The doe sits alone this night near the Playground. It is a comfortable place for her, and she can easily sense the stars above.
Her ears perk. She hears your deer coming. The doe smiles, and speaking out she says the following words:
"I know what you are here for. I can give you a hint at your future. You may like what you hear, you may regret ever coming to see me. But what you do with the words I share with you is your decision alone.
So, shall I read the stars for you?"

Hex always had the gift of foresight. She made predictions of
Iugulare's coming to the Endless Forest, and also of
the final fight between light and dark. Her prophecies are rarely false, but they can be.
So now your deer has the opportunity to be given a prediction of their future. It may come true, it may simply need to be interpreted, or it may just be words that mean nothing to your deer. That is your choice.
How it works ~
- Write your deer's approach to Hex, answering her question.
- I will draw a tarot card and use the interpretation of that to create your deer's unique fortune.
(optional - if you'd like to know what card I drew, please make sure to ask. Otherwise, I won't include that in the response)
- You can choose to have your deer react or not, that's your choice.
- From there, you can use the fortune for your deer's story, or just leave it as nothing more than words.
A few rules ~
- TEF characters only for this, please. They can be good or evil (Hex is blind so she will not know the difference, but she lived for countless years within Iugulare's body so she no longer fears the dark or evil characters.)
- If you want tarot readings for yourself,
please ask Zyzzy, who knows more about interpreting the cards than I do. I'm simply doing the readings to write fun predictions for your deer. I don't know how to do proper tarot readings.
- You can request as many of your characters as you'd like, so either do their 'approach' individually or you can have them come as a small group.
- Please don't take any of this seriously. It's just supposed to be for fun.
With that, who would like their deer's fortune?
Bakura smiled as Hex spoke
He rose from the ground in front of her and turned to leave, his confidence renewed. Before returning to the ruins, he paused and turned back to face her. His words rang with a sincerity that few would ever get to hear.
"Thank you... It means a lot to know they will be freed."

The canine approached the doe from behind with caution. Both eyes that were hidden by his glossy, black hair gazed at her. Rarely did he really approach others, but there was something about this doe. A certain feeling about her caused his curiosity to overcome him.
His steps were light and almost without a sound. He was rather surprised she heard him coming. Slowly, he walked closer to her as he answered.
"The future?" His voice was quiet with a surprised tone. He didn't believe someone could tell the future from stars. It would be fascinating to hear though. So he sat a small distance from her, shuffling a little to get into a more comfortable position and wrapping his over-sized tail around him before replying. "Sure." A faint smile appeared across his jaws. This would be very interesting indeed

Curiosity had triggered the demoness' to approach the lone doe. Umay had previously heard stories of Hex; her ways of telling the fortune of others. Unsure if whether she believed them or not, she decided to find out for herself; wondering of what awaited her in the future.
Slowly, Umay approached the other almost in complete silence; the only clear sounds of someone coming closer being the gentle thud of hooves and tapping of claws. She gazed towards the stranger, examining her before taking another step and sitting infront of Hex, though keeping her distance in respect of her personal space.
Obsidian eyes scan the night sky above; a dark void with only the most brightest of lights to illuminate the heavens.
"The stars are beautiful tonight." Her gaze sets back upon the smaller doe, a gentle smile forming behind her skull mask which, was also hidden behind thick, jet black bangs that hung loosely.
"May you read them for me?" The female awaits for her fortune; ears perked, ready to listen.

Hex raised her head for the canine, and taking in the starlight, she found a future for him:
"It appears that soon a chapter of your life will come to a close. This may not necessarily be a bad thing, though it could be. I do not see what exactly this means, but there are several hints. Perhaps a relationship you have with someone will end. Perhaps you will finish something you started a long time ago. Perhaps you will come to terms with something that has been bothering you...perhaps...perhaps it will be your time to leave the Endless Forest. There are so many options that I cannot definitely tell you what will happen, but be assured that something will end for you in the coming days."
Pinkpaws40 - (Your card is the Nine of Swords)
"Of course...", Hex nodded, and she lifted her eyes to those beautiful stars that Umay spoke of. She wished she could truly see their beauty, but she supposed that being able to read the light she saw was just as good.
"I see you coming to a decision, whether from your own choice or not is unknown. You will find the need to isolate yourself from others you know, either to be alone for a while or to open new connections with acquaintances you do not know so well. What you do with your voice will be entirely your decision, whether you will desire the time alone to gather your thoughts, or whether you find the need to open up to others who may not know a single thing about you. You have begun that path today by speaking with me, but I assure you there are more things to come for you in your future. Take some time to decide which path to take, whatever you decide will be the right choice."
He stopped short, nearly
He blinked as her words sunk in. She said he was here to know of the future? A frown creased the stag's brow, hidden behind his shiny black mask. He hadn't been looking for anyone to find out about that.
But he was curious now. The past had been filled with rocky times. Even with the good thrown in, some of that good had left. Would the future be any better?
...
"Alright. I'm curious enough."
His eyes widened at the doe's
Quietly, he stood up. Both eyes, that were still hidden behind hair, went back to normal but still had a hint of worry in them. A fake smile appeared on his face, it was hard to smile properly after hearing that. "You're good..." His head lowered slightly as a form of farewell. "Thank you and goodbye."
With that he turned and bolted off, so fast that it was probably hard to see his dark form in the shadows.

Hex studied the stars for the ninja, tilting her head curiously. "How interesting...", she began.
"You have always been a wanderer, a loner...yet the future I see for you is one more social. You have tried to be silent and lethal, yet very rarely are you ever successful at this. I do see failed attempts at concealing yourself, missed targets, even poorly planned escapes. Yet you continue at this even if you have not truly mastered the techniques you need to be a successful ninja. That is why in your future, I see you ending your exile, and seeking out guidance. There are plenty of teachers in the Forest who are more than happy to train you to better your skills, and all you have to do is ask them. Perhaps the first person you may want to talk to is my brother, Pent. He has...well...a way with trees. He may very well help you learn how to conceal yourself better, or as he may say, 'become one with the tree.'"
Hex giggled a little here. Her brother was strangely silly.

Hex took in the starlight, and finding the words for Cloud, she spoke:
"It looks like you will succeed in something you have been working on for quite some time. You know what it is I speak of, though I am unsure, though I know it is one of three things - either you will befriend or unite with someone you have known for a while; or you will accomplish a goal you have been trying to for some time; or you will learn the answer to something you have sought the question to for some time. Do any of those spark a realization in your mind?
While you will accomplish this victory, do not dwell in your achievement for too long. You have more things to do, so start working toward them as well. Find a new project or goal to work toward. You will be glad you started it when you did instead of procrastinating on it."
Thud... Thud... Thud... The
In their light his azure blue eyes caught the figure of a doe sitting near by and his body made a faint jerk in surprise as he hadn't noticed her first. Then his softly round ears turned forward as the same doe suddenly spoke to him.
"My Future...?" He repeated with his low, yet soft voice, tasting the word thoughtfully. Never had he really thought about his future much. Maybe he had just assumed his life would go on the same way it had been so far.
His eyes fixed back to learn the doe curiously yet politely.
"If you can, I'd be honoured to hear your prophesy. Please, tell me what lies ahead." And then his heavy body quietly lied down where he had been standing, waiting.
Quamar - Hex nodded for the
Hex nodded for the newcomer and looked to the sky. She got a future for him, and then spoke:
"I see many things going on in your life. Many choices have come up, and consequently many decisions must be made. The wish for a healthy and suitable doe...the hope to defend the Forest...the need to improve your relationships with others...the want to improve yourself both physically and mentally...and of course the desire to be the greatest stag in the Forest.
I ask you this question right here and now: of these choices, what one would you prioritize? Which of these other paths will you sacrifice to get the one thing you desire the most? The way has been set for you, it is your choices that will affect your future."
In the last days, Silun felt
But that voice, rather quiet and calm, yet strong enough to overcome the rambling noise of old fallen leaves he was stepping on. That voice forced him to stop and instinctively turn his head towards her.
"Excuse me, madam, I humbly apologize. I did not see you earlier." he bowed politely, meanwhile his thoughts rushed. So she knows what is he doing here? Or why he even came? Silun was puzzled for this.
But... future. She said 'future'. She must have be right. For what else would he be here anyway? Another bow, with respect. "Thank you, madam, I would be honored. There are words no one have ever shared with me I regret more than all of the words I have ever heard. Shall your words change it, they are worth being said."
Interesting. I'm quite curios what would happen.
Just one thing (I just must complicate things). It's very probably that I would like to know the card as well, but not immediately. Could you please tell me sometime later. Like a little surprise, for example?

Peirce and Voice looked at each other, and then walked towards the doe they called "Hex". But before they could ask her for their fortune a bouncy Dik-dik bounced right into her face. "M-m-m-my fortune! My fortune! C-c-c-c-could you read my fortune please?" He was bouncing up and down.
Peirce shoved Dareh. "We were here first!" Voice sighed.
"Look, we came here for our fortune. Please, tell us our fortune." She said while Peirce and Dareh fighted.

Hex scans the sky, and then speaks for Silun:
"For your future I do not see anything necessarily bad or good, it is a very interesting. Just a simple event, but it shapes who you are greatly. You are part of something that terrifies you. I see you cowering, fleeing, running for dear life. You stop, catch your breath, and cry loudly. This event scars you emotionally, and you feel your world coming down.
But then you recover, and very quickly. You will learn much from this experience, and from it you will become stronger, confident, and proud. You will have an emotional breakthrough, transitioning from a terrified soul to a confident soul. The hardship will come, but the reward will be extraordinary."
Bluedeerlegend -
"Alright alright, calm down everyone. Here, I will choose the order...", Hex speaks, and raises her eyes to the stars.
"For Peirce...I see a great challenge before you. A competitive deer will threaten you, wanting to show their pride and strength. You will accept the challenge, and face this other deer.
And you will lose the fight.
But do not lose hope. It is only a learning experience. Stand, dust yourself off, heal your wounds, and learn from the mistakes you make in this competition. You will be ready for the next time you are challenged. Don't lose hope."
"For Dareh, I see something you have been working on for quite some time...a source of power you wish to find. But you will fall into trouble along the way, and your progress on finding this will be set back. It could be only for a day, it could be a year...it could possibly be your lifetime.
But don't worry about it. Be patient, find some balance to what you are doing, and try again. You may not have what you wish for now, but that does not mean you never will get it. If you ever do, consider it a great victory."
"And lastly (but not leastly), for Voice, I see you as a guardian of a deep treasure. But you have been having a difficult struggle keeping up with that you are guarding. I see you have been letting your guard down, possibly exposing too much that others could take advantage of.
And in fact, someone will try to exploit a weakness you have uncovered for them. You will be rushed into answering questions you don't wish others to ask you. You will be pushed into giving away more secrets. You will be tempted to give up the mystery of the treasure of yours.
But stay steadfast, and resist them. You do not have to answer anything you are uncomfortable with. Let them wonder, and retain your secrets. Do not give in, Voice."
Why haven't I seen this

As usual, Zera and Erza were wandering through the forest. It was unusual for either to be so far away from the pond or the ruins but Z had said something was nagging her about the playground so they had to go. When they got there, they saw a small deer sitting on a rock.
"Brother! That doe - she's special! We must go speak with her!" and so, Zera skipped off to speak with Erza ollowing closely.
The doe spoke to them and Zera immediately replied.
"What do the Gods want with me? Why give me these... abilities?" She then blushed and apologised for asking more than one question.
Erza was more wary. This doe had a strange aura but after a nuzzle from Z he took a deep breath and spoke.
"Will I ever see Ouna again?" He blinked to rid himself of the tears that threatened to spill from his eyes and waited for her answer.
((Note - Ouna is Erza's biological sister who stayed at his old forest after his exile))

Hex gazed on the stars, and found the fortunes for both of them.
"To Zera, you ask why you have the gifts the Twin Gods have given you. Do you see them as a curse? I do not. I may be blind, but I see my own gifts as that - gifts. But to answer your question, there will be need for your abilities very soon. Things will happen very quickly, and it will be up to you and you alone to handle the situation. You will certainly be up for the task, that I do not doubt. And I don't see you having a problem finding a solution either. See your abilities as blessings."
"And for Erza, you ask whether you will see your sister, Ouna...I do not have as clear of an answer for you. This is really rather a choice you will have to make - you could choose to seek out your sister, but in doing so you would leave the safety of the Endless Forest, and without a proper guide, I see nothing but pain for you. But your other option is to wait, take some time to grow stronger, find some friends who are willing to defend you with their life...and then when you feel you are ready, you could go out to find your sister. You will feel burdened by waiting, but in the long run, you will fare better than you would if you hastily left. But the choice is entirely yours, and I will not try to stop you if you desire her immediate presence."
Wow! That's amazing! Thank

Both were visibly shocked by the answers so it took a while before they replied. However, both thanked Hex, said goodbye and turned to walk off. Just before leaving, though, Zera quickly nuzzled the doe and whispered one more thanks in her ear, hoping Hex would feel her pure gratitude before running after her brother and returning to daily life. both, however would be thinking about the answer silently to themselves for a long time afterwards.

Her mind was elsewhere as she walked so she didn't notice the doe sitting near her favourite spot. Cordis looked at her as she spoke, but the words weren't registering. I do not know this answer, or even the question you wish to ask, but you certainly do. This journey will not be very difficult and will not take too long for you to complete, but when you begin it, you will be completely involved, the answer to your question so within your grasp that you will be burning with desire to learn it. He smirked; blue eyes sparkling with intrigue. Oh how he was going to enjoy this. "If you knew why I came, why bother to ask, my dear?" his deep voice heavy with an English accent, with a hint of sarcasm as though he was teasing her. There was a doe there. She began speaking, listening to these strange words. A tingling sense of dread rushed over her.

Zyzzy approached the Playground, hoping to find the mysterious sky-pelted doe who'd read the stars for him long ago. His search paid off quickly, as he turned to see her sitting on a large rock not too far from him. It didn't take long til he was sitting down in front of her, settling in as he tried to think of how to word his request...
"Hello again, Hex. You read the stars for me awhile back... and every word you said came true. So, so true, despite all the impossibilities of it." He laughed softly, still amazed by her prophecy. "I met a doe... well, I should say I met her as a doe... we'd met before, many times, in different forms. We were both human once, you know... and both time-travelers. Meeting in the wrong order all the time. She knows everything about me, past and future... and I know virtually nothing about her. And I suppose she will determine whether I'm meant to be here or not... or at least explain why we're both here now. Its all quite confusing... and I'm not sure why I'm telling you all this..." his words trailed off, embarassed as he realized that he was babbling at the doe before him. "Sorry. I do have another question for you though..."
"Something else has entered the Forest too. Something else from a previous life of mine... something so full of hate and malice and pure evil. This... thing, its called a Dalek... and they despise everything that's not like them. Wish to obliterate everything that isn't Dalek, that they see as inferior to themselves. These monsters are why my people are gone... all dead, save for me." His voice wavered for a second. "And now its here... in this perfect place. With me, its most hated enemy. And it is mine. And I know... I know, that it will try to kill me the moment it gets its chance. And then the Forest... I don't know why its targeting this place, but if its here, more will come, and I don't want to think about what they plan to do to this place. I just want to know... what will happen? What can I possibly do? Whats going to come, when I finally meet my deadliest enemy, after so long, face to face?" He stared intently at the blind doe, nervously waiting for her response.

Hex smiled, "Sometimes the stars say nothing at all...and sometimes they speak every truth that needs to be known.", she says, and reads the starlight.
"There will be a time of great tribulation soon, but this is not about you, it is about...someone important to you. You will have to be strong for this person, and they may stubbornly refuse your support, but be persistent, and do everything you can for them. For doing nothing here will be a fatal decision. You will know what to do when the time comes."

The doe smiled and spoke, "Do not be afraid of the future. There are always going to be difficulties, but if you overcome them, they will lead to wonderful treasures. Now, to your reading...", she looked to the sky, her eyes particularly focused on a constellation.
"A new chapter is opening in your life. You have a clean slate to work with, and your decisions from here on will affect not only yourself but everyone around you. Keep your mind open, keep your heart pure, and you will be destined for greatness."
Zyzzy - (I picked two for you since you had a specific question, so your cards are The Devil and the Eight of Wands)
Hex smiled, happy her words were of use to someone. In fact, it was one of the first times someone had ever told her that her prophecy came true. "It seems like you have quite a bit to handle with this threat. But I can tell you that nothing is impossible. Remember that my brother rescued me from darkness, despite the odds being against him. Let me see what I can tell you about this...", she spoke, and looked to the sky. At the exact moment she looked, a meteor shower streaked through the night's sky. "Oh...oh? Hmm...", she began to muse.
"Things will happen very quickly. You will find problems arise very soon, maybe even...tonight. But keep your wits about you, keep your guard up, and most importantly, don't be discouraged. Your past may be troubling, your situation may be bleak, but you are brimming with hope. The enemy will be swift to get what they want, but you can be ready for them. In fact, I am sure you are right now.
Just remember - believe in yourself and you will overcome this obstacle, as well as many more to come. And don't ever be afraid to ask for help, the Forest is full of friends more than willing to stand by your side."

I look in.
She was no different from a shadow, the way she appeared from the undergrowth; slowly, quietly, without warning. She approached the fortune teller, pausing briefly before a leg stretched outward and her body bowed in greeting. There was a certain, excited fire that seemed to dance in her hazel gaze; the kind where secrets long hidden would seen be revealed, laid out for the world to see, to know. When she spoke, her voice could barely contain the adrenaline that was pulsing through her.

"It seems there is something disturbing you lately, maybe you have lost the connection to your roots, maybe you feel unfulfilled. Perhaps you are even questioning who you are or what your purpose is. While things seem unclear, the best thing to do is take every day at a time. The answers will be revealed with each moment you dwell on them, but keep your wits about you.
