Invisible music players.
CUT IT OUT.

I (grudgingly) accept the auto-playing music, since I can pause it.
(Though people who use it are being inconsiderate of those with a limited amount of internet they can use that gets sapped by those auto-music players, even if they're paused, since the music that started to play keeps downloading. When that bandwidth limit is nearing its end for the month, they're suddenly loading at 56k speed. How would you like it?)
But music you can't stop?
A big no-no when it comes to web design. (Scroll down to "The Bells and Whistles aka Multimedia".)

Since this site gets posts so fast, I'll open maybe 4 pages up at once in tabs, and look at them while the others are loading. I don't wanna suddenly hear music playing from who-knows-what tab (or more than one), and not know which one it is thanks to the music player being invisible.

I know my opinion on invisible music players/autoplaying music won't get them to stop being used, but maybe it'll get those who use them to stop and think about what they're doing for a second.

Bottom line: If someone is going to use their internet bandwidth, give them the choice instead of deciding for them that 5mb will get sapped.

Ranting aside...
Secret project in the works. I won't be posting it until it's done. Only one person knows about it, since I wanted their permission first, as it somewhat involves them. It motivates me to keep going on it too.
Which reminds me. I should change the "Art Status" section of the main blog.

In other news...
I hate out front door. |D
It keeps getting stuck, and needs to be forced to open or close. I end up slamming it by accident from the amount of effort I need to use to close it.
Do door frames or doors expand when it's cold? O.o Our heating isn't keeping it as warm as it did last year, so that might be why.
(I swear I need separate sleeves or something. My arms are cold, but my torso is too warm for a sweatshirt. *freezes and overheats at the same time*)

(Apparently you can fiddle with the dimensions of the music player in the coding so it won't show.)
In regards to that complaint against the auto-music on blogs, I think people figure, "They shouldn't care if the music player is below the page break, and therefore not on the blog list pages". -.-
I'll never use autoplay. EVER.
We were even told when I took web design not to have music you can't stop.

Yea, that's what I thought too, but I don't know if that was literally said, so people must be using that as a loophole.

Perhaps I should find that blog, and post what I wrote as a separate blog, with Auriea's blog linked in it.

Haha, it wasn't exactly not to comment, I was being worried about comments containing offensive material, and thus people feeling singled out like in many posts.
Unfortunately it seems people disregarded it and more of these invisi players emerged.
It would seem feelings need to be hurt to get the point across these days. :/
