I get overly excited bout these things and I told poppy to prepare the fawn so that eventually when it does happen then it will be done and ready. But I did tell poppy it would be a while (possibly months)before Orin is even pregnant then months after that till its born sooo yeah ^_^ sorry

Trust me at first I was rushing it a little (more from excitement than anything) But my thing with Orin's motherly nature is not to force you but is just a character trait. Brooksie helps hold her back XD
If you felt them falling for each other was rushed we can pull it back if you want. Make it more of a crush on both parts instead of full on mates. They are still young. OR instead of mates they could be courting atm. What do you think of that idea?

Brooks shook his small mane, shaking loose the little hairband that held it together. He needed to be damn sexy for the question he was about to ask. Snuggling up beside his mate, he turned until he was on his back with his head resting on her forelegs. A cheeky smile was on his face. "Hey... Orin? Do you want to go back to the human world? This time in a... not so vulnerable form? Perhaps as... humans, this time?" The stag waited for her reaction with a hesitant feeling. To help his cause, Brooks added; "We can go into human cities, perhaps stay there for a while, it would be fun to experience a new way of living."
Orin sighed as she snuggled up to her damn sexy mate. She felt lucky to have caught his eye. He was rather attractive and he could have had any doe if he tried. Her ears went back at the suggestion of the human world but perked up when he said "as humans". Her head cocked to one side in confusion,"How do we become humans?" Such a thing she did not know was even possible."If we could I'd love to" she said, her voice soft. She wondered if she'd look like she did before she was alive.

Brooks smiled and snuggled closer, attacking her with fluff. "We got to the Wild West because I thought really hard about it. It didn't change our forms much, but the location change was drastic. If we both think hard and long about it as we go through the portal, it'll happen. We just imagine ourselves in human forms. Then I'll pick a place for us to go to. Sound alright to you, Lady Nokie?" He said, grinning. That grin soon faded when a thought occurred to him. "What are we going to do about Calida? We can't just leave her here, and the human world is way too dangerous..."
Orin felt the idea was a rather nice one. When he brought up what could be done about their little adopted daughter she looked away in thought. After some time she looked back to Brooks,"She has many guardians of whom I trust. She'll be fine, we mustn't stay away too long anyway"she said nuzzling her head in the stags wonderfully soft fluffy fluff. She pulled her head from the softness when she heard her friend bolting from the bushing asking if she could join. Orinoco laughed and looked at Brooks,"Im ok with it if Brooksie here is alright with it" she said nudging him with her shoulder when she said his name.

Brooks sighed when Poppy crashed through the bushes. He had hoped this trip would be more of a romantic retreat instead of a family vacation. "Alright Poppy, you can come. Just be sure you won't get hurt. I have other things to take care of besides saving you from walking into traffic." The stag wouldn't put it past the other doe to do such a stunt, even on accident.
Poppy`s demanor changed all of a sudden. "Oh no, it`s fine." she said tartly. "I wouldn`t object if you wanted to spend time with your precious mate. After all, who am I to object?"
I was alone since I was born. I think I might know how to make care of myself. I never got into a fight with... let`s say, a foolish yearling for example."
In reality, Poppy didn`t know if she really meant what she had said. She probably would not reveal her true feelings, though. Was it fair to feel resentment? Did they really think she was that foolish??
Orin frowned at her friends reaction to Brooks statement."Poppy....he didn't mean it in a bad way.."she flattened her ears into a sad expression. Orinoco never liked to leave others out. Even if being with Brooks alone would be nice, she just did not want Poppy to feel like a third wheel. Poppy was like a sister to her. This sudden and rather unexpected change in her tone surprised the doe. "I know you are not that foolish, in fact if anyone would stumble into traffic it would probably be me" she laughed and in her heart she believed it to be true. Her statement was not said to just calm the doe down. Slowly she approached the doe and nuzzled her apologetically,"Is everything alright Pops?"

Orin was resting in a field of flowers. Her eyes heavy but she needed to talk to her mate. He needed to know of her problems. She waited until his scent caught her nostrils. Slowly and with some trouble she stood and called out to him so he would know where she was.
(I have to sleep or else I would have switched Vesas for Orin..though atm she is not really all that fun in forest -_- with her exhaustion and all)

Brooks ears perked up at the sound of his mate's call. He stood up straight and ceased his grazing, a large clump of grass with the roots still on hanging unceremoniously out of the corner of his mouth. Chomping down near the roots, he got the rest of his grass and let the roots fall back to the ground. Turning tail and running, Brooks finished eating as he ran back to Orinoco.
"Someone wrong, Orinoco? You sounded... almost... sad when you called." He said softly as he sat down beside her and nuzzled up close, there to provide fluff if she needed warmth.

Brooks shifted uncomfortably in his spot, not knowing that Poppy's reaction would be so extreme.
Orin smiled when she saw her mate come into view."You have something on your face Brooksie" she said with a soft laugh and nuzzled off the dirt that had stuck from the roots earlier. Her eye lids were drooped low but her smile remained strong. "I need to talk with you ....I've been having...problems sleeping lately..it is why you have not seen me around..I just..didn't want to scare you"she said leaning on him, letting the full weight of her neck to rest on his stronger body. She sighed. Oh how she loved his fluff. As her eyes closed the red eyes of the demons plaging her dreams surfaced almost instantly and her eyes flashed open and she lifted her head. A deep, desperate sigh left her and she looked at him. "Ive had horrible nightmares..and they are getting worse....they are..of things I once knew and I am afraid that...what I thought were just nightmares..are really...well...real"she shivered and leaned on him again but refused to close her tired eyes,"Brooks Im scared...I fear for my life if these nightmares are more than just figments of my deep dark imagination.."

Just wanted to post here to say that I'm going to the beach for a few days with meh family, so I'll only be able to post if my Nook gets internet connection. Hopefully, the hotel that we're staying at has Wifi XD

When she started to speak about her nightmare, he shivered ever so slightly, remembering the time when his nightmare used to plague him with fear. Leaning over, the stag planted a soft kiss on her forehead. "I wonder if there is a way for a pair of deer to combine their dreams. The dream would fight off the nightmare and everything would be alright in the end... 'Course, I'm not trying to make light of your situation. Nightmares, especially the ones that keep you awake... It's awful." Brooks rubbed the back of Orinoco's neck back and forth gently with his throat, trying to instill calm feelings in his mate. "Normally I would ask you to sleep, and I think I might. But if you're so fearful... Perhaps it's best.... No. I'm here. Don't worry, Love. Staying awake for so long... It'll only make the monsters seem worse than they really are." He said softly, calmly.
Orinoco smiled as Brooks tried to comfort her by rubbing his oh so wonderfully fluffy neck on hers. It helped at least calm the raw nerves. "I am not sure this is an ordinary nightmare Brooks..."she shivered lightly then scooted as close as she could to her mate, burying her head in his fur. "These things...the things in my nightmares...they are what tried to kill me as a human...and as a newborn and I fear that they have come back..."

08 and I have been talking about her "powers" and how they are driven by magic. Orin's dream demons are in fact the real thing and eventually will escape the dream side and try to physically attack her. Cali will see this and in fear for her mommy's life will us a burst of magic that destroys them. (We also decided that Cali is Orinoco's mother reincarnated if you didn't know that already :3

I'm thinking, since she's still building up to it, that in a short bit maybe Brooks goes after them, telling Cali to stay but she secretly follows at a distance, sees he's in trouble when he confronts them, uses some magic to minimize his damage taken then go weak, go back to Orin for resting for all of them, then the demon dudes come after Cali, wanting to take her picto too (in revenge for Orin's mom). With Brooks and Orin out of commission she summons what she's got (without realizing it), puts a block on all their minds (because she doesn't fight, just defensive/protective spells), which hurts them, not having access to their minds, weakening without the link and drops the gem as they temporarily retreat. Orin gets her picto back, they all heal for a while, then when Cali gets a little older she can permanently banish the demons. Till then there are periodic skirmishes with them.
Is that okay??? I don't wanna take over or anything, just opinions/suggestions.
