Ribbons - a poem by Fayne

fayne's picture
Colorful and soft and sweet,
ribbons hide what's underneath.
The heartfelt wounds, the sinful deeds,
disguised by strands of pink and cream,

For, if unwrapped, a forlorn tale
will peek beneath the pretty veil.
It won't take much for lies to fail;
beware the ribbons - they're simply frail.
