Heya, I had an idea but I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for it.
I'd kind of like to write a series of Christmas stories for you all. And if at all possible, I'd love to get a little community involvement on what kind of a theme for each, who should be in them, ect. I haven't decided about opening up character slots for all of them or if a few will be generic stories. I'd like these to be a gift to everyone anyway
So here's what I'd like if you guys don't mind answering a few questions. And if you want to 'agree' with anyone's responses, please do so - it'll help me decide what ideas are popular and such.
1 - What kind of a Christmas story should it be? What should it be about?
2 - Who should be in the story? Should it be generic animals? Should it involve specific TEF characters?
3 - Should there be a theme or moral to the story?
4 - Should the story be based on a popular Christmas song? And if so, which song?
5 - Lastly, what suggestions or ideas do you have?
I'm going to write twelve stories altogether, so any ideas are greatly appreciated.
I'm planning on writing a few now and posting them starting December 1st. Keep checking this for when I have character slots available for stories, too! They will be in bold below
I officially have 12 stories now. Thank you to everyone who came up with suggestions. I could use one or two more deer for the Night Before Christmas and Rudolph stories but otherwise I should be good on characters too.

Ideas so far (striked out = I've gotten it written, but it won't be posted until December 1st or later, and ** = I started it but haven't finished yet) :
Quad - A deer walks in a dreary winter night, finding a town where Christmas lights seem to warm his spirit. A child in the town has a Christmas wish, and he hears it... *would be a generic deer story, non TEF*
Quad - What if a deer randomly found a Christmas ornament on a tree in the Endless Forest? What would they think? How would they react? Featuring Toukan, Cloud, and Aeis
Quad - A story where one of the most rejected/hated/lonely deer in the Endless Forest is shown some love by a total stranger.
Quad - What if the Endless Forest baddies had their own end-of-the-year party?
Terabetha - A story in the style of A Christmas Carol, with guest appearances from TEF ghost deer to play the roles of the different spirits, and a story where the main character learns an important seasonal lesson...
Characters taken - Scrooge (Verdy's Walter), Cratchit (ShimmyShimmy's Silence) Marley's Ghost (Zerg's Laghodessa), The Ghosts of Christmas Past (my Trunks), Present (CelticMystress' Mystress) and Future (Danny2610's The Creature), and Tiny Tim (Two's Caden)
Trigger - A 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' story where a Santa deer visits the Endless Forest, or perhaps...an Endless Forest deer doing Santa's job for him?
Eyestrain - A Rudolph-style TEF story.
Deer to be included so far - Chickenwhite's Raleigh, Zerg's Zergarikiaka, Pega's Scape, Ourania's Ourania, SnowSauria's Snow, CelesteLune's Celeste, Nix42's Deer (need info please), Vandettta's Tusse, and Halafax will be our 'Rudolph'
Eyestrain - A story inspired by the Carol of the Bells and featuring Brd.
PLK217 - A story inspired by Good King Wenceslas (Featuring Silun and Laruna)
Zerg - A Nativity Story (The three wise deer will probably be Mar Sart, Yorres, and Mystress, and Kaoori and Wesker will be our Mary and Joseph, with RedKora, Serendipity and Zephyr as 'shepherds')
Chickenwhite - A ghost story where a deer meets a strange fawn and shows them the Christmas spirit. Featuring Redd

I've got a great idea for the
Alright so yesterday I said I was going to get two stories done, but only did one. However, today I plan to either get the other one done (Eyestrain's Carol of the Bells story) or get Zerg's Nativity story done. I'm on a roll, got a lot of ideas so maybe even before December I can get all of them written and just bombard you guys with them all XD.
Also, I need to post this again - Two, which fawn of yours do you want to be Tiny Tim for the Christmas Carol story? If I don't get a response by the time I'm ready to write it, I'll just pick one that I think would fit, but it'll be Two's deer anyway.
One more thing, before I write the Christmas Carol story, I want to watch one of the movies to get a refresher on the story. I looked for the version where Patrick Stewart played Scrooge, but I couldn't find it at the store. I may try a different store and see if I can run into it, that was my favorite version of it.
Or I could just buy the animated one. I never saw it.
**On a side note, after looking up Patrick Stewart on IMDB, I didn't know he was the Great Prince in Bambi II as well as Emperor Uriel Septim VII in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I never knew!!**

Bigcrow - I'm going to write that story now and feature your fawn. I decided to write it in a first-person view (where you, the reader, are the hated/rejected deer), but Sionnach is perfect for the role of the sweet fawn.
Gah I feel so bad, I keep wanting to write these but when I get to the time to write them, I'm so tired or unmotivated that I haven't. I know I have more than enough time to get these done but I would have liked to have gotten some more written already.

This idea comes from a ballad by Karel Jaromír Erben - Stedry den (Chrismas day). And his work is based on the traditional folk stories (from the 19th century)
It is not as much about Christmas. It is more about superstitions around that time with basics in the old pagan customs and the consequences in the christian society. (sound quite serious...)
To the story: It starts more or less happily, two young girls having nothing good to do inside a small snow-covered cottage at the Christmas, so they go into a wood to a frozen pond, for one saying says, that at the midnight after Christmas Eve, they can see their future beloved man in the water.
The first one sees truly her future husband (Wenceslas, by the way
The ending is in the cottage again, one year after, ant these two girls are missing. One is away with her husband, awaiting children. And the other one lays buried for three months already.
The point of this ballad is, that it is better to live in dark blissful not knowing than to learn your true future. As you see, there is nothing really happy in it and it is up to you, if you find this moral lesson welcomed. (Reading what I had just written makes me think, this probably won't be what you're looking for. Ehm.)
Here I found a film adaption even with English subtitles, the director changed the story a little bit though. At least to show you the atmosphere, if you are still interested.

Little update - I wrote about half of Eyestrain's Carol of the Bells story. I'm a little stuck so I don't know what I want to do next. I know how to end it though XD
I actually just wrote Vandettta's poem (the last one suggested). I didn't mention her deer in it but it's supposed to be a general story for every Endless Forest deer.
...Well here, I'll give you one tiny excerpt from it, the first stanza. It's just a taste though, there are six stanzas in total
Let us gather around together
Beneath the Oaken tree
We shall sing about the weather
And how things came to be

Also I had another idea for a story...what about a Christmas story for the 'evil' TEF characters? I might make it a surprise story for certain characters, it would most likely feature the following evilees:

Well while I have it up,
"The baby is coming, Wesker!", Kaoori cried. Her body shivered in the cold rain, her mate looking at her in a worried manner. "I can't deliver out here! We need to find shelter!", she said tensely.
"Okay, okay! Uhh...", Wesker looked around. The rain was unrelenting, he shook his fur to get the water out of his eyes. "What about under the old bridge?", he asked.
"Wesker!! There's water under there, remember?", Kaoori snapped. The stag grimaced, thinking again, "What about the Old Oak...?", he asked.
"Yes, come on! Let's go there now!", his doe said hurriedly, running off toward the great tree. Wesker sighed, following behind the pregnant doe. The rain wasn't helping the situation, and both he and Kaoori were growing more and more frustrated this night.
As far as the 'evil deer' convention, maybe Wesker gets an invitation, but Kaoori talks him out of it. I'll probably stick them in there briefly

I'm wondering what kind of snack food evil durr would eat. Anirapio would probably like rats, frogs, squirrels, ect. I'm sure a few of them wouldn't mind snacking on a dead fawn *that's a joke*.
I dunno yet, but it'll be pretty hilarious. I already know Nekumbra and Jorogumo would hang out, both members of the super secret spiderdurr society (SSSS) XD
