Hey all; I don't think I've mentioned it here before but I'm a metalsmith! I've been hand-crafting jewellery and other goodies for the last couple years under my brand Alchemic Anvil. As soon as Auriea & Michaël launched the TEF remaster fundraiser I knew I wanted to make some Endless Forest inspired designs to help raise donations for the game. Sadly like loads of others the end of 2016 and the start of 2017 haven't been easy, but I finally feel ready to get this project started!
I usually post behind-the-scene studio content
to my instagram but wanted a blog here as well to let you guys follow along as I design and build the pieces! Once complete, all these designs will go up for sale
in my Etsy store with a percentage of that money being donated towards the new Endless Forest!
Jan 22nd : I've spent several months mulling over how to translate elements of the game into wearable art. As an homage to the wordless communication of the game itself I want to avoid relying on symbols or text, instead choosing materials that naturally bring to mind the atmosphere of different forest locations.
Material brainstomring for 'The Pond', including fused sterling silver and labradorite.
Material brainstorming for 'The Birch Forest', includes Picasso Jasper (big round),
tourmalinated quartz (small beads), and an existing brooch, hand fabricated in sterling silver.
Woah, I'd definitely buy one
Definitely keeping an eye on

Ahh thanks for the interest
Uhm. Why have I not seen this
I find this a divine idea, and I'm a sucker for gems, jewels, stones, etc. This is my shit.
Would you be up for stone suggestions, to help spur your ideas maybe? Of course, I don't want to overstep your expertise C:

Gorgeous work Terra !!

It's so encouraging to see
Bayleen: Your use of 'my shit' gave me a good laugh! I'm glad to hear you're so supportive.
At this point when it comes to materials I'm unlikely to source more stones until I've finished with the variations on 'The Pond' and 'The Birch' above, but feel free to throw ideas my way! If something 'clicks' and I happen to have access to that material it's always possible.
I'm fairly blown away by your
Tera; Ah, true, I forget that
pond- turquoise, mother-of-pearl | birch- rhodochrosite, carnelian, rutilated quartz
ruins- onyx, lava | twin gods- howlite | forest in general- jasper
Bayleen: Not just the issue
It's interesting to see you suggest such warm stones for the birch forest! I initially debated doing something in more golden tones but since actual gold would easily double the cost of the pieces I decided to stick with stones that pair better with silver.
I've got your list in my brainstorming if I consider more locations, after the first two pieces sell!
