Caw passed away earlier this

Caw passed away earlier this year, he was killed by Iugulare's rock hounds. And here is his story, although it's fairly long.

Essentially he was banished from the Endless Forest for worshiping a false god, and lived on an island for 100 years. There he learned from his mistakes and eventually was brought back to the Endless Forest for a short time.
