[ you are being watched ]

[=10]

In the half-light of the dying moon, you are being watched. Your high heels click on the cold pavement you walk upon; a mantra that tells you to go ever-faster as your skin begins to prickle. There it is, that forgotten instinct. You are being watched, and you know it. Isn't that the most frightening part of it all? You don't know where I am.

Quietly, you tell yourself that there is no-one there - and for all you know, there might not be! Perhaps your insecurity and fear is just kicking into overdrive, spurring your imagination onward. These thoughts run through your mind, too; I can see them, the little electrical currents that flash on and on and on through the brain. But then, predictably, you grow doubtful once more.

I make a deliberate noise; a subtle cough, carried by the wind and the stars. I see sweat on your brow as your clicking heels quicken again; I see your tongue flick out nervously over your lower lip; I see your eyes, so wide and perceptive, and a beautiful shade of terrified. Whyever do you wear that mask of false products and deceit? Your natural visage is much more appealing.

Sadly, that is the last thing on your mind. I move quickly; still watching, my eyes never leaving you. And not once but twice, you whip your head around and look straight back at me. But in your fright, you do not register my gaze, and turn back around, fast walk turning to a speedy trot. And then when my speed quickens, something snaps in you, and you flat-out run.

Your heels almost burn the pavement as you flee, handbag dangling dangerously at your side, hair falling from its neat bun and cascading down your shoulders. I, unlike you, do not need to watch where I am going. The stars are the ones that carry me; the wind is the one that guides me.

Dear Little Red Deer...

You don't even know how valuable your approach to Toya was today. The heart was heavy, but then found purpose.

It was nothing short of a great privilege to be blessed by your company, and to have the honour of ensuring your safety and comfort.

For it was you who brought comfort, and for that we are deeply grateful.

Be well. Sweet dreams.

Your Deer in Another Animal Form

Have you ever wondered what your deer would look like in another animal form? I will draw your deer as another animal, with the same pelt, markings, mask, etc... Also, if you want the animal to have antlers or not (etc, a wolf with your deer's antlers or something), let me know.

Please tell me what animal you want your deer to be and provide a picture (in color) so I know what your deer looks like. Please note that I can't do all the pelts/masks/antlers very well so they may suck.

First five get their pictures. If five have already requested and you want one, you will have to wait for the other five pictures to get done. Once all five are done I will post them all at once, so when yours is finished, it might not show up right away because i'm getting the others done.

To be a Fawn...

The first day I awoke in the forest was the best day that's ever happened to me. Fresh air filled my lungs and brought me to life as I wandered around investigating what my new home had to offer. It was fun to adventure around and find all the great sites. I visited the playground first and found myself another fawn to play with until it was time to go our seperate ways. Saying goodbye was difficult to me on that day because I knew that I'd have to be alone for another long while. What I didn't know is that I wasn't alone. I spotted some adult stags that hung around two beautiful idols that gave me a warm feeling when I stared at them. They seemed inviting and comfortable to be around so I decided to take a nap. I had a dream about the idols and found that they were the Gods of the forest. They'd created everything in my new home and because of that I had a wonderful time in the forest. To thank them I bowed while facing the idols and continued my journey to the other wonderful sites. There were so many sites I didn't get to see before it was time for me to rest for the night but I knew that I needed proper rest in order to investigate the remaining sites the following day. I never knew that it'd be so fun to be a fawn until that day was over.

Could I ask you a little, little, size=5 favour?

It's not relevant and doesn't deserve big attention, but it irritates me when I'm obliged to use stupid browsers or small devices to access the community.

Please, please, please avoid sizing body text bellow 10.*
It's only an inconvenience. I never see any advantages in using it. (if you do, tell me.)

Public computers are likely to have horribly slow browsing. That's a fact. Zooming and dragging only gets it worse, if the page is full of moving content or CSS it can actually freeze it.

Copy-paste doesn't copy all the text effects and MS Word took longer starting up than IE's refresh.

In apple products you have to practically "drag-zoom-drag" some 10 times every time you change page and many cellphones can't zoom at all. Mine zooms twice; text under size 10 looks like smashed ants on the screen to my myopic eyes.

*With this I mean the main text of the blog or comment, of course the timid paragraph is a classic that I don't want to private anyone from, however when I only want my main text to fit better I never go under size 9. Think of the others, people.

Thank-you :)

Let's RP!

Peirce woke up to the sound of a crow cawing above him. He slowly rose his head up and mooed, "Go away you stupid bird!" The crow just circled above him, mocking him. Annoyed, Peirce got up, and pain flooded over his body. Peirce walked away from the crow and plopped down to the ground. Everywhere on his body hurt. His wounds stinged with pain and some of his wounds were so bad that sometimes they would bleed. Peirce moaned in pain and fell back to sleep, but heard the crow cawing again. The young stag threw a rock at the bird, and it fell to the ground. Peirce's heart seemed as if it stopped. Was the crow dead? Peirce never wanted anything to die, and now, did he just kill an innocent bird? Peirce sighed in relief when he saw him breathing, get up, and fly away. Moaning in pain again, Peirce banged his head down and fell asleep, only to be awaken again by the sound of a deer. Peirce looked for the deer, but he could not see it. He heard the sound again. "Who are you?" he moaned. "Leave me alone."

The Fall of the Islander (shortstory)

Warning, graphic and violent content Rock Hound related

Three of them surrounded the old stag. His body quivered, not of fear, but from the many years that seasoned him. He took a step back, looking deep into each of their eyes. Red, yellow, and blue glows returned looks at him, though their ghostly stares were cold and deep.

He stopped, and they stopped, their skulls drooling infection with deep anticipation. The flesh was right before them, they wanted to sink their fangs in so badly that they thought for a moment they had tongues to taste meat once again.

Caw was calm, but he knew this would be a difficult fight. He was more angry than anything. "Three on one, eh? Well, you appear to be wolves. What happened to the pride and honor you had?", he questioned them. He didn't know if they could understand his words, but he ceased his retreat and stood his ground.

The rock hounds reacted, the red-eyed one approached while the other two stayed behind. "Come on! Come on!", the old stag's grass-like antlers were aimed at the approaching predator. Then the rock hound lunged and attacked, it's teeth grasping Caw's head, penetrating deep into his skull. The creature's strength shattered his skull, the old stag's head bleeding immediately. He felt the thick black infection grow in his wounds. He already felt dizzy and his head was in terrible pain.

He turned just in time to see the yellow-eyed rock hound had rushed toward him, knocking him down and biting his belly. The blue-eyed joined in, trying to open him up with precise nips to the stomach. Caw had just enough energy to kick at the yellow-eyed one's skull, able to knock out the yellow crystal within it's skull. The rock hound gagged like it was suffocating and collapsed motionless.
