agree with me I would love to hear why!
ps. Please don't call each other mean things ect, in the comments here. I don't want this to get out of hand or anything, if it does I might be forced to eyeroll and headshake. We don't want that.
edit: Please don't use this blog to post unrelated content that really isn't what I made it for. The title is there because that's what I've discussed.

-whimpers- Whenever things
Whenever things like this pop up I get incredibly frightened and paranoid, I just went through my log and deleted everything that could have been mistaken for non-tef including my first posts some non-tef doodles... I kept two non-tef things because one's about my pet and the other's where I've started dumping things, I'm sorry if I offended anyone by keeping them I'll delete them too if it causes a problem! ;~;
I'm just way to scared to post anywhere else as TEFc has become the only place online I feel comfortable and safe... again I'm really terribly sorry! ;~;
@Ren Moderation is what's
Moderation is what's key. You'd be totally fine with say, a thread for personal stuff and non-TEF art. A lot of people do that because it's not unreasonable to have a little thing in the corner for people to get to know you. And you can just update it when new things come along and trackers will see. No one would be upset if you did that.
@AlisonRobin:- Okay, thank
Okay, thank you that has put me in a better mood now. I've had my mouse pointer hovering over the delete button since I posted.
I'll probably set up my non-tef area better so I don't feel the need to post outside of it any more.
Sorry if this was a bit of an overreaction and thanks again, I just get so upset when I think I'm doing something wrong (was raised to believe any mistakes are unacceptable and I'll be punished for making them). ^^;;
Ren I'm sorry this made you
I'm really glad you feel so comfortable and welcome on TEFc, I wouldn't want to change that.
Agreed.

I'm bringing this up again.

Ah..I'm kind of scared to post it now. I...could post it here but I don't know if anyone would see it.
It's a site about a game
Idk guys, but since when did
Just concerning :/
There are other places to
Folks come to TEFc for TEF
It's not about shunning creativity or being elitist (although I have known the latter to be problematic before), it's about keeping content primarily related to the game. No one minds people keeping a personal blog with non-tef art, for instance. That's good stuff for getting to know each other and I think we all like to look at each others' art. But if there are frequent off-topic threads having nothing to do with the game, it doesn't really matter what's in them because they're bumping down stuff related to the game. It has nothing to do with the quality of the posts, or the amount of creativity, it purely has to do with quantity and content.

Sooo, aaa. This is very image heavy.
As few of you may know, the sever has been a butt for the past few days and hasn't let a good amount of people online. We all know you can spark an rp on this site and draw deer related things on the community, but after a while it'll clog up the community and we wouldn't want that.
So, Hadou and I decided to advertise a deer related roleplaying group that we're admins of in hopes that'd it spark your interest. It's hosted on DeviantART and we'd be glad to see you join us! This community has such wonderful characters and art and it'd undoubtedly help this group excel. So if you're itching to roleplay as a deer and don't wish to struggle with the game, please, continue on reading!
Far away in the vast range of the north-western side of the Rocky Mountains, there was a plot land known to the forest creatures as Salanfyer, and in this plot of land lived two particular herds of deer. Though Salanfyer was home to many creatures of all shapes and sizes, none stood out as greatly as the deer that resided in the area. It was said that they came from a territory , off in a distant prairie, that was decimated in a wild fire. Lead by two great leaders, Dawn and Dusk, the herd was determined to find their promise land. A paradise that would house their children and future children to come...
Though as the herd set foot in the land of Salanfyer, a dispute between past lovers arose, and caused a rift between them. With that two kingdoms were formed; The Kingdom of Ita Ut Deum and Ave Gratia Lutea.
The Kingdom of Deum, which was lead by a stag with the name Dusk, ran the herd in the way of the old. Withholding a strong belief that their gods had followed them along their journey, and had settled with them in their new found territory, the valley of Almanta. All the while, the Kingdom of Lutea was lead by a fiercely independent doe by the name of Dawn. Having left the way of the old far behind them, the deer of Lutea renounced their old traditions and developed a new form of lifestyle. Following the hoofsteps of their newly found gods of the forest with pride and a new outlook on life in the mountainside of what is to be known as Irien.
The Kingdome Ita Ut Deum was founded by Dusk, one of the leaders that brought the old herd to Salanfyer. He split his Kingdom away from the old herd when Dawn left him as dead along their journey and continued on to their new home. Although furious at her, he regretted his actions and later claimed that he had been enchanted by some kind of spirit. These claims were deemed ridiculous by his Kingdom, whom he had taught to believe only in the gods of old. Deum became an organized Kingdome with appropriate methods for training young deer, but also with brutal violence to claim high ranks. Dusk was always a warrior, and he brought this nature into his Kingdom. Deum claimed the valley of Almanta, with luscious fields not found up the mountain.
The deer here are keen on keeping old traditions alive and are known to have Latin names and are often noble and brave creatures, putting their Kingdom before themselves. They are proud, and believe themselves worthy of praise, although they aren't conceited. These deer can put up with a lot of emotional and mental strain, although it usually shows through their eyes. The deer of Deum can be very quick to accuse others of wrong, and assign blame often when the situation was purely accidental. They are very vocal about their opinions, but most have no trouble admitting when they have been wrong.
They believe in the gods of the old and can turn nasty towards those who openly deny their existence. Few deer of this Kingdom believe in Phoelden and Igur, the spirits of Salanfyer. Those that do, deem them unimportant, and often only believe in Phoelden. The deer of this Kingdom pray to these gods daily and tend to hold activities revolved around them.
The Kingdom Ave Gratia Luteae was founded by Dawn, one of the great leaders of the old herd. She brought the deer of the prairies to their new home in the mountains alongside Dusk, her mate despite the lack of support from the gods. Dawn believed they had left the gods among the wasteland of their old home from the beginning, but she wasn't vocal about it along their journey as her mate believed strongly in them, and she didn't want to spread despair. However, when she was accused to have abandoned Dusk on his death bed, she openly declared her lost faith and allegiance to the small yellow bird who had showed her their new home. She brought her supports partway up the mountain Irein, and they formed the Kingdom that lives there today.
A very unique naming system was devised from this Kingdom by mistake. After the leader named her own fawns after two words, broken and then forged loosely back together, it soon caught on and became a normal tradition. To name a fawn in Luteae, the mother first picks two words. One of these words is always a plant and the other can be either an animal or a land formation. The words are then split apart and then then placed together to create a name.
Like their neighboring Kingdom, the deer here tend to be prideful and very firm opinions, and many are not afraid to voice them. They are usually very bent on doing what is morally right, and makes the most sense. These deer aren't easily influenced or won over, although they are reasonable. Almost all deer are adept at keeping their emotions out of a technical conversation, and hidden from other deer. With the exception of their belief, which is not shared by their cousins in Deum. Partly due to the presence of a plant in their name, these deer have faith in an afterlife where their spirit is protected by this plant.
For those willing to join and try out for a place in the roleplay, the group link is here. Please take the time to read through all the journals thoroughly and submit any completed application as directed into the pending application folder.
Once applied we will look over and decide to will be accepted and help those edit their biography so they may be accepted. Any questions is to be asked on the front page. You do not have to be Picasso to join this group.
If accepted into the group, Hadou and I shall draw your newly found character for free, but only if your application was accepted and if you let us know that you're from the endless forest community.
