I awoke to deep bellowing. Damnit. I knew this was it. I stood to see my thin limbs below me, and I ran towards the calling. Maybe the old man was distracted. I partially wanted to fight with the old jerk, to let him know that a new generation if stag was taking over the forest. Christ, he's been here since dirt was created.
I found him, fighting with another unfortunate stag, and at once when I saw the anger in his eyes I felt my body tremble. Someone must've taken his ice-cream.
"Walter, got enough of that old carcass for me?" He turned, and I faced him. Oh Jesus. What have I done? He's 100x bigger than I am!! I reared, attempting to be fearless. It took him a split second to knock me on my ass. A few more came running in, and I couldn't tell who they hated more, really. Seeing as I was outnumbered, I ran swiftly to find (much to my joy) he was not following...
I found the beautiful Lemon and Kaoori in a thicket of trees, and another stag who looked quite... Mexican? Anyway, I figured not to push my luck tonight with either of them. To tell you the truth, I was in no mood to mess, because I could distantly hear the old fool roaring back on the treeline of the pond. I bowed to them, and they returned it... I tried to smile, or do anything friendly, partially to cheer myself up from such a fight, and I couldn't. The deep gash in my side was bleeding everwhere, I could see the does back up and look wide-eyed at me. I told them it was nothing, and tried to forget about it...
Omg-- Queze: "Sacrifice?" XDDD
Then Walter came after me. When I saw him runnning towards Lemon, it was then that I righted myself, ate the pain and tried to stand in his way. Not because I liked her, I did-- but mostly because I really didn't want to see anyone killed by this oaf, who takes shit way too personally. He shoved me out of the way with no trouble at all, and roughly nuzzled Lemon, who looked a bit confuzed and cautious. Can't say I blame the pretty little thing. Then, he turned to me.
This is where stuff gets a bit fuzzy for me, so I'll make some of it up.
When he lowered his antlers, and saw how mad he was, I couldn't help but roll on my back laughing... it was actually quite funny how angry he was at me ...ME, this little creep in the forest. I couldn't understand it one bit. Then he nailed me. He nailed me really freaking good too. Lemon and Kaoori cried out, and Walter grunted. I rolled onto my feet and limped away, a trail of blood behind me.
He on the otherhand wsa too preoccupied with his girls, he didn't see me slowly slip away into the saftey of the trees.
-------------------------------
I was summoned by outraged roaring. In an instant I thought of the fawns, the little ones of the forest and leapt to my feet. My shaggy body was not working to well with what my spirit wanted, but I made my hooves fly across the patches of delicate flowers, and of dirt. A tall hill allowed me to see Walter. What a mouth he has! He was rearing and bucking, and all of the nonsense, but I saw no fawn near him.
I turned to find Kaoori, Lemon, Rune, and Queze to my right... the vibes coming from this group was not happy, and I could see a clouded color in their spirits. I trotted over, and each lifted their heads in greeting to me. Bending over to bow I shook my head.
"Not now, I ne'er need a formal greeting in this manner. The air smells strange, something is at work here I do not understand... what is it that he's on about?" Queze turned to me.
"It's Dalzell..." he closed his eyes bitterly.
"Walter has gone on a rampage, attacking anything he sees, I quite wanted to see the little creep pummeled. He did get it quite good I must say." Rune spoke next. I closed my eyes to think of Walter's hate. Lemon was silent and her face was grave. Kaoori nuzzled her gently.
"Child, do not think this is what you have caused. Walter needs only the slightest of movement to be set off. He knows you love him, we all do. There will be no one here that will ever accuse you of ever angering Walter."
"Then why do I feel so horrible?" Lemon said quietly almost to herself, as she folded her graceful legs under her, resting her head on the ground. Kaoori sat with her and they spoke comforting whispers as I turned to the stags of the pack. They were already standing forward and strong facing the bellowing Walter in the distance. I turned to Lemon, who was still in no state of consolation, but thought it best to comfort her when I was sure Walter wouldn't come in and wound one of us, to say the least.
"I just don't get it." Queze mumbled to himself, his shimmering emerald scales gleaming in the sunlight. "How can he be so angry at hardly anything?"
"His ego is huge Queze, but I'll tell you one thing. If you'll stand with me, we'll protect them. Together." Rune turned to Queze, who nodded stongly. They were radiating with light.
Walter came trotting proudly from one of his small quarrels with another stag, in our direction. I held my ground firmy in front of Lemon and Kaoori. Kaoori stood, and tried to get Lemon on her feet, who immediatly attempted to right herself, and look as if she had net been weeping in his sight.
"Well well well, what I nice welcoming committee! And Lemon, I see you all dressed up for the occasion how charming." Walter looked smug, and Lemon dropped her eyes. After a moment of staring at Lemon Walter turned to the two stags who were stiff with caution.
"Don't do this old man." Queze warned.
"You really, don't want to do this." Rune hissed, locking his kneez in place, and lowring his head slightly. Walter turned, and looked crookedly and amused at the gesture.
"I-I mean.. He's gone r-right? 'Zell's gone!" Kaoori stuttered behind the three companions, still standing close to Lemon, who couldn't muster the strength to speak. She walked delicatly between Mystress, Rune and Queze, who loosened tehir stance to see her approaching Walter. He smiled a bit too selfishly for my liking, but she ignored it and brushed against his neck gently. He bent his ears and stomped wildly alfter a moment. Lemon cowered a bit in his shadow, until I could see no more of her frightened figure before looming above her, in the path of his kicking feet.
"Out of the way witch!"
"For what deed has this child done to you, except show you your own reflection?"
" Leave! " His angered form locked in place, and he kicked. I shook my head slowly, walking to him, several of his hooves scratching my legs which were already weak. Buckling my knees, I righted myself and nuzzled him. Turning my mouth to his ear I whispered.
"Your only enemy, is yourself." He snorted wildly, and shoved me to the ground, pointing his antlers directly in my face. Immediatly, the four companions lept tot heir feet, and to my aid, roaring and kicking at him. I stood, trying to call over the noise "Stop, he knows not what he does my friends! Leave him, and his pitiful thoughts." They would have none of it, and soon enough he was scared off.
"You don't know your place Mystress!!" He called out as he ran into the trees.
Some time later, after saying my graditudes to my fearless friends, Lemon sat alone in the shade of a tree watching a few distant fawns splashing in the water a distance away. When I sat, she looked at me a bit worried.
"I hope your not hurt by that brute." A warm laugh came from me.
"Lemon, the least of my worries are for this fleshy body... a seed needn't worry for it's tree, nor you for me. My concern is for you dear one, is everything well with you?"
"No, Mystress. I really don't want him to hurt you." I hung my head slightly.
"Yes, child. I am well, and always will be." Lemon nodded, adn watched as Kaoori swooped in with the fawns in the water and splashed with them. Making a great lot of noise.
"I miss Seth, Myst... and when Walter goes on these rampages I can't help but blame myself for them. I can't pull away from his hurtfullness, and I wish I could! I wish I could pull myself from everything, and I can when Seth is here, I can! I'm so happy, my heart just-- soars when he's around. But he never is when something like this happens."
"The wheel of time will turn, and turn again child. Soon, everything that has happened will be a fading memory for all of us. Your love will return to you, and then it is your time to be happy. Do not carry more than you ever need Lemon, for the weight of life is a heavy burden. Never set it down, never trade it away, and never play games with it... carry it strongly and proudly and love will fill your heart once more."
Lemon stood with a smile. It had been a while since I had seen it, she nuzzled me once and bowed.
"Thank you for you words again Mystress. You truly are, amazing." It was then that she left. Seeing Walter no where, I smiled to myself, knowing she would be alright...

Thank you so much for your

That's right. =P I water-ran
We'll definatly have to run into eachother again.
Wow Mystress! Such an
By the way, are you referring to my deer as "Rune"? I'm quite fond of that... I'm adding it to my list of possible names, the poor nameless guy. xD Anyway I think you interpreted everyone's characters very well. I would love to see more writing in the future!
Oh. My. Goodness! :o
Mystress, this was WONDERFUL! You're such a great writer; both stories had me captivated until the very end! c:
And you had Lemon PERFECTLY! It's almost as if I wrote it, myself! xD Seriously, you're very perceptive, to be able to write someone else's character that well! c: All of the emotions she's been struggling with are there, and everything. <3
Goodness, I really envy your writing skills. c:

Understanding Lemon - Lemon's Biography
Laruna: I love how she talks
edit: Ninja'd by Lemon!!
Thanks so much *blushes to death*. I try to be receptive to that kind of thing, because if there's one thing I hate in roleplaying, it's someone controlling my character and not doing their personality justice. So, if I'm going to use someone's character, I'm going to try and really know what their thinking, and if I'm not sure if what they would say would be right-- I'll leave it out.
I really wish I gave Kaoori more speaking parts... but I'll have her talk a bit more in happier situations. She seems a bit more "up-beat" than this stuff...
The moment when Lemon bowed off, and nuzzled Myst, I knew exactly what she was saying:
"Thanks Myst. I think I can handle it from here C:"... and then I thought to myself "And it was then that I knew she'd be alright", I logged off and that was it!!
Dalzell is pretty easy to write as, he's jsut careless and dumb. His dialogue is pradictable, but Myst's is not, and when usually faced with a hard question, she'll roll the question back upon itself and use words like "for" instead of "because", or "child" instead of "lemon"... You get it C:
Thanks guys. (is probably going to get ninja'd again because took too long to write)
Founder of The Lightbringers
Haha, I think you did a
That's pretty much exactly what Lemon was saying, too. xD She went to lay in the flowers by the ruins and just think, for a bit. (Of course, she would have laid there longer if my game hadn't crashed, but... x_____x)
Lemon speaks a bit like Mystress, but not quite as eloquantly. I find her dialogue is most often influenced by Romance-era novels, which are my favorite. c: You did great with her dialogue, really. <3 And with everything else, too! Gosh! xD <3

Understanding Lemon - Lemon's Biography
Oh I'm so glad!! <3 <3! I
I don't really know where Myst gets her speech. O.o... It's in a dusty shelf in the back of my mind. I use it for one of my characters in my massive book I'm writing, who is a LOT like a human Mystress. Her speech is like... Shakesperian or something... idk. LOL! Yeah, Lemon's dailogue is quite soft, and hard to pin-point too. XD I want to get better at it, but I think the circumstances in the story weren't the gratest for gentle speech... LOL!

That was a very excellent
Aaand that's all you're getting off from me. I woke up at 7:45am (Which is early for me) and I'm really still too tired to do anything properly.
I think thsi was great!

I'm a little wolf inside a girl.
Lightbringer-apprentice to Yorres
Verdy: That's good, did you
Kaoori: Oh I'm so happy I did her well. I was afraid to make her too timid, but really wasn't sure how she'd react to Walter being such a jerk, I did see her laugh once or twice at him, and I probably should've put that in as well, I think I forgot. That would've added some personality to her.
As I got towards the end and pictured the fawns playing happily in the water, I just had to put Kaoori in. She's one of the does that fawns would cheer:
"Kaoori, Kaoori! YEY!!" who is so playful. Mystress, is a bit like that but her old body dosen't really let her do a lot of stuff (hence air-sitting and water-walking, she dosen't do much of that...).
Glad you like it! I really enjoyed writing this and hope I can do more!!
Founder of The Lightbringers
He made an affirmative
OMG *spazzes* Why did nobody
Well, I've just finished it and must say I loves it :B you write so well with other characters! Queze was perfect, all tough and just not getting it, well done!

Glad you liked it!!

That'd be awesome!! If you
If you wanted to draw them as humans, you could make Dalzell look like Grima Wormtongue...
Founder of The Lightbringers
yeah I think I'm leaning
For some reason I always picture Dalzell as a greaser (like from the movie Grease) with a leather jacket, slicked back hair, I've no idea why *snort*
Haha that's funny! Do what
