My deer grew up 2 weeks ago and I had no time to do ANYTHING for her oTL, life has been pretty eventful and unfortunately not in a good way.
My father died a few weeks ago and while we weren't close thanks to him loving alcohol more than his family it still wasn't easy. To make matters worse, my brother and I have to arrange and pay for most of his funeral alone, and pay his utility debts as well. We don't grow money on trees, so this sucks, A LOT. It also ruined my chances to donate to the ToT campaign again, like I had planned and that makes me feel shittier than anything else :I I wanted to help more and breaking promises is not cool)
Anyway, my problems aside, I managed to finish a sort of ref piece for her today
I started it 3 weeks ago and procrastinated for more than 2 so it's about goddamn time.
Why, oh why do I feel the need to choose weird poses I can't even pull off? The world may never know... (also pretty sure the anatomy is nonexistent haha) I wanted something creepy, but she didn't really end up looking creepy at all? Oh, well. I kinda like it so it's okay I guess.
Now I face another small problem though. Since my deer grew up, I have to decide on a set. I was thinking about the swan pelt and antlers, but the problem is, I have no idea what mask to use. I love the DotD mask, but I'd hate to be a bother to anyone and ask them to log on from an earlier game (I think that's how it works?) so if anyone has an idea for a substitute, I'm all ears
Also, if someone can help me get the swan pelt and antlers, I'll be forever in their debt!
Got the set, thank you both!
I also got inspired while going home a few weeks ago. I used Moss' TEF deer lineart to make a quick thing, so I don't forget about it. There's also a painfully messy sketch I might finish and color some time (don't mind the weird, broken jello-like legs, they'll be fixed).
It's inspired by the view I see almost every evening while cycling home from work. I might use this in the future for another character, who knows. I'll probably change a bunch of things till then, but for now, this'll do. I imagine it as a 'he', probably a free-spirited young buck (don't mind the feminine face, boys can be pretty too :3)
But, I better wrap things up before everyone falls asleep lol, this is pretty long-winded and boring already I'm sure.
Thank you for reading. EyelessVoid out.
gorgeous concept!! looooooove
bottom design is gorgeous too! he makes me feel really calm for some reason.
also terribly sorry to hear that :/ losing a family member isnt easy, even distant ones, and its understandable if you cant donate to the campaign :> just focus on what you need to. wish i could send some extra money your way :c
also im really diggin that lovecraftian name
Thank you Shey. Shading is
I'd be grateful if you could help me get the set the swan pelt, antlers and then the fan mask sounds like a nice set for her. Not sure when you're available, but right now my deer is at the pond, sleeping.
I'm glad to hear your opinion it may be his somewhat serene expression? I hope I won't lose that when I color it someday.
Thank you again. Fortunately my mom and stepdad are very helpful and supportive, so I'm sure we'll manage somehow. The timing of the events is still horrible, and starting 2017 with a funeral is not how I've imagined it either :/ but it can't be helped.
Ah, thank you :>
edit: nevermind
edit 2: a BIG thank you to both of you who helped with the set!
Nice style you have! Glad to
Biking around is a great way to gain inspiration! Very good to see how it inspires others.
Sorry to hear about your dad. Even when a member of your family hasn't always been there and hasn't always been a joy to be around, losing them is never easy. I hope that paying off his debts and the funeral go well for you and your family.
Ahh, there's so much flowy
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
Thank you @FishBiscuit : ) It
It is, but watching the sky may not be the best thing to do while cycling xD it's just so tempting :> the colors of the sky at sunset and dawn are the best.
Thank you, I hope so too.
aAAh, thank you @niriya : )
