HISTORY:
Rihame first lived in a forest full of life and tranquility, until wolves with knashing teeth and bloody hearts and tongues took and captured his family, leaving rihame to survive on his own. Rihame never knew he was ever destine to be alone his whole life, but for the love of his friends and the soal of mother nature was he ever able to survive the harsh climates of the world.

BELIEFS:
Rihame will never believe that another deer will be better than him. For his father has said that one who has pride in his heart will gain victory over the kindness of defeat.

Breathe in the pain and suffering.

This is the practice of tonglen.



A book I have been reading lately called The Places That Scare You by Pema Chodron is one of the first Buddhist books I've been reading. It's a great book, it has some great advice on overcoming suffering and ultimately being a better person. The goal of the book is to help you let go of your problems and come to a balanced nature, where you learn to pray for everyone to be free from suffering - your family, your friends, those neutral to you (people you don't really know), your enemies, and yourself. I've learned quite a bit from this book and wanted to share one of the meditative practices with you. This is only a little about the practice, which is explained very well in Pema Chodron's book.


Tonglen literally means "sending and taking" in Tibetan. It is essentially the practice of taking in the suffering and pain experienced in the world and converting it to peace and happiness. When you inhale, you reflect on what is troubling you, and then you release it, and as you exhale, you reflect on the good things in life. The process helps you realize that everyone suffers, and more importantly, it helps us realize the important things in life that make us happy. We realize that we take things for granted and that there are many pleasures that we enjoy. Then try practicing tonglen for someone close to you, someone who might be going through a difficult time. Breathe in their pains, troubles, suffering, and then breathe out peace and joy to them. Send them the positive thoughts.

Chapter 1:

In a small field, a litter of pups being watched by their parents played. One particular pup was practicing. Practicing for something no wolf has done before.

Away from his siblings, the pup sighed. Why do you think you can do this? It's ridiculous. I'm hopeless. He thought. The pup looked up to see a raven flying though the air. The bird could feel the breezing winds as it soared, glided, flew.

The pup would never give up. He can't now. The pup climbed on a rock, and jumped... he felt the wind fly under his belly... his fur flying though the wind... he was about to close his eyes when- THUMP! The pup landed on the hard ground. Well, he failed this time. He could do this... the pup felt it... So he climbed on the rock, and right before he jumped, he heard his name.

"Tuari!" His mother called.
"Tuari! Where are you?" His mother peeked though the bushes, and found him on the rock. "There you are!" His mother exclaimed.
"Wait, have you been jumping off that rock again?"
Tuari nodded. "Yes, I have."

"How many times do I have to tell you, Tuari? How many times have I told you to stop jumping off things? You'll hurt yourself!" Mother said.

"I know, mom. But I can do it! Watch this!" Tuari gave his rear a little wiggle, and jumped off.
"Wait, Tuari!" The other pups had came to watch.
"Guys! Look! I'm doing it! I'm actually-" THUMP. Tuari landed on the ground.
"Ow..." The pup saw a red oozing liquid gush out of his paw. He felt so humiliated! All of his siblings were laughing at him. Monkaushka, one of Tuari's brothers, walked up to him while the pups walked away.

"Tuari! You got a cut!" Mother squealed.
"Don't you ever jump of a rock again, or you will be in big trouble, young wolf. Now come on, my sons and daughters. It is getting dark out and now we shall go to sleep."

All pups groaned, but Tuari sighed. No one would believe him. He could do it.

I can get really bored sometimes and do crazy things... I love wolves, art, and video games. I like fitness too, but I'm stuck in my house all day... I'm very quiet in real life, but on the internet... Well you see how out going I am? I guess thats because I don't have to talk...

I've been on here a while, a few months I think, however I'd never been able to get the TEF game working D: but I have new and faster computer so luckily it's working fine now. But as I'm not used to the buttons if I press one but accident and forget what it means then I am soooo sorry! :') It was my first day today and I enjoyed it alot and lot's of people was saying hi and things so thank-you for that. the symbol is over my head and everything but no deer show up! AND the little square box with the dot in it that you click to bring up the network menu thing is a box with an orange dot! Not red for not connected and not green for connected!
