the forest neighbourhood - a help on finding people

Since all the deer in the forest more or less have some favourite spots to hang out... the whole forest basically has its neighbourhoods.

... and i would like trying to draw a little map of all that.

To make it clear this is should not to be a verification for any 'teretorries' out there its simply a little fun thing to see where you can go when you need to borrow a bottle of milk or a cup of sugar... or where to hold a little house party.

If you want to participite it would be cool to post your deer's favourite spots here... and see wha thappens...
...I'd try to put the forest into several areas ... different 'hoods' so to say. I would be greaful for either screenshots or coordinates : D oh... and a link to the characters pictogram (< PLEASE) and their name, yep. I will not add those who dont provide a pictogram link.

if you dont know how to get the link, copy the following and add the pictogram username behind the '='. You need to put it in correctly, means if you have a capitalized 'A' in the middle it needs to be capitalized there as well and so on...

At the moment i have a map

It's for free use but only on the community site.
You may alter it, but keep my credit in it!

Oh if you find some important place i forgot, tell me and i add it.
Edit: in adition to that... i will not ad any 'xy-home' or 'xy's-tree-that-he-owns-and-no-none-else-is-allowed-there'
the forest has no terretories. just places.

My next step is to put on the pictos from the 'adress-list' below, but for that i need an entire day of free time.. which are quite rare at the time...

Those who have no 'adress' yet (aka coordinates) will get them when i place the pictos on the map. For now this list is just a 'scrab' for me.

Also here a little thing open for discussion... i hope people actually read this.

I am really against linking charater names to places in the map, or actually anywhere. No tree belongs to anyone so no one has the right to put thier name on it.
(I also would prefare if you people wouldn't do this when pointing out your chars favourite spot. As i mentioned above, i dont want to justify and belongings here. i just want a directory to find people more easily.)

But...

there is 'Run's memorial'.
I actually would like to put it in the map since... well it has a whole different meaning than any petty terretorial crab thats put up here at times, and in my opinion it is something that deserves to be in.

Opinions?

Re: above, agreed. "Officially" naming places after characters could become problematic. Run's Memorial doesn't have any relation to that though imho and I wouldn't mind if it was mentioned on the map like that.

Also, could you by any chance change my username on your list to my deer's name? She's called La.

As for territories, any implication of ownership of land seems a bad idea, I commend you for keeping stuff neutral. That said, I've missed out on the complete significance of Run's Memorial but I assume it represents a dead character and functions similarly to a grave site? Maybe you could mark it on the map with the past character's pictogram in a special color to note that it's special and important.

aaaand no. it actually reaches far more than that. if it was 'just' a characters grave then i wouldn't put it in... since there are thons of them.

It is actually a memorial for a passed away member of the community, Run, what has in my eyes a far different weight.

On special occasions there can be seen a single star hanging down and a circle of candles with a dandelion in the middle ( was it? It had been so long since i last saw it... please correct me if i'm wrong)

Also, is there a general category for any of the flower fields (besides poppies)? I've noticed some deer tend to migrate between the patches of purple flowers.

HB mentioned the hill on the other side of the ruins should be in it too, at the moment it lacks a name though (and the ones we came up with where... not fitting i guess.)

aah aaand i dont get your next question... no there isn't.
there are the blue flowerfields, yes... but of them are so many ... i actually didn't want to put each and every single one of them in.
I know some deer prefare some over others but, some deer also prefare some trees over others. The only thing i wanted to use for seperation are the landmarks. What exactly is at the location each char has... wont be written anywhere. the list is still just scrab for me, in the end everyone will just have a location that's put under a landmark, and nothing more. I just still haven't found the time to examinate the coordinates of those who just gave a screenshot.

also the reason why the poppyfield is a special case:
there is actually just one real poppyfield, and two poppypatches near that one tree, and the idol, that's why they are mentioned explicitely.

Well it makes sense that you'd rather add landmarks. I meant add all the purple flower fields as one collective thing for deer who hang out in them. It's k though, I think it'd probably be cluttered to add the flower patches together.
