I am very happy with this painting.

I have not done a background in A LONG TIME, so it was a challenge. I think I did okay for just starting out!

I'm feeling terrible, in and out of unbearable pain, accompanied with a phlemy cough, and I was aching for a comforting character to make. I thought, what better character to make, than a deer!

So, I made this guy here, whom I am calling, Beetle. The name might not last, but he is inspired by the art style of James and the Giant Peach, and he kinda looks like a beetle, with his antenna antlers. I don't know what I would call him, if not Beetle, though.

I also wanted to paint a picture with him in it. I haven't just sat down and painted an entire scene, so I enjoyed this. It was oddly calming, despite how uh...subpar I am at it.

I need help shaping the head, ears and giving her an expression. I would love some redline assistance.

I want a playful expression, but I can only do serious or non-existent expressions. v.v

If someone could help me with my problem, I would be very grateful!

The one on the left, man. WE MET UP FOR TWO DAYS AND JUST CHANGED EACH OTHERS APPEARANCES. Had a lot of fun! We met up again today and just ran around and did the same thing lol.
