I awoke to my annoying sister Mary's prattling.I groaned and placed my pillow to drown her out.
At least it worked until she forcefully pried it out of my grip and away from my head.
"Get up you lazy girl the Colonel is visiting today,and I will not have you disgrace me in front of him"her voice was like the hissing of a snake threatening and laced with venom.

"How about you do us both a favor,and help me sneak out.That way I won't be an embarrassment to you,and I won't have to listen to old war stories"I was practically whinning my offer, she could see however the benefits of me ridding off for the day into town or to the meadow to escape.

Watching her face as she pondered I noted the sour look and discomfort before she answered.
"Somehow and don't ask me how or why but the Colonel wishes to meet you,it seems father would often talk about you and he seems to be curious"she said with distaste.


Rolling my eyes I start to dress for the day,or rather Mary dresses me."If I remember correctly father did not seem to like the Colonel morals "I said implyingly.

The last 2 are technically from the 1st of this month, but it was only like 20 minutes into the day, so I still count them as the night of the 30th. Hope that makes sense.

I'm dying to play the game... Its just that my computer keeps crashing because it is a full-screen game.

On a side note: I wasn't trying to turn this into a discussion of what is Right and what is Wrong. I was just merely going on a rant about the Rules of a Group on DA. More specifically the "You cannot change your characters without the permission of a moderator." one.

I bring this up because I was browsing through my old Gallery on DeviantArt and talking with my friend about things that some people were saying. Apparently in a group that she is in, she brought up the topic of referencing from a Doll. And the people in said group went on to say that "it is only copying and what not"... which made me roll my eyes.

An artist, in any form of the world will admit that they reference things. I reference for poses, in my picture of Leandros I referenced for his pose and for the many skulls that adore his features. In art class my teacher told me to bring things in to REFERENCE from and draw them as we see them. If referencing was 'copying' then why would art classes use real life naked models and have you draw from them? And then it is stated that you need permission from a moderator to CHANGE YOUR OWN CHARACTER! I'm sorry but...
1) It's my character
2) I don't need your fucking permission to change it...
3) It's MY Character!!

Anyway off of that subject... I would like to share with you all... how much I have evolved in my artwork over the years. This involves the evolution of my character and persona Shadow at first, before 'she' changed.

Very first picture of Shadow EVER... way back in 2004. Jesus did I actually draw like that? Boy I sure did... no sense of anatomy...

The small deer trundled through the forest, unaware of anything besides his own discomfort, and the giant rock that awaited him. His sister was not present, and she was worrying him. If he could not find her soon, it would not be fun for any of them, sadly.

"Where in the blazes has that wretched deer gone to?" Standing on the grassy knoll overlooking where his stone sat to make him endure torment for another thousand years. He swallowed. He got a yearly break every thousand years, but it helped him very little. The gods could not forgive him the way they could anyone else. He was too cruel, too shame-filled. He could not let go, and yet fought against himself. He trotted onward, unaware of everything else.
