The Tale of Nimble Deer

A friend of mine shared this with me, it's a 1922 book she knew about a heroic deer. She said it is similar to "Winnie the Pooh" in style.

Deer Patrons: an ongoing series of art and stories.

Inspired by patron Saints and assorted mythologies, I've started to play around with ideas for what the patrons of Endless Deer would be like. This blog will contain art and short stories featuring these entities. If you have an idea for a patron saint feel free to mention it! Laughing out loud

Hello

It occurs to me that I am horribly rude. Here I come, just flailing myself into the internet nether that is the endless forest and not once did I think to say hello.

I pondered joining this site for quite a bit, pondered it harder after I saw a few blogs and posts, especially since the first thing I actually witness on here is a user actively sabotaging others. Not a very encouraging atmosphere but I moved on to look at other blogs and let us just say, I was re-encouraged.

So, here I am. I hope to have a fun experience here and so far all of you seem very welcoming. I appreciate that. I also like the fondness for art all of you express. I never really tried putting things I draw online as I have yet to really get the hang of a tablet and I have no scanner(as I'm sure some have noticed with my cellphone photos, sorry about the shoddy quality there), but the friendly response I have gotten so far is wonderful.

And there I go rambling. Really, I'm just trying to say hello and thanks for all the kind words.

I'm sorry I'm not strong today

I promised myself today that I wouldn't cry
But it's an emotion I can't control
I would gladly die
Just to see you alive

2 years to the day
Since you were so cruelly taken away
This day haunts me like no other
I wish to see you
Beside me and my mother
The two people that are near and dearest to my heart
This will never change

I feel your prescence but it still doesn't prevent me from shedding tears
Time has healed little
And coping is all I can try to do

I miss your smile your laughter
I miss you darling big brother.
This human separation is painful to bare
And all I can do is take life minute by minute

Today I can't hold back the memories
The tears they overflow
This anniversarry is planted deep within my soul
For it won't allow me to be strong
I break down
At the memory of the call.

Darling brother I love you
And wish your life hadn't ended is such a way

To the readers of the community I wish to express my sorrow
I'm sorry you must witness the greiving of a survivior
But today it seems I can not be strong,I apologize if you dislike my prescence here in this grieving time.

Addicted

I think I spend too much time in the endless forest and on this site, while nothing really happends. therefore, I'll try not to be here so much and instead do other things, like take a walk, paint or other things. I know everyone have something they are addicted to, but it can also destroy life.

Haha, and I know that when I get Pokémon white (or Grey if it may come) I'll be addicted to it. If actually feels like I am just waiting for it.

The Emperor of Night (for Auxentius)

This is a gift for Auxentius, about The Emperor.

The Emperor of Night
He weaves through the forest,
Piercing the night with bright screech.
Fireflies scatter at his approach
And rise to reveal the moon of his face,
The icy space distance of his eyes.
Ruler of night, emperor of dusk:
His hoofsteps make the sound of beating wings
And leave a blood-red trail of feathers
At dawn, the border of his realm.

Chest Fur?

I've noticed that... the deer in the forest have very big PUFFY chests.

Anyone notice that too? Or is it just me?
