Travels in a Foreign Land

*bows head* It has been days, but it feels like years. I have come to the place my source calls "The South". The south of what? That I may never know. But I do know that outside the Forest, another world is awaiting.

My travels have been nothing like the first. I came to a lake today. A very large lake, much larger than the Pond. The first thing I noticed? The smell of rotting fish. I looked around to see a very large fish half eaten on the shore. Before I saw a few buzzards fly away from the same area before I approached. The smell was unbearable, but I managed to sink the fish so that the smell wouldn't be as strong.

There I examined what this world was like. The water was murky, but otherwise glossy. Dozens of dragonflies and damselflies flitted about. I looked out from shore into the shallows to find little fish skimming the red bottom. I looked to where I had sunk the dead fish and saw a tree with a few scraggly flowers clinging to the branches. There I saw two butterflies, one yellow, one black, and both very big. I kept my eyes on them, as they fluttered about the tree. The yellow one looked much like a monarch, but without that much black. The black one had faint red tips on its wings. I had never seen such butterflies.

It was peaceful here. It made me forget about my homesickness, if only for a few minutes. I watched as the water lapped. Vessel stood from afar, gazing at the water, thinking as usual. And Fulu sat down to lean against a tree, and watched the herons and geese fly. I just kept watching the butterflies. It seems that even in unknown lands, we can't help but keep up our habits.

AN EPIC STORY ~ CHAPTER FOUR - finished and illustrated!

Quad opened his eyes. He layed still for a moment, waiting for anything, and nothing came. He sat his head up and brought up the courage to examine this unfamiliar and strange environment

"Whe-where am I?"

He was surrounded by a giant wall covered in green moss. It smelled oddly of mold, and the air was a sticky mass of smog. He was laying on a thick blanket of wet leaves, and he realized the part of himself he had been laying on was soaked to the bone. With an effort, he hoisted himself onto four feet and shook off the water. He... was he in a sort of cage?

"Hello! Is anyone there?" He called out. His voice echoed through the space, dissapearing into the air. "Hello?!"

Suddenly, he heard a noise behind him, and turned around. There, as quickly as it had come, was a small fawn. It was covered in dirt, and there was an oddly shaped dot under his left eye.

Quad went over to the little thing, and sniffed it. Then it opened its eyes. It turned its head very very slowly to Quad, who stood there as still as ice.

"Where am I?" The fawn spoke, and Quad recognized it to be a female voice. It coughed and shivered.

"I... I dont know" Quad admitted softly, and helped to nuzzle the fawn to its feet. It stood on very shakey legs. Quad thought it best to sit down then, and let the fawn lean up against the mossy wall. He decided it would be best to gather up as much information as he could.

"What is your name, little fawn?"

The little thing looked up, and coughed. "My name is Sykora. Do you know where Martisol went?"

"Umm... no, sorry" Quad said gently to the fawn. Why was he and this little fawn together in a sort of plant-filled chamber? The little fawn sneezed, probably from the mold. "Are you okay?"

"Yes" Sighed Sykora, although she looked far from it. "I'm tired though... what happened?"

Ribbons - a poem by Fayne

Colorful and soft and sweet,
ribbons hide what's underneath.
The heartfelt wounds, the sinful deeds,
disguised by strands of pink and cream,

For, if unwrapped, a forlorn tale
will peek beneath the pretty veil.
It won't take much for lies to fail;
beware the ribbons - they're simply frail.

Whipped up in the car on the way home. C: I have to go now, but I'll be back at 7 or so.

Aftermath - a poem by Loop

I was too slow
to keep him here -
I couldn't keep you close,
my dear.
The twisted heart
inside me screams
of hopeless love
and broken dreams.
I'm lying here -
lost, cold, alone,
with not one friend
to take me home.
I've closed myself
to stop the pain.
I won't be feeling this
again.

---
From now on, Loop's decided not to love. e_e What a nub. I suppose that's what comes from being hurt.
(Still love you to the ends of the earth, Squeege. Laughing out loud)

Waterwalker Ghost

Playing as Ghost today, I was jumping then accidentally jumped right towards the river.
The funny thing is instead of falling, I ended up jumping through the air above the water then eventually fell closer so it looked like i was walking on water! I heard that it is possible to walk on water but ive tried and failed. I've also heard its possible to float or levitate. How can you do that?

Sweet twilight...<3

Hehe...how long has it been twilight?

*nuzzles the bats*...

Sweet sister, how I wish you could see it...it's beautiful! The chirping bats, the soft ribbits of the little froglets...

Ooh, and I see the rainbow you have spoken of upon the yonder shore!

*nibbles at some water grasses* My human told me that she feels no one can see me. That's good, because I'm still too shy to show myself...but I shall, in the next few days...

*looks up at the sky*...but I can understand why sister is so distraught...it does get lonely, for I cannot speak the language of dove, bat koi, or flutter...

I wish that so many of you didn't anger at her for being sad...

...*tilts her head towards the little deer, half-smiles, and lets her head fall loosely into the water, looking down, letting it splash into her eyes*

*dries her chin off on her pelt*...

---

(if you end up seeing and identifying her in the forest somehow...please don't reveal her identity anywhere JUST yet...okay?

thanks, heh...)

1st Entry

Jumping a bit around, looking whats going on.
Theres no real manual for this game, so i guess most of the things are based on trial & error...
