The doe sits alone this night near the Playground. It is a comfortable place for her, and she can easily sense the stars above.
Her ears perk. She hears your deer coming. The doe smiles, and speaking out she says the following words:
"I know what you are here for. I can give you a hint at your future. You may like what you hear, you may regret ever coming to see me. But what you do with the words I share with you is your decision alone.
So, shall I read the stars for you?"
-------------------------------------------
Hex always had the gift of foresight. She made predictions of
Iugulare's coming to the Endless Forest, and also of
the final fight between light and dark. Her prophecies are rarely false, but they can be.
So now your deer has the opportunity to be given a prediction of their future. It may come true, it may simply need to be interpreted, or it may just be words that mean nothing to your deer. That is your choice.
How it works ~
- Write your deer's approach to Hex, answering her question.
- I will draw a tarot card and use the interpretation of that to create your deer's unique fortune.
(optional - if you'd like to know what card I drew, please make sure to ask. Otherwise, I won't include that in the response)
- You can choose to have your deer react or not, that's your choice.
- From there, you can use the fortune for your deer's story, or just leave it as nothing more than words.
A few rules ~
- TEF characters only for this, please. They can be good or evil (Hex is blind so she will not know the difference, but she lived for countless years within Iugulare's body so she no longer fears the dark or evil characters.)
- If you want tarot readings for yourself,
please ask Zyzzy, who knows more about interpreting the cards than I do. I'm simply doing the readings to write fun predictions for your deer. I don't know how to do proper tarot readings.
- You can request as many of your characters as you'd like, so either do their 'approach' individually or you can have them come as a small group.
- Please don't take any of this seriously. It's just supposed to be for fun.
With that, who would like their deer's fortune?
Hope you're not overwhelmed

The cursed demon was certainly not an unusual sight near the playground. In fact, he often found himself stalking the giant rocks for possible pray, or lurking within the boundaries of the deermuda triangle. When none of the previous activities are an option, he may sometimes be sighted indulging in the wild blueberries and small wildlife that spots the landscape.
In the process of crossing the playground, the demon stops in his blood-coated tracks. A voice catches his attention, and a crimson eye turns to face the source.
"Hnn..."
He turns and approaches the speaker. A doe... one that would be safe from his flesh craving, vengeful nature.
"If there... is any..thing... the sta...rs... have to... fore...tell... I am... will...ing to... lis...ten." he rasps.
---
Wandering across the birch forest, the nomad soon finds himself crossing into the playground. It isn't long before he hears the doe's voice. Soon, he follows the pull of the spirits to the presence of the blind doe.
Archelius bows respectfully, regardless of her blind state. He then sits before her, in what could be called a meditative position. Emotionless blue eyes look her over, telling nothing. A perfect perpetual poker face. When he speaks, his monotone matches his eyes perfectly.
"While the future may not be concrete, I confess to curiousity. What has the stars to say on yet to occur events?"
---
Previously minding his own business, lost in the in depth observation and analysis of a bird rare to the forest, Mar Sart is startled at the sound of Hex's voice. Skiddish by nature, he literally jumps from the sudden voice, and quickly turns and squints to see her. "W-who are you?" he virtually squeaks. For a nicely sized stag as himself, it's almost commedic to see such a spooky individual.
He approaches slowly, cautiously. Her words caught his interest.
Fighting off his scientific instinct to state the impossibility of future telling, he sits before Hex. For all he knows, saying no to what she has to say would only result in harm on his end.
"Ah... o-ok, I-I'd like to know." he studders out, practically blind eyes squinting and straining to see the one he speaks to.
Cypher - Hex speaks softly,
Hex speaks softly, "You will know soon enough...I keep...hmm...I keep seeing a picture of a bird...", she mused near the end. There was more to the prediction that Hex wasn't saying, maybe she didn't want to say so Cypher wouldn't get hurt in the process.
Sorrel - ((Knight of Coins reversed))
Hex chuckles, "My, aren't you excited! Well, let me see...", she says and reads the stars for Sorrel.
"Someone will come into your life soon, a male, but be wary of them. He will try to convince you they are a hard worker, but when the winter comes again, he will sleep for most of the day while you gather food. Do not let his false appearance fool you - he will claim he can protect you with his muscles and antlers, but when the time comes, he will turn and flee.
It will be at the old bridge when you meet him for the first time. When he tries to speak to you, just turn and walk away."
Darkweaver -
Hex nods and looks to the sky. She tilts her head for a moment, "How interesting...", she muses.
"The world will be changing around you, some for the better, most for the worse. But you can work around these inconveniences, maybe even use them to your advantage. Be on your guard, though - you will be attacked without warning, antlers will come after you, eyes will be watching you. But if you keep your wits and stay strong, you will get through this time of change and misunderstanding."
Archelius -
"My predictions are indeed not always set in stone, but I hope speaking them to those who want them will bring some kind of safety and peace to them.", she speaks, and then takes a look at what the sky said for him.
"You seem as though you have been feeling overwhelmed lately. Many problems have arisen, but this is not the end of the world. The solution is actually quite simple. Take each of these problems on one at a time, resolve them, and move to the next one. This will be an easy task for you, and once all are dealt with, you will be able to move on with your head held high."
Mar Sart -
Hex bows her head, "My name is Hex, I am the sister of Quad, Blixt, Trunks, Pent, and Caw. And from the circumstances, I lost my eyesight, but I gained the gift of foresight. The stars are always speaking to me, and I hope I can help those who want to know what the future says for them."
She looks to the stars, focusing on a particular constellation, "It seems you will come across something of value, yet you are unsure what to do with it. Do you give it away? Do you keep it for yourself? This is always a difficult decision, and I see that you are certainly a generous person. But in this case, you may want to consider being just a little selfish with your find. Keep it hidden and safe, and when the time is right, you will see that it will bring an even greater treasure to the entire Forest."
Oh, these are so interesting.
Thanks. ^^
X3 I love doing them!
I haven't done these in forever.
"The stars are bright and glistening tonight. Who else would like to know what they say?"
It was chilly. Not like that
He probably could. Neko was, of course, a samurai. A great, unique one.
Neko didn't need to know the future. He just ran where the wind took him, fighting problems when they came. But something was empty. Neko just wasn't feeling himself this chilly night. In fact, he had not been feeling himself for a while.
So when his nose sniffed out the scent of a doe that smelled of what Neko could describe as the burning fire of spirits, he slowly sauntered to where she stood.
"Hello?" he meowed to get her attention. She was a beautiful doe, and immediately, he recognized who she was. He had heard descriptions of this certain doe of other deer. This was Hex, the doe who told futures.
"I... I heard you can tell one's future." He paused, staring into her eyes. "Perhaps... you can tell mine? I may not be a deer, but that shouldn't make it any different... would it?" Neko wasn't sure why he was asking for his future, there was no reason to. He was just finding himself doing it.
The doe nodded politely,
"I see someone approaching, an enemy...your enemy...this person has been fighting you for many moons, some victories you claimed, others were taken by your foe. The approaching enemy will challenge you very soon, a clashing of swords, until...one has fallen..."
She sighs, "I cannot say which will be the victor, the final victor, but what I will speak is that when your enemy approaches, there will only be one who survives the crossing of these swords...yes...there will be a certain departure of one of you...", she shuts her eyes, "Please use my prediction to prepare. You will know when these events are occurring."

The seer nodded her head
"I see in your future a great bounty, a treasure of wealth. This treasure may be tangible such as an abundance of food or perhaps even ancient relics from the past, or could be intangible such as learning a vast amount of knowledge. I cannot determine what it is, but I see two possible outcomes depending on your choices. Should you choose to share this treasure, you will grow not only in friendship and respect from your peers, but the Twin Gods themselves will look to you with favor and your kindness shall be rewarded. Or...should you choose to hide and keep the treasure all to yourself, I see nothing but darkness, ill thoughts and ill deeds to come.
I would suggest, my dear, that you choose the former. Perhaps it is a good lesson in sharing that is to come."

The seer nodded to Aria, "Well thank you, I will look forward to anything you would like to give. If you ever need another fortune, please let me know. I am always here."
NikaGika -
She bowed her head gently, the clouded eyes looking in the direction of where the voice came from but not exactly looking at her face to face. "Hello there, Nika. What a lovely name you have. My name is Hex, and I am more than happy to tell you your future. Now let me see what the stars have to say...", she looks up in a similar fashion as she had with the others, tilting her head just a little as the light became a vision.
"Ah yes, there are great things to come for you. I see a powerful transformation of your being, the exact details are a little...fuzzy, but I can clearly see that you are much stronger in some form in your future. I believe in magic and power myself, since...well...I am gifted with foresight by reading the stars. My brother has powers as well, and I know of many others that have abilities beyond comprehension. You, my dear, will be granted some form of power in your future, but be aware, you will be under heavy pressure to use your power. Some may be jealous of you and desire you to use your power for their benefit. Do not obey them, listen to your heart and you will know what is right.
There is a famous saying, 'With great power comes great responsibility.' When the time comes that your transformation begins, it would be wise to remember these words."

Anyone else up for one? I'm on a roll XD
He'd heard of her,
Hex, the sixth of the original siblings, the one who could read the stars. A fortune teller. And his fortune was of great importance to the young, developing warlord. Less than 16 years old but with a mind full of ideas and prospects as soon as his father had gone to sleep that evening, Alabaster had slipped away into the forest again to seek out the blind doe.
He did not need to announce himself, she turned and addressed him immediately. For a moment the blonding male didn't know what to say. Carefully considering her words he licked his dry lips and nodded as he spoke;
"You shall witch, my future will be an important one." Not meaning to insult, he still referred to her as witch regardless, yet Alabaster tried to sound forceful and courageous but there was a tremor in his tone, afraid of what he might find out. Inhaling noisily he pulled his forehooves together and held his head aloft. He should not be scared or apprehensive.
//I'd like to know the card too prees ;3; I might come back with Solly or Ausar later too <33
The doe chuckled, "Well, I
"Interesting...quite interesting indeed...", she started, "I see an argument, perhaps even a threat to you. Another deer about your age has challenged you for your birthright. This may simply be a verbal matter that is taken care of without bloodshed, but I also see the crossing of antlers. It could simply lead to this person leaving you in defeat, or it may be their death, but regardless, I see you as the victor of the matter.
Be advised, my prophecies are not always true. When you are challenged by your foe, do not lower your guard on my account, for you may end up defeated or worse if you do. Rather, keep your mind and strength focused on this threat, and you will walk away the victor."
(Your card is the Five of Swords, and feel free to bombard me with anyone you'd like. I love doing this!)

The seer smiled, "Hello
"How lovely...", she began as she turned to Darkweaver, "I see even more happiness in your future. In particular, both of you will be reunited with an old friend and ally. This person will be by your side through the toughest of obstacles, and you can rely on them for anything - even the ultimate sacrifice if necessary. You may have to call on this person for that exact reason in the future."
She then turned to Laghodessa, "And I saw something for you as well, my dear. Joy. Perhaps an overwhelming joy in your future. You will be quite emotional when the day your joy comes. Do not hide this, it is quite okay to let it out. You will know what this is all about very soon, or...perhaps you already know.", she winks one of her blind eyes in Laghodessa's way.

Himmel had seen many deer come and go from soothsayer doe. He had heard walk past him after getting a reading how amazing a fortune teller she was. He didn't seem to believe them. "It is all hocus-pocus and witchcraft!" Though, he wasn't one to talk when it came to such dealings, since he knew his higher-up's practiced such things.
Though, nonetheless, he was rather curious. He couldn't help but get up and approach her. He noticed by her clouded eyes that she was blind, and felt a slight pity for her. He proceeded to bow. "Hello, madam. I am Himmel. I have heard that you tell fortunes? I would like one, if it will not trouble you."
The doe smiled and let out a
"The coming days will be fruitful for you, as something will happen that will spark a surge of inspiration. You will see something quite beautiful, perhaps a meteor shower, or a single falling star from the sky. At first you will deny this and think it is merely an Abiogenesis happening, but from it you will gain a splendid realization of your life. Perhaps you will have been close to giving up on something you have sought after for a long time. Do not give up on this dream, once you experience your spark of inspiration, it will be very tangible in your future. Hope is a wonderful thing, my dear."

The young buck tilted his head slightly toward her. Having been raised by rabbits, he hadn't yet mastered the deer language, but he somehow understood what she meant. He could tell she was someone special, and he respected her, but he was hesitant to know his future. Still, he knew he had been drawn here for a reason, so he hesitantly nodded. Then, realizing that the doe was blind, he stepped back to think of a better response. He recalled having heard deer use a word for when they agreed with one another, and he slowly spoke that word now.
"Yes," he said, and suddenly feeling more confident, he awaited her response.
The doe smiled, a gentle
"I have witnessed a very interesting future for you. There are spirits all around us, some just pass by, others influence our every move. I can tell you were drawn here by such a spirit, a very kind soul that wanted you to know something specific.
Well, the stars showed your future, and as it turns out, you will be put to a test. A journey, really, to do something very meaningful for these spirits. Even as I speak this, your guide is telling me to make sure you understand...that if you are to succeed in this quest, you will put both the spirit of your guide as well as many other kind and gentle spirits to their eternal rest. It will also be a meaningful journey for you as well.
Your guide says that this quest can be started at any time, and that your quest will begin when you least expect it to. Do not fret or worry about it, it will be very easy, and your guide will show you the way just as they brought you to me. You will be led to an ancient chapel, somewhere where humans have not been in a long time, and at the highest point of the ruins is a bell. All the spirits ask is for you to ring the bell, and they will find their peace.
I wish you safe travels when your journey begins.", she bows her head gently

Hehe it's a lot of fun
Basking in the rare darkness
His curiosity piqued, he barely waited for the last visitor to depart before he tumbled off the boulders, his enthusiasm transforming him into the more socially acceptable Fawn.
He trotted up to where she sat, and marveled at her face as she turned and spoke to him.
“…Shall I read the stars for you?”
He gazed up into the jewels of heaven. It never occurred to him to fret over the future, or use such distant objects as the only means to gauge where one stood in life.
Delighted with this new game, the fawn glided swiftly through the seer, hoping she could pick up on his eagerness to engage with her. Stepping out again, he enthusiastically drummed his hoofs into the earth.
[ Ok, I need to do this
He hadn't actually been seeking her out. Kinsha had just been in deep thought, wandering around in attempt to help him think better. So far it hadn't worked. Hadn't helped him build up the nerve to do what he'd been procrastinating in doing either...
But since he was here...
"Sure, go ahead."
...it couldn't hurt, right?
...
Never mind that he was procrastinating more.

"Ah I see. How exciting. What a courageous one you are! Dynamic, full of energy and spirit. And before you is something...or shall I say...someone, who has been watching you for quite some time. She is certainly lovely, and she has a decision to make. The young doe...she's wanted to approach and speak to you for quite some time now, but as it seems...she is very shy.
Don't approach her if you see her. She will make her decision sooner or later. But if you happen to catch her eyes, a smile may help her decide a little...faster.", she winks.
Pega - "Ah Kinsha, yes I remember you. As it turns out, I caught a glimpse of something that I knew was for you. Let me find it again...", she looks to the stars once more.
"Ah yes, there it is. I think you will enjoy hearing this. It looks like there is an immense battle you have been facing. It's not a physical battle of course, more of the fight to speak certain words to a certain someone. It's tough, isn't it? Like a constant barrage of arrows on your shield. You'll fear being struck by one of these arrows of failure, like so many times before, right?
But from here, I see two possible futures. In one path, you finally brave those arrows and run to speak the words. In this future, I see both complete victory and complete peace. You would emerge unharmed. In the other future, you surrender to your fears, and your shield fails you, as the arrows pierce every part of your being. In this outcome, I see nothing but regret.
It's not too late, you have not missed the chance for your victory. But you should act quickly, for every second you wait, your shield becomes more and more damaged.", she winks a blind eye to him and smiles.

The light patter of hooves ,belonging to a young buck, slowly crept their way up towards Hex. Making special care to cause enough sound so he wouldn't scare her, Lionel drug himself up to face and and then quietly sat. Folding his black socked legs underneath himself into a partial kneel, bowing his head out of respect, even if she couldn't see he felt like it was something he had to do. For everyone deserved the same treatment. Finally he spoke in a timid croak, " Greetings...I do hope I am not a bother and I hope you are doing well. I've heard of you and I would like to ask of your fortune? I do not own anything on my person mind you.. and I apologize if I can not give you anything of worth. For your wisdom is greater and deserves more.... I humbly ask to take my question into heart.

The doe chuckles and shakes her head, "No donations are necessary, I give my visions for free. It's, how would you say, a gift to all who ask, as I am more thankful for my life and freedom from the darkness. I am certainly happy to share my gift with you. Let me see what the stars say...", she looks to the sky as starlight fills her eyes.
"I can see a hidden treasure of your own. Just as my foresight, you also have a gift, you simply need to tap into it. Your gift is that of intuition and perception. You will have heightened senses, you'll feel things, little quivers beneath your hooves...sounds you wouldn't normally hear...smells that you may not have picked up before. It is all awaiting and ready to be utilized, for protection as well as for a much fuller and happier life.
The gift will be easy to awaken. Just go to the Twin Gods, pray to them, and sit quietly. You'll feel your heart warm, and when you do, you'll begin to experience the world in a whole new way."

The doe smiles, "No need to be shy, my dear. The future can be nice to know. Now, let me see what the stars say for you...", she looks to the sky.
"It seems that there's something you've been waiting to hear for a very long time. Maybe something you've been looking forward to. It also appears that you may have been having trouble communicating your thoughts and feelings. This is important to your future, for there will be a time that will come where an important event all hinges on whether you speak up or not. Like many predictions I've made before, I see two paths depending on your choice.
Should you find the courage to say what needs to be said at this given time, then things will progress normally, and you will see that your words are more beneficial than you think. However, if you stay quiet during this time, I see you becoming isolated, depressed, and heartbroken.
Have courage. You'll know when the time comes to for you to speak."

The gray doe, Nemesis, moves towards the Playground, the darkness making her almost invisible. She slightly hesitates before approaching the alone sitting figure. "H-hello," she greets and bows, being polite even though the doe in front of her can't see. She shuffles her hooves, a slight shiver running down her spine upon hearing the voice of the stranger. "Yes please, read the stars for me," she quietly answers. She is alert, her ears perked up and her violet eyes wide open because she is about to learn what the future holds for her.

The doe smiled and gave a nod, and looking to the stars, she caught starlight and began to speak.
"Mmm...I see a very interesting future for you. It appears that you may be reliant on others a little too much. Maybe you depend too much on your friends for protection, or others for food or the like. And maybe you have noticed that you aren't enjoying life as much because of this. What I see is inspiration and drive to change and become more self reliant.
It will be a gradual change. Don't expect this to happen overnight. But you will find inspiration to do things without help, and you will realize that life will be easier with each new thing you discover.
What is better is that once your friends realize how well you are doing with your self reliant progress, you will get much recognition and praise for your efforts. Isn't that nice?
You'll know where to start when the time comes. For the time being, maybe you should ask your friends about what they know when it comes to food resources in the Endless Forest. Maybe start learning about what mushrooms and pinecones are the best to eat. I think you will enjoy your life much more sooner than you think."

"How nice...I see a very positive future for you. Someone you've spoken to once or twice is interested in learning more about you, and starting a new chapter in your friendship. Or should I say 'relationship'...mmm...it seems this person has taken an interest in you, maybe to further things for the better.
They'll ask to know more about you soon enough. And when they do, tell them all they'd like to know. It's quite okay, they're a very good secret keeper, and it's quite fine to open up. There's nothing to be afraid of with this person, they have every intention of knowing you for you, and don't plan to use anything you tell them against you.
Good luck sweetie. You may soon wonder how you have lived without this person. How lovely."
