Posted this on the forum too, I figured I'll post it again here and see if you guys have any ideas.

I recently got an Alienware computer and have been trying to run the forest. It refuses to connect, the dot at the corner remaining red. When I check the network status, it says 'Error' after trying to connect.
Normally I can fix this problem by shutting down the forest and reopening it (which did, in fact, work when the forest was able to shut down earlier). However, the forest always goes into "not responding" and remains like that until I force-quit it.
I've tried reinstalling, shutting down by both the menu and the x in the right corner, running in compatibility mode for Windows XP and Windows 7 (I know it works in Windows 7, on my old laptop), running as administrator and really everything I can think of to make it shut down right or connect.
Help?
Also, when I reinstall it, it behaves
exactly like the one I just uninstalled. It keeps the settings and everything, so any problem within the program itself remains. This happens even if I directly move all the folders to the recycle bin, or all the ones I can find.
[edit] It seems to have randomly fixed itself for the time being. Hope it stays like that. ;;
