OHHHH I believe I saw that herd. I was the only fawn at the time and there were two does (which one I befriended) and a stag (that was kinda just walking around and ignoring me)

And are fawns allowed in? They do have real deer pelts (but fawn versions!)

TEH is basically only fun when everyone joins.
The first time we gathered in-forest, there was 13+ members online.

TEH doesn't really have a purpose... I just thought it would be an amazing sight to see a herd of real deer run around in-game.
It's a place to be OOC, too, and just get away from your character.
And it unites everyone... And believe it or not, it's really fun. (:

And of course fawns are allowed. (:

I love the music, but do you think you could make the player bigger? It's just on big screens like mine, it's almost impossible to click the pause button, and I would like the option to pause it without getting angry at it xD'

Would there be room to play a juvenile male deer, and have the beluga antlers to show this? Because I think it might be neat to have this as an option to distinguish you as an "omega" deer so to speak. Hanging back, bullied and chased off now and again if one is too close to the leader's bitches does (realism ftw)... It would be some variety and hella fun, I'd love to play a role like that.

What do you think?

We already have variety in size.
I mean, I'm okay with it as long as it isn't the trumpet horns or anything too unrealistic.

And I hope you don't mind me shoving ideas here rather than talking through Yahoo; here I figure people can read and debate it if they don't like it =)

Idea 1:

If we do allow the great white antlers, what about only the current leader being allowed to wear them as an optional thing? This would mean:
a) Sticks out, easier to follow when the herd moves rather than to rely on finding a pictogram in a sea of same-looking deer.
b) Lets players (TEH or not) know by sight that this person is the current leader without having to check the community site.
c) Doing this and making the great whites purely a symbol of who is the leader will also get rid of the feeling that people wearing the great whites are more dominant in the herd game than the default antlers. The Herd is about deer behaviour after all, not who's rack is bigger (pffft sorry, couldn't resist *is hit*)

Reason for all of the above is that the great whites are more desirable as antlers, and I'd be worried about everyone deciding they'd want to wear them... And if everyone gets a turn as the leader, everyone will be able to wear them at some point. If we went with this, we could explain it similarly to how real herd ranking works:

Great White = Symbol of the Lead Stag; An optional symbol of who is the current Leader; only when it is your turn as Leader of The Herd can you choose to wear them.
Defult = Stag
Beluga = Juvenile Stag; an antler choice for those who wish to play a submissive, lowest-ranking male in the herd.
Noe = Doe

xD I really don't want to complicate TEH, because simplicity is part of it's brilliance. However, using something simple like basic antler choice like this might make it easier for people to understand how to behave like a real deer? I don't know _D_ *flees*

Edit: Sorry, but I do have a few more questions...

1. We would have to wear the real deer mask, right?

2. In Winter, would the deer pelts change to permadevout? I have so much trouble getting it for my deer.

3. What is the fawn's role in the herd?

4. Should we be able to use the default pelt too since it's real deer?

5. What ideas do you have for the pelts changing in different seasons, and possibly making the stag's antlers fall off during some special season so they wear Doe Nubs?
