Disclaimer: Brooks is a character with OOC traits. I'm here behind the screen and things he does are things I want him to do, not things completely dictated by his personality. That said, if you want to roleplay detailed things with us, drop us a line here on the biography or on Discord or Skype. pls don't email me i won't see it. If I make a bio update that incorrectly represents what we did in game, let me know! ^u^ forest communication is tough, man.

The wind was a torrent of darkness,
Among the gusty trees.
The moon was a ghostly galleon,
Tossed upon the cloudy seas.
The road was a ribbon of moonlight,
Over the purple moor.
And the Highwayman came riding,
Riding,
Riding.
The Highwayman came riding,
Up to the old inn-door.

Annabel was momentarily silent, staring around her in awe. She hadn't seen so much...color before. The little fawn got to her feet, staring up at the berries that easily became the sky. She fell back, too absorbed in looking around to really think about bounding about.
"Name...?" She asked softly, looking up at Brooks.
The name of the place? Brooks shifted on his hooves. "Blue. Bowl." He stated. "Filled with lots of blue. Berries." The buck pronounced the name of the fruit with the same staccato as he had with the name of the landmark. Leaning down, he plucked the berries off their vines, happily smacking his lips as the juices reached his tongue.
The fawn repeated the name of the place and then turned her attention to the fruit, repeating its name as well. She tilted her head as the stag nibbled on the blue fruit and she had no choice but to attempt it herself, her curiosity would eat at her if she didn't. The fawn got up, limping over to the closest bush and nibbled on a berry within her reach. Annabel started after rolling the fruit around in her mouth, unleashing a wave of sweetness in her mouth, leaping back and falling onto her side in utter surprise. She had never tasted something so sweet before! Instead of getting up again, the fawn remained where she was, laughing at her own surprise.
Orinoco was resting in the soft grass contemplating names for her fawns. Her mate had been gone for a long while and she was beginning to get worried...

Brooks gave a light laugh at the fawn's comical clumsiness. Leaning down, he used the dull tips of his antlers to hook under her belly and lift her back up to her feet. Once done, he stood up and smiled. "Come this way, she's over here by the crooked tree." Brooks stated, heading for the rim of the Blue Bowl. He stopped in between two gigantic birch trees and looked back at the crimson babe. "It's alright, come on."
Annabel watched him at first, before limping after him. She found it difficult to limp around, under and through blueberries, but she struggled through it, bounding up to join the stag on the edge of the blue bowl. She paused next to him, glancing up at him only to look over her shoulder at the massive expanse of blueberries. It appeared as giant as the pond was, though filled with the sweet fruit over stinky water. Much better than the pond, as far as she was concerned. She felt small and insignificant compared to the Blue Bowl, and the stag next to her didn't help the matter. She shook herself, nearly falling over in the process before peering ahead of her, trying to see who Brooks was trying to show her.
Brooks motioned with his head towards the blackish-grey doe resting in the tall grass next to a oddly-grown tree. He leaned down and gently picked Annabel up by the scruff of her neck so she wouldn't have to walk any farther. The stag walked carefully through the stomach-high grass, being extra sure and keeping his teeth behind his lips so he wouldn't hurt the fawn. When they reached his and Orinoco's home, Brooks set the baby down. "This is who I was talking about." Brooks said to Annabel.
Orinoco turned and beamed when she saw the tiny fawn. Oh how cute she was!! "Hello sweety and what's your name?"she said with a warm smile then looked at Brooks,"Where did you find her?"she asked turning her face back down to the adorable tiny thing.

The little fawn was surprised at first, but quickly got over it, finding her voice, "Annabel!" She exclaimed, watching the doe and wagging her tail. Someone new! She took a couple of limps toward the doe, before pausing between them to watch their conversation.
Taking in another stray? XD looks like I might have more than one or two siblings soon enough. I can see it now...Brooks and Cali taking in strays and Orin frolicking happily in fawnland.
Haha actually Orinoco is like that XD I decided her picto gram describes her motherly nature so she sees a fawn and instantly wants it XD.

Orinoco's smile widened at the little one's introduction."Lovely name!" she exclaimed then giggled softly. "Come here sweety"she said wanting the fawn to get closer. She looked a little messy and her instincts were driving her to want to clean.

The fawn giggled and limped over to the doe, stopping once she was in reach. What did she want? Who was she...what if she knew Momma? So many questions, but she couldn't ask any of it. At least not right now.
Brooks smiled. "By the pond, she was covered in muck and sludge. I didn't know any other does that love fawns as much as you do, this was the only place I knew where to bring her." He cocked his head, the smile still plastered on his face as he thought to himself: Oh lords let the new fawn be a boy. I'm surrounded by women. Turning his attention back to the deer before him, Brooks relaxed. The fawn was safe now, not alone like it had been.
Joining in! Brooks and Orin haven't seen their daughter since she became a full adult...tsk tsk.

Cali came trotting down from the nearby hill, carrying a little leaf pouch with some treats in it for her mother and future sibling/s. She freezes in her tracks when she sees the limping little fawn. She shifts uncomfortably, not really knowing what to do. She looks at her mother resting. Couldn't be her little sister yet...this fawn was too old to be her mother's. She slowly nears, keeping a wary eye on the little one, almost like she's scared. She sets the little parcel next to her mother and the leaves fall open, revealing some cranberries and honeycomb.
Brooks and Orin are also full-blooded human faced. XD

Brooks grinned when he saw Calida. He hadn't seen his little girl in a while, had gotten worried. "Hey Cali! Where've you been lately?" Nuzzling her behind her ears, he eyes her expression curiously. "What's wrong?"
Once the fawn was close she set to work cleaning her off. The little one was caked in muck and she wanted her clean right away. Having experience with holding down fawns during bath time it shouldn't be to much trouble. When Calida approached she smiled wide. "Calida!!! Oh honey where have you been!!!"she wanted to get up but at the moment she had a tiny thing in her grasp. When she dropped the parcel her smile grew wider,"Oh thank you sweetheart"the doe leaned her head forward and nuzzled her daughter.

She smiles and nuzzles her back, then nuzzles her father back. "Hmm? Oh nothing...nothing." she says to her dad before addressing them both as to her whereabouts. "I've umm...just been around. Looking for Hra, made some friends. A few more nightmares. Cowering in the moonlight. You know. The usual." She speaks fluidly and so casually like these events are expected. She looks down to her mother. "And how has the expecting one been??"
Orinoco looked up from the tiny fawn and a worried expression covered her face."Calida...what is wrong.."she asked her voice still gentle but stern. She could see in her eyes she was hiding something. She wasn't going to press it too much at least not at that moment but if she could get SOMETHING from her that would be a small blessing.

Annabel remained where she was, feeling confused and maybe even a little scared of the tension between the three. Was it because of her? She snuggled in next to the gray doe, her eyes flickering between Brooks and the newcomer. She kept her ears low as she listened to their conversation, not the least bit understanding.
Cali takes notice of the little one looking so scared. Had she really forgotten what it was like being that young? She smiles sweetly at the little thing before speaking to her parents again, her tone light and happy. "It's alright, mom. We can talk later once little ears are well out of hearing range." She nodded to the fawn, indicating it might scare her. She looks at the fawn again. "Hello there sweetie. My name is Calida." She lays next to her mother, getting eye-level with the fawn so she wouldn't be scared.
The fawn's ears perked up as the opal and black doe set herself down by her and the gray. "Annabel!" she exclaimed happily, wagging her tail. So many new faces and places today, she hoped she could remember all the names! "Calida," she repeated the name, placing it with the doe. That shouldn't be so hard to remember, right? No. It shouldn't.
Annabel was momentarily
