I have tried these blogs twice now, and it never worked for me. Partly because I
was trying too much at once on a character that had far too rigid an idea. I could
never stipulate from it. To be honest, I do not know if this will work again. But I
had to. This pictogram is far too beautiful to just let it sit there. I want to
make something with it. It will possibly be another attempt at "Parasol" but I do not
want to hold any expectations to it. I want to see what I can fill this blank canvas with.

What does the pictogram remind you of?

To me, it reminds me of Ancient ruins, ancient kingdoms. Something lost and treasured.
Of Princes and Princesses in exotic kingdoms.

Well I can never make tables align and work right,
they are always a little bit off. Same with tabs.
Best leave that to the pro's.

I want to play around with some designs first. I reallyyy like this set.
I am even toying with the idea of having his pelt as is. Not sure at this
point, I may fiddle with it a little. I just really love the noh pelt.

I seem to be influenced a lot by "desert" and "ancient". I will have to look
into this with future sketches and designs. I imagine him to be very regal
and possibly very vain and scathing. But that is just one possibility.

I have endless ones.

Next I will compile a list of all the wonderful suggestions you have given me.

Thankyou all for the wonderful suggestions. Honestly. I did not expect this many people to input.

Ive added some rough design ideas/sketches for now. I love playing with designs. Next Ill list everyones suggestions and we shall see where we go from there!

I am really liking what you

I am really liking what you have here design-wise. The pelt and antlers work together perfectly, and the touches you added look fabulous. I especially like the idea of him having an Oryx tail. I think you should definitely see where this route takes you, as I am really liking it sofar. <3

The first sketch made me

The first sketch made me squeel. Very, very lovely face there. And you know my weakness with those ears. The screenshot edit = love. Just really good job there. I think the antlers fit, default antlers may be slightly dull. Or would you go for stubs then and remove the antlers altogether? I think these fit the regal look.
The second sketch made me rub my chin. Where you take a very original view on the antlers and face, you stick really close to the original in the pelt. The face and antlers also still have that in-forest look to them, they don't sway impossibly far and I like where your artistic freedom took you. But with the pelt you seem more hesistant. The oryx-tail gives me some kind of an elegant feeling, whilst the chest area is very massive. This could be a nice contrast to play with, or out of sync. Perhaps try making a very slender version, or make a bigger contrast? Like, a longer, thinner tail, with a very big chest but a small waist. I don't know.
Oh yes, perhaps involve a shade you use on the antlers somewhere on the body to balance it out a little. I think you added it on the face a little, what about hooves or the tip of the tail?

Thanks Mis! Yes, I am well aware of the blatant similarities between my scribble and the noh pelt, to the point where I have changed nothing. I just wanted to see how that design would look overall. Yknow when you just want to see how something looks? That was that moment. The nexk looks a little bit big, that was my own fault there, not very good with deer anatomy heh.

I am pleased with the antlers though, I am not sure I really want to change anything about them, but I guess we will see...Lots of options to play with so far. But hey, its only early days.

I know this is really late,

I know this is really late, but I see a small tree- like a pine of sorts- with its roots below, too far extended. More growth is happening with the roots than the actual tree, growing in instead of out, hindering its outward appearrance and its health. It won't survive unless the rest of it grows as well...

Very pretty sketches, by the way. Lovely face and amazing antlers.
