The wind rustiling in the trees
A familiar sound
Along with the rain pounding on the lake
The birds taking shelter
In the nest
Other animals hiding
Or seeking shelter
But me
I stand in the open
Feeling the rain lightly pound at my skin
I feel the rain breeze
And I smile
A calm and peaceful sensation
Overcome me
It can not be helped
The sound of thunder
And the sight of lightning
Is definitely thrilling
There is nothing like it
The only thing you might dislike
Is getting wet
As for me I dont care
For its all part of the experience
Of something uncontrollable
Something beautiful
And a part mothernature.
An experiance that leaves you feeling breathless.

Chapter 3
Something You can never tame
The sound of Midnight's hooves pounding the ground were a melody of comfort to Anna. Her comfort did not last long as she spotted colonel Mile's waiting on on her door step."Dang it she muttered" she could not turn back for colonel Miles had already spotted her.Waving he shouted "Hello". To only be polite she waved back in recognition."Come on boy "she whispered to Midnight as she nudged him forward.
"My lady I dare say you get more beautiful with each passing moment"extending his hand to help her down. " Colonel Miles your words of flattery can often make a person think more highly of themselvels than they ot." she made her remark while getting off Midnight without Mile"s help.
He laughed at her words" This stallion of yours seems a bit of a handful for a lady like you". "Midnight lets no one besides me ride him. And if he does I would consider that person to be someone whom Id love cause he must be a pure man,but no one ever can ride him with out his approval." she stroked his nose."Hmp he cant be that hard to tame" he grapped the reins and jumped on Midnights back.
Least to say Midnight was unhappy,he tolerated Luta only because of Anna. Anna yelled at Miles get off him. But Midnight made sure his ride was short. Bucking as hard as he could and as fast as lightning Miles was thrown. Anna had to cover her mouth to keep from laughing.Rubbing his rear and muttering curses under his breath Miles staggered to right himself. But Anna gained her composer before he did.Moving forward she said"How dare you do this to my horse"as soon as she was within range wham she slapped him."I was only trying to win your heart"he tried sweetly . "You could never win my heart for it has to be given and not taken. And I would never give it to such a man who treats Indians like slaves and women as trinkets that can be throwns away." she aimed a kick at his shins."But I.. " he stammered trying to approach her .

Whispered words
Of little birds song
Are great joys to hear
If we but stop and listen closely
To what they have to say
O little birds,little bird,
Perched in yonder tree
Speak louder or come closer
I would love to hear all of which you've seen
If only I could speak your language
My head would be filled of stories
Or would you not speak
And quietly fly away
For Im sure some horrors of wars
Are better left unsaid
To see such things are truly unbearable
Least to say of all sad
To see such bloodshed
Slain by the hands of man
But could have been stoped
But with just a few simple words
O little birdie if only I could see inside your mind
That would at least ease my curious mind.
But for now sing your songs
And let me hear the melody of mother nature.

At a time
When the days were peaceful
Yet not always far away from war.
Two individuals in time fall for one another.
The womens parents disagree
Along with all the whites
For they can not understand why
Why fall in love with a savage like him
But she could not see a savage
For in her eyes he was the man she loved
His tribe
With wary eyes allowed her to live
Treating her as s slave
Yet slowly growing to respect and like her
Even in the end she is treated as one of their own.
Some say she betrayed her people
But in her heart
She only stayed with the man she loved
And gained a new family with new people she loved.
It is true she gave up her previous life
But now she is truly happy
For she has found her true love
It is the same with him
For he dares not even imagine his life without her.
At night he holds her close
During the day he guards her carefully
But in the end they would sacrifice their lives for each other
If in the moment there was a time
For you see
True love supasses all tests and all boundaries.

For it was wasted
Give it all back
For all of it was a lie
The smile and the laughter
Did not mean a thing
To you
But to me they meant everything
More than they should
To have given something
As prescious as my heart
Was foolish
Because you never meant to protect it
Thinking back your embraces were cold
Your kisses were hesitant
You never meant any of it
And Im supposed to be a fool
For playing along
With the lies you told me
While I gave you eveything
You gave nothing back.
You said our love was pretend
Not real
Well this pain is real
Im real and so is my heart
Its not a toy
That can be tossed in the air
Accidentally letting it fall to the ground.
How could I have fallen for someone like you
To me it shall remain a mistery
But all I want is to erase these memories
Or go back in time to stop myself
From fantacising of what would never happen.
One minute you said I love you
But the next you say sorry but its best if separate.
Crying,why is it that I can not regret seeing your smile
Now I wish I could hate you
But yet I cant

Chapter 2
Two worlds collide.
The birds melody awakened me this ,morning along with the shine of the sun.Climbing down the ladder I incoherently brushed my fingures through my hair.Dismissing random bits of straw. I placed som feed in the cows bins,moveing along to the horses.Gathering the eggs was next in my simple routine.The hens clucked in protest as I shoed them from their nest.Taking the eggs in I noticed Ted getting on his shoes."Where are you going?"placing my hands on my hips."With brother to town for three days"he replied happily."Hmm ok give him this "handing Ted a list of supplies they needed. Ted took the paper with only a nod in agreement.Swishing past her little brother she made her way into her room where Luta was wide awake."Morning"she greeted."Hows your leg?""Better "he replied simply."Can you stand on it?'" Luta made a movement to try to stand,extending out her hand for support,Luta grasped it.The attempt was good he could stand,and there appeared to be no swelling."Hungry"she questioned.A simple nod told her yes."Come on then" she led him into the kitchen."You can sit their if you like"gesturing torwards the chair.Anna put a skillet on the stove to cook breakfast.Humming a song it was not long before she heard both her brothers renter the house.Anna imediately heard her little brother chatting with Luta boys she thought. But her eldest brothers prescence seemed to be rather stale this morning."Breakfast is ready "she said cheerfully.Putting the plates down every one started eating. Their was only a cold silence instead of gay talk around this meal.Anna still could not believe her brothers behavior.

I can imagine the smile on your face
And the tears in your eyes
And the worry in your heart
Well daddy
Your little girl has fallin in love
I wish I could see you now

Hes an honest and gentle person dad
He works the hardest he can at his job
And he makes your little girl happy
You once said no one would be good enough for me
But in my opinion I think your a little biased
Because I think we both deserve each other.
The wedding will take place in three months
And I hope you will be there to give me away.
No matter what happens in this world
Im still your baby girl
But its time to test the waters
And see how far I can swim.
I guess you new this day would come
But you did not want it to come so soon
Well daddy I did not expect to fall in love
But thats just the way it is .
But in my heart and yours Im still a little girl.

There is no where to run
No where to hide
