Note: Endriaga can generally be assumed to be resting with Phaios or hanging around in a tree nearby [but likely will not be logged in]. Not a deer as she was before, but instead a miniature dragon.

How many years has it been?
Has spent the last few months with little in the way of drama. Content to be bored most of the time, although she does at times feel quite lonely. As such, she has been happily reconnecting with Illrose and Carmine when she comes across them. In particular, surprised and incredibly grateful when first Illrose and then Carmine sought her out in the deep fog of October and stayed with her for a number of days until it passed; the mist bound her senses uncomfortably and left her on edge and feeling blind, but having a steady presence greatly eased that stress.
A little more melancholy now that the snow has arrived, often lost in thought. Not really a fan of the cold. Spending a little more time around Eraline's grave when she's on her own.
"So do I," the doe replies in
"I'm glad you've come back," she murmurs after a little while. "Aria needs all the reassurance she can get... and I've been a little overwhelmed." More than a little.
"You look like hell,
(I keep losing my connection, sorry if Dinah keeps disappearing, idk what's going on with my interwebs.)
Dinah ♥ Ah, I wondered
--
The doe gives a half-hearted chuckle that ends in a hacking cough. "I feel like hell," she manages after she's recovered. "I don't know names... I assume the family a fawn was stolen from some time ago... They went after Morioch - Thane's..." here she pauses briefly, wondering if Dinah knew him by another name. "Xetkal's," she amends, "son. I got in the way, is all. Not enough, though.. He was killed." Phai sighs softly. "At least, that's what started it. There's been a lot going on lately, seems like, and I just keep managing to open everything again."
A little overwhelmed... he
Waning- "Mm." He's right, of
"Mm." He's right, of course, but what she doesn't voice is that she can't afford to let herself flounder. Not with Aria as she is, and a mess of fawns now without their best hope of a semi-sane role model and peace-maker, and Irie still missing, and... Well, she just has too much to do to be down and out like this. Not wanting to get into it, though, she takes the subject change readily. "Be glad you did, then. I'd hate to add 'hunt down Akhenaton for breaking my daughter's heart' to my list." She may or may not have contemplated wringing his neck upon his return, but at least she hadn't ever intended to maim him too badly. And besides, he can make himself useful, now that he's here.
He half smiled, but wasn't
Xetkal registered all right,
"Xetkal's son was killed?" Was she comprehending correctly? Good. GOOD.
Dinah- "Yes," she answers
"Yes," she answers solemnly. "He calls himself 'Thane' now - he has since Eraline died. I don't know why. I haven't seen head or hide of him in a while, but his beast took the body of his son... I'm sure he knows, and I dread what may be yet to come as retribution. Things have been quiet the past few days, and I just know there's a storm ahead. And there are more fawns involved, now. Moro was probably the best chance they had at a normal life... Xet has forbidden me from being with the family, so I can't intervene as well as I did with his first two." Phaios closes her eyes and she lays her head on one foreleg. "I'm worried."
--------
Waning-
It was, perhaps, a little bit of both. In all, the doe herself is really rather harmless; she has no desire to see Akhen hurt, and there were a number of potential suitors for her daughter she'd choose Akhen over any day. Maybe just a good bop on the head and a 'what the hell were you thinking?' would serve him right - but she's got larger worries at the moment, and the thought is pushed to the back of her mind. "Good," she smiles faintly. "I'll hold you to it."
The family? This abomination
He nodded, stating a simple,
Dinah- Need not worry.
Need not worry. Somehow she doesn't feel that way. The doe buries her muzzle into her carpus to stifle another cough. "My granddaughter is missing, my daughter's worried sick, a fawn I helped raise is dead and his father may tear apart half the Forest for revenge, and he's got three new fawns to twist against the world. What's there to worry about?" she replies dryly.
-------
Waning-
"Pride, tch. I think I lost that in the birch the other day, with my sanity." Phaios clears her throat, trying to rid it of an itch that threatens to make her lungs spasm again. "No... I'll be alright. Take care of Aria while I'm ill and we'll call it even for you leaving."
His beak twitched into
"Right now, worry about
Dinah- "It's been some time
"It's been some time now, yes," she answers quietly, eyeing the larger doe as she gets a little more assertive. "And you say that like I'm fond of Xetkal." His children might be another matter, but the bongo makes her uneasy. "I avoid him where I'm able." She has to wonder what Dinah means, though, in saying karma had already begun. Was she up to something? But Phai only sighs again and lets it go; she doesn't need another question of morality to roll around in her head. The party's large enough.
She smiled softly and

Orin- "You're allowed to
"You're allowed to have... moments... with your mate, Dove." Oh gawsh please no birds and bees. She shakes her head at Aria's question. "No... I don't eat, dear." Even after two years in the Forest - goodness, has it been that long? - she still finds it odd that she has to explain her eating habits; they had been completely normal back home. Phaios leaves the subject of water untouched, however, and quickly shifts the subject back again. "Ari... You're always going to wonder about how well you're able to raise your little ones. Look at you and your sister - all grown up and I still worry, but you've both turned out just fine."

She thought about that for a moment. It was very true though she felt things were far out of her own compared to most others. "I guess I just need to take it one day at a time...huh..."she said with a crooked smile as she looked up at her.

Where would Pai put a whole pond? Pica felt verily assured. Speaking of thirst.. but Pica must listen to where Pai came from first. With a great effort, she steered her mind away from her growing thirst to listen to what Pai said, feeling a slight vibration as she spoke. Pica giggled quietly - she could hear Pai's muffled speech through the vibrations, and crawled back into her fluff to hear it. In the darkness, it was all too easy to imagine the world that Pai spoke of, and Pica soon became lost into the world of dreams.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
Niri ♥ One ear flicks
One ear flicks at the giggle. What was so funny about the story? But ah, well - kids will be kids. She raises a brow at the wriggling - hadn't they finished with that? And then it's just... quiet. Had Pica suffocated in her fur? Oh goodness... But no, there's a little tickle of breath against her neck. She had expected the fawn to be full of more questions, since it seemed she was a never-ending well of them, and she's rather surprised to find the fawn has gone silent. It takes her a few moments to figure out what exactly has happened, but it soon dawns on her that little Pica might have dozed off. Yawning, she figures it probably won't hurt her to do the same, since she certainly can't move until the little one wakes of her own accord. Well, she could, but she'd feel bad - so she doesn't. Content to snuggle with a little poof ball for the night, the doe lets her lids droop and nods off.
She laughed again. It was not

Pica dreams of swirls, feathers, fluff and the gentle voice of Pai telling her that mushrooms tasted good. In the swirling blue forest she said to the Pai-voice: "But Pai don't eat!" Silence.

Orin- Phai smiles quietly to
Phai smiles quietly to herself, still preening her daughter's feathers. Always with this thanking thing. "That's what moms are for," she replies simply. "So tell me - what else have you been up to, lately? I feel like I've hardly seen you in the past several days." She'd been a busy bee, as the cuts across her shoulders could testify.

Niri-
Haha, if you want we can keep going, or start a new one Phai just knows better than to wake a sleeping child xD And what color? o:
The doe's ear twitches as she lingers on the edge of consciousness. Had Pica said something? "Mm?" she ventures drowsily, wondering if she was just imagining things as she teetered on the edge. It had happened before.

Pica awoke with a muffled squeak, frantically trying to flail her legs to get whatever was squishing her off, the voice of Pai still echoing in her ears. The darkness had become much too suffocating - in desperation, she cries out; "Pai!" For the brown doe had been most mother-like figure to her since her mama, and she instinctively felt that she was the one to run to.

It's rather difficult to drift off with little toes jabbing you in the side of your neck. "Nnfh! Gracious... Pica. Pica, I'm right here," she answers, confused as she lifts her head to reveal the little thing flailing against her. Peering down at the fawn curiously, Phai inquires, "Bad dream..?"

"Hrnn?" Dragging herself with a great fawn-effort out of the rest of her dream, Pica comes to her senses - and with an apologetic glance, crawls out from under Pai, the fresh air cold on her small sweaty form. Breathing deeply, the small fawn blinks at the bright sunlight before turning around to frantically nuzzle Pai again. "Uh-huh. Water." Was all she said, before sniffing at the air and bounding off in the general direction of the pond.

Phai rasps her tongue against Pica's forehead for some reassuring grooming. "Water?" Had Pica been dreaming about drowning? Oh... Oh, water, she realizes, as the fawn leaps away. Heaving herself up, the doe trots after the little brown bundle that bounds ahead. Better make sure she doesn't fall in.

Echo-
A smile flickers across her muzzle as the warm body of the fawn snuggles up against her damp side. "Hey, you," she greets him warmly with a little nuzzle at his cheek.
The little fawn smiled, and

Humming happily, Pica wriggles in mid-air, with her little game of seeing how many wriggles she could do. Te small fawn did a double take though when she saw Pai heave herself up to follow her. But at least now Pica can splash her at the pond. Scenting water in the breeze, and taking one last glance towards Pai, Pica dashes towards the pond, and very nearly tumbles in after tripping over a half-submerged log. Stumbling up, Pica shakes out her fur - and turns into a spiky wet fluffball.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
Niri- Haha, that's exactly
Haha, that's exactly what Phai thought when she was a fawn x3
And I had a deer pattern I've modified a little... and black and white fabric... and I've been meaning to pick up brown fabric for a while now... and I have batting and noses and eyes...
So really all I need is to find my needles and thread and some brown fabric. o3o Might be my spring break project, haha.
Also, I've taken my sleeping pill, and typing is very difficult, so this is going to have to be the last one for the night and it may be slightly incoherent :<
---
Phai smiles slightly as Pica seems surprised to see her following. And... what's this jig she's doing? The doe chuckles to herself each time the fawn bounces up. Ah, kids. Oh! And off she goes. Lengthening her stride, Phai trails after Pica at an easy lope. When the fawn's head vanishes beneath the water, however, her steps kick into an urgent canter for several beats before that little nose re-surfaces. "Did you forget you weren't a fish for a minute there?" she chides gently as she reaches the banks of the pond.

Glancing towards Pai, Pica attempts to smooth down her fur, to no avail. So rather grumpily, she turns to face Pai, a much more fluffier ball of wet than she had started with earlier. "Inorrafishy.. A barely audible grumble is heard as Pica sneezes out droplets of water from her nose. Pica dunks her body into the water with her head held high, fur spread out on the surface of the water before submerging as she wriggles about in the bank mud.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
"Oh." The little fawn
Niri- "Yernerrisshy?" she
"Yernerrisshy?" she mimics Pica's little mumble with a smile. The fawn's just too cute all spiked up and grouchy, and it takes some effort not to laugh. The doe is a little surprised, though, when Pica decides to start flailing about in the muck. She might not be a fish, but maybe she can be a mud monster. Phaios steps forward and settles on the bank of the pond, just close enough that she can reach forward and take a few sips of water at the edge.

"Yes, I think so," she answers softly. "It doesn't hurt as much today." At least, the cuts themselves didn't.

With her ears dragged down into the water from the weight of he wet fur on them, Pica thankfully does not hear Pai's imitation of her grumble and continues wriggling around blissfully in the slippery mud unsure whether the sensation of the cool mud pressing against her side was good or bad. Pica decided good, just because Pai was there. And if Pai were there, why shouldn't she join in as well? Rising stealthily, pica inches forwards, under the pretence of frolicking around.

Lifting her muzzle from the water, droplets speckling the thin fur of her snout and chin, the doe peers curiously at Pica. The fawn's sudden cessation of thrashing and playing wiggles at a little red flag somewhere in the back of her mind, but she still seems busy enough playing in the water. Phaios cocks her head to one side as she watches the little one and wonders how she'll go about convincing Pica she needs some serious bath time after she's finished thoroughly sludging herself. Kids never seemed to like baths. Hmm.

Out of the corner of her eye, Pica sees that Pai is unaware of her master plan. As she allows a small giggle to escape, Pica suddenly splashes up the bank, covering the short distance in a few moments to flail and rub on Pai's back with her muddy hooves and sides, and making as big a mess and splash as she could possibly do.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!

When the fawn turns and crashes through the water, Phai's brows shoot up and her ears lay flat in surprise. Ohhh, no, you don't! She makes to spring to her feet, but the soft earth of the bank gives way beneath her frantic hooves and her scramble only serves to splash her face-first into the shallows while Pica has her muddy way with her sides and back. Very graceful, Phai. A yelp of protest is lost beneath the surface of the water, the only proof of its existence a mess of bubbles and a muffled "Blhhrlbh!"

Pica was having way too much fun. But not for long - when she turned around to see how Pai was reacting to this she was verily alarmed to see that Pai seemed to be having a unique reaction. Most of-sames would either look surprised or annoyed - the annoyed ones she quickly scampered off - but Pai seemed to be.. blowing bubbles in the water? Curious, Pica hops off her to shuffle forwards and bend down to further inspect exactly what Pai was doing. "....Pai?"
