My quiet walk in the forest was interrupted by a magpie pelted mini deer and her normal sized brown spotted companion, neither was a threat to me of course though one can never be to careful in this place where some deer keep spells that will turn you into animals of all things or mess with your appearance, these spells hurt me terribly. I am not meant to shift and change like the other denizens of the forest, but I digress so back to the now. I have no interest in friends, but one day I will have to produce an heir and unfortunatly I need a female for me to be able to do that which is a most depressing state of affairs really. To have to rely on someone else, perhaps I will find a weak little doe to serve my needs...
The little mini deer was not a suitable candidate though. Not at all, prancing around the way she did. Far too hyperactive.
No.
I need a weakling.
Then the faun, the stupid little creature didn't get the hint when I bellowed at it to go away...you would think it would get the picture when I reared almost landing on the pathetic thing. It reared back, you would think its parents would have killed such a dumb creature off before it could run.
Morons.
When it didn't get the picture and bowed its stubby little head at me only the brown deer saved its life from being speared by my antlers which I've rubbed to points of course when i charged at it. I had no fight with the brown and when its mini companion joined in protecting the silly little creature I backed off. I will find a doe elsewhere...
I tried to interact with your deer yesterday , but you did absolutely not react This was strange , you stood there doing nothing
Maybe it was your ghostdeer
I have spent the day resting near the Crying Idol and many have visited me. I fell asleep for quite some time before I felt a faint breathing on me. I slowly stood up to see a fawn laying next to me. Why hello fawn, please, do join me. I enjoy your company, I'd like to be your friend. But please, why do you run? I shall stay in slumber if you will stay near...Please....Don't leave me young one....I'm just as scared as you.
I rested lazily in the flowers. My eyelids hung low and my eyes drifted about the forest. A deer approached me adorned with feathers. Your feathers, they are quite spectacular and your presence is calming. Must you leave so quickly?
The deer had drifted away in a fog of slumber and I was left alone again. I surveyed the new faces running amongst the trees. Not to long after a familiar deer ran closer. It was Lantern with his crooked wide smile and repulsive antlers. I could not help but smile, finally someone who knew me. Slowly from his foggy body a deer face appeared and he lay next to me. My son was calmly laying next to me. And though many would not find comfort in his presence for he can speak no words that have not yet been spoken, his personality changing from calm to crazy and his off putting appearance; I felt more peaceful than I had in a long while.
He seemed exhausted and I allowed him to sleep. He would be save beneath my shadow...I couldn't protect him but, I could always be there waiting for him.
A natural stag appeared after a while. I saw him of of the corner of my eye as he lay on the other side of the water and feel into a deep sleep....
And after some time Lantern drifted into a ominous sleep which I too fell prey to....
